Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This section provides an introduction to the paper, which highlights cognitive stagnation in Islamic education resulting from the dominance of bayani reasoning—a textual-dogmatic approach. The primary issue addressed is the low level of students’ critical thinking skills in understanding natural phenomena or kauniyah verses, as reflected in PISA data that places Indonesian students’ science literacy in an alarming position. The significance of this paper lies in the effort to reconstruct the teaching methods of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) so that it does not merely become indoctrination, but rather a dialogical space for intellectual development. The methodology employed is descriptive qualitative research using a library research approach, integrating Hans-Georg Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics and Muhammad Abed al-Jabiri’s critique of reason. The findings of this study indicate that the application of hermeneutical steps—including historical consciousness, pre-understanding, dialogue, and the fusion of horizons—can transform students’ reasoning from a bayani pattern toward a more rational-empirical burhani reasoning. This finding confirms that hermeneutics is not merely a tool for text interpretation but an effective method of critical reasoning to enhance students’ critical thinking in understanding the interconnection between revelation and the reality of the universe.

This study aims to determine the effect of the High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program on improving the physical endurance of students participating in the soccer extracurricular program at UPTD SMPN Satap 1 Bajawa. The research method used is an experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The research subjects consisted of 20 students who participated in the soccer extracurricular activity. The instrument used to measure physical endurance was a fitness test, namely the beep test, to assess cardiorespiratory endurance capacity. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in students' physical endurance after the HIIT treatment was administered. This is evidenced by the difference in the average scores between the pretest and posttest, where the posttest scores were higher than the pretest scores. Statistical testing using the t-test indicated that the significance value was less than 0.05, meaning that the HIIT program had a significant effect on improving students' physical endurance. Therefore, the High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program can be used as an effective training method to enhance the physical endurance of students in the soccer extracurricular program at UPTD SMPN Satap 1 Bajawa.

This study aims to conduct an in-depth evaluation of the effectiveness of integrating a hermeneutical approach into tafsir instruction at the Madrasah Aliyah level as a balancing mechanism between textual mastery through memorization and depth of contextual understanding. The primary issue underlying this study is the tendency of traditional pedagogical methods to often become trapped in one-way, passive, and mechanistic learning patterns, resulting in a disconnect between sacred texts and contemporary social realities, such as issues of gender equality and environmental ethics. The significance of this research lies in the need to formulate a learning methodology that is adaptive to the dynamics of the 21st century without neglecting the sacredness of revelation. The methodology used is qualitative research in the form of a literature review that analyzes the thoughts of hermeneutical figures such as Fazlur Rahman and Hans-Georg Gadamer in the context of the madrasah curriculum. The research findings indicate that the application of the theories of double movement and fusion of horizons significantly enhances students’ critical thinking skills and social responsiveness. Empirical findings from the pilot project show a 23% increase in students’ spirituality and an 18% increase in their sense of social responsibility. It is concluded that hermeneutics functions as an epistemological bridge that transforms texts from static entities into dynamic ethical-moral guidelines.

Civic culture is the concept of the importance of community participation in collective welfare embodied in the mahanyari baras tradition. Elements of civic culture, such as social networking, solidarity, and participation, are considered important to be actualized, so that they are not merely a matter of reason alone but also become the basis for good behavior in society. This study aims to understand the process of the mahanyari baras tradition while analyzing its civic culture. The method used is qualitative with purposive sampling. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, followed by analysis through data presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the mahanyari baras tradition process consists of planning including a series of harvest activities until the paddy becomes rice, as well as providing tools and materials to carry out the mahanyari baras tradition. The tradition’s implementation includes reciting prayers and eating together. The final result of this traditional activity is the distribution of hanyar rice to those in need. Elements of civic culture such as social networking, solidarity, and participation are also evident in this tradition. This is seen through various forms of togetherness, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility for the common good that grow from the existence of this tradition in the community.

This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by the principal of a madrasah in addressing resistance to change during the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Mutiara Aulia Sei Mencirim Sunggal. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teacher resistance manifests in various forms, such as a lack of understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum concept, difficulties in adapting project-based learning methods, limited use of technology, and a mindset that remains conventional. The madrasah principal’s strategies for addressing resistance are carried out through managerial functions. During the planning stage, the principal conducts outreach and develops work programs in a participatory manner. In the organizing stage, tasks were assigned and a curriculum team was formed. This was followed by the implementation stage, where the principal applied a transformational leadership approach, providing training, mentoring, and motivation to teachers. Meanwhile, during the monitoring stage, periodic evaluations were conducted to ensure the successful implementation of the curriculum. The research results also indicate that these strategies were effective in increasing teachers’ acceptance of the changes, although several challenges remain that require ongoing resolution.

