Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih bersifat konvensional dan kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Wordwall terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Perumnas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen menggunakan metode Pre-Experimental Design dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan SPSS. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Perumnas sebanyak 23 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis inferensial diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 8,361 lebih besar dari t tabel 1,717 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H₁ diterima dan H₀ ditolak. Selain itu, aktivitas belajar siswa selama pembelajaran menggunakan Wordwall berada pada kategori sangat aktif dengan persentase rata-rata 91,92%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Wordwall terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Perumnas.

The low scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students, as indicated by the results of the 2023 PISA (Philosophy of Biology), are a problem that requires serious attention in the world of education. This study aims to examine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' scientific literacy skills in biology learning. The method used was a systematic literature review approach to eight articles from national journals published in the last five years. The results of the study showed that all articles consistently demonstrated the positive and significant influence of the PBL model on students' scientific literacy skills in various biology materials, such as the excretory system, environmental change, and viruses. The advantage of PBL lies in its contextual problem-based approach that encourages students to think critically, conduct scientific inquiries, and integrate scientific concepts with real-life situations. The integration of PBL with the STEM approach has also been shown to further optimize the improvement of scientific literacy. It is concluded that the PBL model is an effective learning strategy and is recommended for improving students' scientific literacy skills in biology learning.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth-grade students at UPT SMP Negeri 11 Medan on the Pythagorean Theorem material. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 60 students, divided into 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an essay test based on Polya’s problem-solving stages, administered as pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental class increased from 38.43 to 84.47 in the posttest, while the control class increased from 22.47 to 56.00. The hypothesis test indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there was a significant difference between the two groups. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis showed that the experimental class achieved a high category (0.7512), while the control class was in the moderate category (0.4342). Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities.

This research is motivated by the low speaking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students, influenced by various multidimensional learning barriers, including communication anxiety (glossophobia). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the storytelling method in improving students' speaking skills classically. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles at SDN 01 Pamulang with 20 students as subjects. Data were collected through speaking performance tests and observations of learning activities, which were then analyzed using descriptive comparative techniques. The results of the study show a significant transformation in students' verbal abilities; there was a performance surge from the pre-cycle stage to Cycle II, reaching a classical completeness indicator of ≥85%. This success was driven by the synergy between the use of local wisdom (Majalengka Wisdom), the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features as a creativity stimulant, and the support of a professional school management ecosystem through reflective academic supervision. The conclusion of this study confirms that the storytelling method is a humanistic and innovative pedagogical strategy in reducing communication barriers and improving students' speaking competence in the era of educational change.

This study aims to determine the role of the project method in learning Arts and Culture, especially fine arts material, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation for fourth-grade students of MIS Tarbiyah Samasoge, East Flores Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the project method plays a positive role in improving student learning outcomes. This is indicated by increased activeness, creativity, cooperation, responsibility, and the ability to complete project assignments. Students also find it easier to understand the material because they are directly involved in practical activities. In addition, the project method is able to increase interest and motivation in learning as seen from student enthusiasm during learning. Supporting factors include the active role of teachers, the availability of learning media, and student cooperation. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited time, facilities and infrastructure, and differences in student abilities. Thus, the project method makes a positive contribution to learning outcomes in Arts and Culture.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kartu bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal sasak terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas IISDN 15 Cakranegara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design berbentuk Nonequevalent Kontrol Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas II SDN 15 Cakranegara yang berjumlah 67 siswa, terdiri atas kelas II A sebanyak 34 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dam kelas II B sebanyak 33 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi dan tes. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji prasyarat yang meliputi uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan Independet Sample T-test serta perhitungan Effect Size. Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,002 < 0,05 dan nilai T hitung > T tabel yaitu 3,300 > 1,997, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media kartu bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal sasak terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas II SDN 15 Cakranegara. Hasil uji effect size, diperoleh nilai d sebesar 0,806 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal sasak memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa dengan indikator mengetahui jenis huruf, mengenal kata serta membaca kata dan kalimat.

