Abstract

Unemployment remains a significant labor issue in Indonesia, particularly among young people of productive age with diverse educational backgrounds. This study aims to analyze the differences in the causes of unemployment based on educational level, namely elementary school, junior high school, high school/vocational school, and university graduates. The study uses a comparative qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with respondents aged 16-30 years selected using purposive sampling techniques, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results showed that the causes of unemployment differed at each level of education. Among elementary and junior high school graduates, unemployment was influenced by low levels of education and limited skills. For high school/vocational school graduates, the main obstacles are related to high job competition and minimal work experience. Meanwhile, for university graduates, unemployment is more influenced by high job competition, work experience requirements, and skill mismatch with labor market needs. The results of this study show the importance of improving the quality of human resources through relevant job training and strengthening the link between education and the needs of the world of work.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Inquiry learning model on students’ learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on the topic of human body organs among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 040448 Kabanjahe. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The research design was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes: class V-A as the experimental group with 35 students and class V-B as the control group with 29 students. The research instrument used was a multiple-choice test consisting of 25 items that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were collected through pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing with a t-test using SPSS version 22. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 81.57, which was higher than the control class average score of 70.34. The hypothesis test result showed a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating that H₁ was accepted and H₀ was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Inquiry learning model has a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes in IPAS on the topic of human body organs for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 040448 Kabanjahe.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of teachers' pedagogical competence in developing Lesson Plans (RPP) at MI Al-Hidayah. The primary issue driving this research is the tendency of teachers to prepare RPP merely for administrative compliance without a deep understanding of pedagogical principles. The methodology employed is quantitative descriptive using a survey method with online questionnaires (Google Form). The research sample consists of 15 teachers selected through exhaustive sampling. The research instrument was validated, resulting in 29 valid items with very high reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.966). The results indicate that the pedagogical competence of teachers at MI Al-Hidayah in developing RPP falls into the "Fair" category, with an average achievement level of 70%. Although teachers demonstrate a good basic understanding of administrative aspects and student characteristics, significant weaknesses were found in applying modern learning theories, integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and developing varied and objective assessment instruments. As a follow-up, academic supervision programs, contextual RPP development training, and the strengthening of the School Learning Community (KBS) are required to enhance teacher professionalism

Abstract

This research was conducted in response to the limited argumentative writing abilities demonstrated by vocational high school students, which are influenced by students’ difficulties in structuring arguments coherently and the limited use of interactive instructional media. The study seeks to design a digital teaching module integrated with Nearpod and to examine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing students’ argumentative writing competence. The research adopted a Research and Development (R&D) approach applying the ADDIE framework, encompassing the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study involved 40 vocational high school students as participants. Data were collected through expert validation instruments, questionnaires assessing both teacher and student responses, as well as pretest and posttest assessments. The collected data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical methods, specifically the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and N-Gain analysis. The findings indicated that the developed module achieved a very high feasibility level, obtaining validation scores of 88% from material experts and 90% from media experts. Responses from both teachers and students categorized the module as highly practical, reflected in percentages of 86.6% and 88.2%, respectively. Furthermore, the effectiveness analysis revealed an improvement in students’ average scores from 50.80 to 83.00. Based on the Wilcoxon test, the significance value obtained was 0.000 (< 0.05), which confirms the presence of a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The calculated N-Gain score of 0.31 demonstrated a moderate level of improvement. Accordingly, the Nearpod-based digital teaching module can be considered feasible, practical, and effective in supporting the development of argumentative writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of GeoCube media on students' collaborative abilities in learning about geospheric phenomena at SMA Negeri 1 Talamau, West Pasaman Regency. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using a T-test. The results showed that GeoCube media had an effect on students' collaborative abilities, with a significance value of 0.039 <0.05, indicating a difference between the experimental and control classes, where the average for the experimental class was higher. The increase in collaborative abilities of the experimental class was in the moderate category, while the control class was low. Keywords: GeoCube Media, Collaborative Ability, Geography Learning ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media GeoCube terhadap kemampuan kolaboratif peserta didik pada pembelajaran fenomena geosfer di SMA Negeri 1 Talamau, Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media GeoCube terhadap kemampuan kolaboratif peserta didik, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,039 < 0,05, sehingga terdapat perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, di mana rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi. Abstract