The mathematical visual representation ability of junior high school students is still relatively low. Therefore, learning media is needed that can help students understand concepts in a more concrete and interesting way. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of animated video media to improve students' mathematical visual representation abilities, as well as to determine the extent of improvement in students' mathematical visual representation abilities after using the media. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 35 students of class IX G of SMP Negeri 8 Kota Serang. The results of the study showed that the developed animated video media obtained a validity percentage of 92% from material experts and 87% from media experts with very valid criteria. The results of the practicality test obtained a percentage of 87% from teachers and 88% from students with very practical criteria. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. The N-Gain test result of 0.56 is in the moderate category. Thus, the developed animated video media is valid, practical, effective, and capable of improving students' mathematical visual representation skills.

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of Pancasila education of grade IV students of UPTD SD Negeri 1 Sumber Hadi. This study aims to determine (1) the effect of the application of the VCT learning model assisted by wordwall on the learning outcomes of Pancasila education of grade IV elementary school students (2) the effect of the application of the VCT learning model assisted by canva on the learning outcomes of Pancasila education of grade IV elementary school students (3) the difference in the effect of the application of the VCT learning model assisted by wordwall and canva on the learning outcomes of Pancasila education of grade IV elementary school students. The method used in this study is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design type, namely non-equivalent control group design. The population is 34 students, by determining the research sample using probability sampling techniques in the form of cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques in this study use tests and non-tests. Hypothesis testing uses paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results of the study (1) there is an influence of the application of the VCT learning model assisted by wordwall on the learning outcomes of Pancasila education with a significance of 0.000 (2) there is an influence of the application of the VCT learning model assisted by canva on the learning outcomes of Pancasila education with a significance of 0.000 (3) there is a difference in the influence of the application of the VCT learning model assisted by wordwall and canva on the learning outcomes of Pancasila education with a significance of 0.045.

This study aims to describe the teacher's strategy in planning and implementing the Musical Mnemonic Integration (MMI) method to improve the auditory memory of students in Indonesian language learning at SDN 80/I Muara Bulian. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with the third-grade teacher and principal, participant observation of the learning process, and documentation of teaching devices. The results showed that the teacher's strategy was carried out through three systematic stages: planning by modifying material into song lyrics, implementation by utilizing rhythms and melodies as encoding tools, and evaluation through direct observation of student recall. The findings indicate that the integration of music effectively increases students' focus and enthusiasm, helping them transfer information into long-term memory. Despite constraints such as limited musical instruments and time, teacher creativity and school support are key to the successful optimization of students' auditory memory.

This study aims to develop multicultural teaching materials based on the Sasak Tribe in the content of Science Chapter 6 of grade IV SDN2 Ampenan. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the development model of Analysis, Design. Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE). Data collection in this study used questionnaires and documentation. Questionnaires were given for validation by material experts, validation by media experts, and student responses. While documentation was obtained from pictures or photos in research activities. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively, using a scoring table and a percentage of feasibility. The results showed that the teaching materials developed obtained a media expert validation score of 93% with a very valid category, and a material expert validation score of 83% with a very valid category. The practicality test showed a positive response from students of 92% with a very practical category and a teacher response of 98% with a very practical category. This shows that the Sasak tribe multicultural learning module is suitable for use in learning Science Chapter 6 of grade IV. This teaching material can help students understand the material more easily because it is directly related to their culture and environment, and supports the goals of the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes contextual learning.

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of Pancasila Education of fifth-grade students at SDN 46 Cakranegara, this is caused by the implementation of learning models that do not actively involve students, learning that is not student-centered, and the use of learning media that is less interactive. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament learning model on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Pancasila Education. This study uses a quantitative research method of the Quasi-Experimental type with a Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The sample in this study was class VA as the experimental class and class VB as the control class determined through saturated sampling techniques. Data were collected through test instruments and observations, then analyzed using the Independent Sample t-Test. The results of this study indicate that the t-count (-3.175) > t-table (2.014) with an Effect Size of 0.93. Therefore, the Teams Games Tournament learning model has a positive and effective influence in improving the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education of fifth-grade students at SDN 46 Cakranegara.