The main problem of this research is that the learning process is still dominated by the use of conventional methods that are centered on the teacher (teacher-centered). Teachers more often use lecture methods and giving assignments, so that interaction in learning is less than optimal. This condition causes student engagement in learning to remain low. Only a small number of students are active in answering questions or providing responses, while most students tend to be passive and less participating during the learning process. This study aims to determine the Effect of Using Educational Game Learning Media on Improving Fourth Grade Student Learning Outcomes in Indonesian Language Subjects at UPT SD Negeri 107 Inpres Kunjung, Takalar Regency. The type of research used in this study is Quantitative, namely a type of research that only involves one experimental class without a comparison group. The design of this study is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The pretest is given before treatment and the posttest is given after treatment. The sample in this study is fourth grade students consisting of 12 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques are carried out using tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test). The descriptive statistics showed that the average score for listening skills before using the Educational Game media was 55.41, while the average score for listening skills after using the Educational Game media was 92.91. This indicates a difference in students' listening skills before and after using the Educational Game media in learning. The t-test analysis results showed that the calculated t value was 2.069, and the t table = 8.378. Therefore, the calculated t = 2.069> t table = 8.378, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Educational Game media is effective in improving the listening skills of fourth-grade students at the UPT SD Negeri 107 Inpres Kunjung, Takalar Regency.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a collaborative supervision approach in improving teachers’ professional competence at SDN Telaga Biru 1. The background of this study is based on the importance of enhancing the quality of learning through continuous and participatory professional development of teachers. The research employs a qualitative approach to explore the process, implementation, and impact of collaborative supervision in the school context. The research subjects include the principal and teachers involved in supervision activities. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of collaborative supervision effectively improves teachers’ professional competence, particularly in lesson planning, instructional implementation, and student learning evaluation. The supervision process is carried out through joint discussions, reflective practices, and constructive feedback between supervisors and teachers. Furthermore, it fosters a more open and supportive working environment, encouraging teachers to actively develop their professional skills. Supporting factors for the success of this approach include effective communication, shared commitment, and participatory leadership from the principal. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited time and teachers’ workload. Overall, the collaborative supervision approach proves to be effective in enhancing teachers’ professional competence and can serve as an alternative strategy for teacher development in primary schools.

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of Pancasila education for fourth-grade students, because teachers do not use varied learning media. The purpose of this study is to determine the Effect of Flash Card Media in Learning Pancasila Education "Rights and Obligations at Home and at School" on the Learning Outcomes of Fourth-grade Students of UPTD SD Negeri Pailelang. This study uses a pre-experimental method of quantitative research with a one-group approach (pretest posttest) with a sample size of 21 students. The sampling technique is saturated sampling. In this study, the data collection technique was through tests with a one-group pretest posttest research design. Furthermore, a prerequisite test for normality was carried out at 0.083. After that, a test was carried out with a hypothesis test using the Paired Sample t-test after which the data was analyzed using SPSS 22 and obtained the results of t-test 11,206 and t-table 1,725, meaning t-table > t-table, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. From these results, it can be concluded that using flash cards in Pancasila Education learning on "Rights and Obligations at Home and at School" at the Pailelang Elementary School Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) can improve student learning outcomes.

This study aims to analyze the contribution of the National Defense Program in strengthening student leadership to foster a sense of patriotism at SMPN 12 Bandung. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Participants included the vic1e principal, Civic Education teachers, military advisors, and seventh-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that the program contributes to fostering patriotism through structured character development. Student leadership is primarily shaped through collective emotional experiences. However, critical dynamics were identified, including pseudo-compliance and a gap between actions and awareness (the civic knowledge–action paradox), where student discipline remains dependent on external control. This study confirms that the internalization of civic values is not linear but is influenced by social relations, context, and individual reflection.
