Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effectiveness of using the Muhammad Al-Fatih comic media in improving the religious character of students at SDN 22 Parepare City. The research seeks to map the initial condition of students’ religious character before the treatment was administered, measure the changes that occurred after the use of comic media, and determine the level of effectiveness of the media through the acquisition of improvement scores (N-Gain Score). The main focus of this study is to provide an innovative solution in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning through visual media that is appropriate for the developmental stage of elementary school students. The research method employed was quantitative with a Pre-Experimental design of the One Group Pretest–Posttest type. The research sample consisted of 19 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection instrument was a religious character questionnaire consisting of 37 validated statement items. The data analysis techniques included descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the N-Gain Score test. The implications of this research indicate that comic media effectively reduces students’ boredom in learning Islamic Religious Education and facilitates the internalization of abstract religious values into more concrete concepts for elementary school students. The use of inspirational figures such as Muhammad Al-Fatih provides a real model of exemplary behavior that can enhance students’ motivation and character development. These findings support the concept that the crystallization of religious character during the concrete operational stage is more optimally achieved through innovative visual media compared to conventional teaching methods.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of work environment and principal leadership on the level of teacher and education staff engagement in school programs and activities at SMAN 1 Muara Wahau. The research used a quantitative approach with explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale distributed to teachers and education staff. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that the work environment has a significant positive effect on engagement, principal leadership has a significant positive effect on engagement, and both variables simultaneously influence the level of engagement. These findings indicate that creating a supportive work environment and strengthening principal leadership are essential to improving participation in school programs.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effect of Smart Genzbox as an innovative learning media integrated with a deep learning approach in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and engagement in learning about continents and countries in elementary schools. This research employs a systematic literature review method by examining reputable scientific articles published within the last five years using a thematic synthesis approach. The findings indicate that Smart Box-based media consistently improve conceptual understanding through the presentation of concrete, visual, and interactive learning materials, while also enhancing student engagement across behavioral, emotional, and cognitive dimensions. Furthermore, the integration of a deep learning approach strengthens the knowledge construction process through exploratory activities, conceptual connections, and reflective learning practices. This study identifies a gap in previous literature, which tends to separate the use of learning media from pedagogical approaches and remains predominantly focused on quantitative learning outcomes. Therefore, the novelty of this study lies in the conceptual integration of Smart Genzbox, student engagement, and deep learning within a unified analytical framework. The findings provide both theoretical and practical implications for developing meaningful, interactive, and student-centered learning in elementary education.

Abstract

The attention crisis among Generation Alpha has become a global phenomenon due to the massive penetration of digital technology, the acceleration of information flow, and exposure to algorithm-based media that shape instant cognitive patterns. In a national context, this challenge has a significant impact on the effectiveness of learning in educational institutions, particularly in Islamic Religious Education, which demands deep reflection, concentration, and internalization of values. The urgency of this study lies in the need to reconstruct contemporary learning designs that are responsive to the neurocognitive characteristics of students without neglecting the affective and spiritual dimensions. This study aims to conceptually analyze the attention crisis among Generation Alpha and formulate its implications for the reconstruction of Islamic Religious Education learning designs in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study type. Data sources include books, reputable journal articles, and international research reports related to developmental psychology, digital pedagogy, and Islamic Religious Education. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation and systematic searches of scientific databases. Data analysis uses content analysis and thematic synthesis techniques, while data validity is maintained through source triangulation and diligent observation of the literature. The results show that the attention crisis is influenced by digital distractions, multitasking, and information fragmentation, which result in decreased focus and depth of thinking. Reconstruction of learning design needs to emphasize interactive learning strategies, targeted technology integration, reflective project based learning, and strengthening self-regulation. The implications of this study emphasize theoretical contributions to the development of values-based digital pedagogy and practical contributions for teachers in designing adaptive and transformative Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of local wisdom and deep learning in social studies learning to improve students’ self-efficacy and cultural awareness. This research uses a literature study method by analyzing various relevant scientific journals. The results show that local wisdom-based learning can increase students' cultural awareness and character, while deep learning can improve engagement, critical thinking, and self-efficacy. However, most studies still discuss these approaches separately. Therefore, integrating both approaches is important to create meaningful and innovative learning. This study concludes that the integration of local wisdom and deep learning has great potential to support cultural sustainability and improve students’ competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of technology-based Tajweed educational game applications in learning the Qur'an Hadith in grade IV of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam. This study also examines students' learning experiences, teachers' perspectives, and factors that support or inhibit their use. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the application can create a more interactive and student-focused Tajweed learning process with material features, audio pronunciation features, and interactive quizzes. This application has also been proven to increase motivation, participation, independence, and increase students' confidence in reading the Qur'an correctly according to the rules of tajweed. Teachers gave positive responses to the use of the application. As a learning support tool in the digital era, the use of this application is supported by student enthusiasm, attractive audio-visual displays, and guidance from teachers. However, some challenges still remain, such as limited devices, limited internet access, limited study time, and potential obstacles due to smartphone use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Case Based Learning (CBL) model assisted by YouTube media on the negotiation text writing skills of class X students of MAN 1 Padang City. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research sample consisted of 33 students determined through a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a negotiation text writing performance test assessed based on aspects of structure, content, linguistic rules, and accuracy of spelling. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to examine differences in abilities before and after treatment. The results showed that the average student writing skills increased from 49.48 in the pretest to 82.75 in the posttest, with a difference of 33.27. This increase indicates a significant difference in abilities between before and after the implementation of the learning model. These findings indicate that the integration of the CBL model with YouTube media has the potential to improve negotiation text writing skills, especially in the aspects of developing a logical text structure, content accuracy, and language use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of implementing multiplication board learning media and test its effectiveness in improving mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 98 Sailong, Bone Regency. This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in multiplication material, so that learning innovations are needed that can help students understand the concept of multiplication easily. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which was carried out in two cycles with 8 subjects. Data collection techniques consisted of observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The study was carried out through the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, learning completeness was 25% (average 40). increased to 50% (average 63.75) in cycle I, and reached 100% (average 93.75) in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of multiplication board media is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 98 Sailong, Bone Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Padlet as a digital learning medium in Indonesian language learning and its impact on student engagement. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The subjects of this study consisted of students and a teacher involved in Indonesian language learning at an elementary school. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation to maintain accuracy and trustworthiness. The results showed that the use of Padlet was able to increase student engagement in Indonesian language learning. Students became more active in completing tasks, providing comments, and participating in discussions. In addition, Padlet facilitated interaction and collaboration among students, enhanced their confidence in expressing ideas, and supported the development of writing skills in a more creative and structured manner. Although some challenges were found, such as limited internet access and students’ digital literacy, overall Padlet proved to be an effective, interactive, collaborative, and meaningful learning medium.

Abstract

The academic of students in IPAS instruction at the elementary school level is a concern that needs to be addressed in the learning process. This research intends to enhance students' academic performance in IPAS by utilizing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method. This is a classroom action research study employing both quantitative and qualitative methods, carried out in two cycles: Cycle I included two sessions,  while Cycle II featured one session. The study participants consisted of 27 fourth-grade pupils at SDN 21 Bandar Buat in Padang, including 14 boys and 13 girls. The findings indicated progress in every cycle; learning outcomes rose from an average of 72 in Cycle I to 87 in Cycle II. Likewise, for the teaching module, the average rose from 73% in Cycle I to 93% in Cycle II. Concerning teacher performance, the average of 74% in Cycle I rose to 89% in Cycle II. Concerning student participation, the average of 73% in Cycle I rose to 89% in Cycle II.