Collaborative supervision is an approach to educational supervision that emphasizes equal cooperation between supervisors (e.g., principals or supervisors) and teachers to improve the quality of learning. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The subjects were principal and teachers at SDN (Inti) Sungai Miai 11 who served as research informants. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews with informants to obtain comprehensive information regarding the experiences, perceptions, and practices of collaborative supervision implemented. During the interview process, the researcher also systematically recorded all information obtained to ensure data accuracy and completeness. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the collaborative supervision approach has a positive contribution to improving teachers' professional competence. This is reflected in the increased ability of teachers to plan more structured learning, implement more interactive and student-centered learning, and conduct more effective learning evaluations. In addition, this approach also encourages more open communication between teachers and supervisors, increases reflective awareness, and builds a conducive collaborative culture in the school environment. Therefore, the implementation of collaborative supervision on an ongoing basis needs to be developed as part of efforts to improve the quality of education in elementary schools.

Abstract

The Kampus Mengajar 8 program is part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka policy which aims to improve the quality of education. This research is motivated by the low level of literacy of elementary school students, especially in the ability to read and understand texts. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of Kampus Mengajar 8 students in improving student literacy at SD Negeri 104 Rantau Panjang VIII. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that students play an active role as facilitators, motivators, and innovators in literacy learning, through programs such as reading corners, reading habits, and the use of creative learning media. The presence of students can increase students' interest in reading, improve reading comprehension skills, and create a more conducive learning environment. Thus, the Kampus Mengajar 8 program makes a positive contribution to efforts to improve literacy in elementary schools.

Abstract

Educational supervision aims to improve teacher professionalism, but its implementation is often suboptimal due to its administrative nature. Time constraints and minimal follow-up result in teachers' lack of reflection on learning. As a result, learning tends to be monotonous and less innovative. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the educational supervision approach in efforts to improve learning at An-Nur Integrated Islamic Junior High School. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation techniques involving the principal and teachers as research informants. The data obtained were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the educational supervision approach at An-Nur Integrated Islamic Junior High School is carried out through supervision planning activities, conducting learning observations, and providing feedback to teachers. The implementation of this supervision has a positive impact on improving the quality of learning, particularly in lesson planning, the use of more varied methods, and improving teachers' professional competence. Therefore, supervision needs to be implemented continuously with clear follow-up to optimize its impact. In addition, a more collaborative approach is needed so that teachers can be more active in developing learning innovations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Transformational Leadership on firm performance with Innovation Capability and Management Accounting System as mediating. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents involved in organizational activities. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results show that Transformational Leadership has a positive and significant effect on firm performance, innovation capability, and Management Accounting System.. Furthermore, the Management Accounting System has a positive and significant effect on firm performance, while Innovation Capability has a positive but not significant effect on firm performance. The mediation test results show that Innovation Capability does not mediate the relationship between Transformational Leadership and firm performance. In contrast, the Management Accounting System is proven to partially mediate the relationship.

Abstract

The rapid transformation in this digital age has brought new thinking to the education sector, especially at the elementary school level. Students are not only required to master academic knowledge but also need to possess various skills relevant to the needs of the times, one of which is social skills. Social Studies (IPS) subjects have a strategic role in shaping students' social skills because they are closely related to social life. This study aims to describe the role of IPS learning in improving the social skills of elementary school students in the 21st century. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Research data was obtained from various literature sources such as scientific journals and books relevant to the research topic. The results of the study indicate that IPS learning plays a significant role in improving students' social skills through various interactive and collaborative learning activities, such as group discussions, cooperation in completing assignments, and discussions of various social issues that occur in the surrounding environment. In addition, the role of teachers as facilitators, motivators, and mentors is also crucial in creating a learning environment that supports the development of students' social skills. Thus, social studies learning that is designed innovatively and is student-centered can be an effective means of developing students' social skills so that they are able to adapt and participate actively in community life in the 21st century.
