Abstract

  The rapid flow of modernity, marked by technological disruption, shifting moral values, and secularism in education, poses a crucial challenge to the existence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia. The PAI curriculum is often considered too cognitive-textually oriented and insufficiently adaptive to dynamic social realities. This research aims to reconstruct the main components of the PAI curriculum and evaluate relevant development models to address the challenges of the times. This research uses a qualitative approach using library research. Data are analyzed descriptively and analytically using hermeneutical techniques to examine classical and contemporary curriculum concepts. The reconstruction focuses on four main components: (1) Objectives, which must transform from merely theological understanding to the formation of prophetic awareness and life skills; (2) Materials, which interconnectively integrate science and religion; (3) Methods, which adopt a digital-based, student-centered learning approach; and (4) Evaluation, which emphasizes authentic and moral aspects holistically. The study's findings indicate that the centralized (top-down) Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum development model needs to shift toward a more participatory and grassroots-based model to simultaneously accommodate local and global needs. This reconstruction has resulted in a proposed "Humanist-Theocentric" Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum model, in which transcendental values ​​remain the primary foundation, yet are articulated rationally and functionally to address modern challenges such as identity crises, radicalism, and moral degradation. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of developing a flexible curriculum that adheres firmly to the fundamental values ​​of religion, enabling PAI to serve as a moral compass amidst the complexities of modern civilization.

Abstract

Forests play an important role in climate change mitigation by absorbing and storing CO₂. In addition to living vegetation, litter and necromass also contribute to carbon storage, but are often underestimated. This study aims to analyze biomass, carbon stock, CO₂ sequestration, and the economic valuation of carbon in litter and necromass in Baumata Nature Tourism Park (TWA Baumata), covering an area of 36.21 ha. Data were collected from 45 sample plots using a sampling method. Biomass was calculated using allometric equations, SNI 7724:2011 for deadwood, and the method of Elvina et al. (2018) for litter. Carbon content was assumed to be 47%, while CO₂ sequestration was calculated using a conversion factor of 3.67. The results showed that biomass was 43.20 ton/ha, carbon stock was 20.39 ton/ha, and CO₂ sequestration was 74.83 ton/ha. The economic value of carbon reached IDR 159,327,420 or equivalent to USD 10,323.8, indicating the significant potential of non-living components in climate change mitigation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of a web-based (HTML) fiqh learning media to visualize the procedures of funeral prayer for senior high school students (SMA/MA). The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model through five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The trial subjects included material experts (2 persons), media experts (2 persons), learning practitioners (1 teacher), as well as students in one-to-one trials (3 students), small group trials (9 students), and field trials (30 students). Data collection instruments included validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests. The results showed that the developed media was highly feasible, with feasibility percentages of 90–95% from material experts, 83–96% from media experts, and 95–97% from learning practitioners. The effectiveness test showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes with an N-Gain score of 0.59 (moderate category) and a t-test value (13.356 > 2.032; p < 0.001). Student responses to the media ranged from 82.3% to 87% in the very good category. In conclusion, this web-based learning media is effective and feasible to enhance students' understanding of the funeral prayer procedures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causes of students' difficulties in solving mathematical story problems based on the perspectives of teachers and fourth-grade students of SDN Slatri 01. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade teachers and 39 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' difficulties occurred at the stages of understanding the problem, planning solutions, implementing plans, and re-checking answers. The causative factors came from internal factors such as low reading literacy skills, learning interests, motivation, and student learning habits. External factors included less varied learning methods, limited use of learning media, and a lack of contextual practice problems. Teachers' and students' perspectives showed a similarity that understanding the language of the problem was the main obstacle in solving mathematical story problems. This study provides recommendations for the need for more contextual learning, the use of concrete media, and the habituation of problem-solving strategies according to Polya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi fokus pada pelanggan dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SD Negeri 009 Samarinda Ilir. Konsep fokus pada pelanggan dalam manajemen mutu pendidikan menempatkan peserta didik, orang tua, dan masyarakat sebagai pelanggan utama yang harus mendapatkan layanan pendidikan secara optimal. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua, serta studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fokus pada pelanggan diimplementasikan melalui peningkatan kualitas layanan pembelajaran, komunikasi aktif antara sekolah dan orang tua, penyediaan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, serta penguatan budaya sekolah yang ramah dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Sekolah juga menerapkan evaluasi berkelanjutan terhadap kepuasan orang tua dan hasil belajar siswa sebagai dasar perbaikan mutu. Faktor pendukung meliputi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang partisipatif, komitmen guru, serta dukungan komite sekolah. Sementara itu, kendala yang dihadapi berupa keterbatasan anggaran dan perbedaan ekspektasi orang tua terhadap layanan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan prinsip fokus pada pelanggan secara konsisten mampu meningkatkan mutu layanan pendidikan, kepuasan orang tua, serta prestasi peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan manajemen berbasis mutu dan kolaborasi yang berkelanjutan antara sekolah dan seluruh pemangku kepentingan guna mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkualitas dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

By analyzing the implementation of the Makkah-based Arabic Camp, this study seeks to determine the program's effectiveness in enhancing the Arabic proficiency of 11th-grade pupils at Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta. Adopting a descriptive qualitative methodology, this research gathered evidence through field observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentary analysis. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in the four basic language skills. In addition, the immersive-based program was able to increase students’ intrinsic learning motivation and their confidence in communication, enabling them to face various language challenges and cultural differences more effectively. This success was supported by an authentic sociocultural environment, guidance from competent teachers, and comprehensive institutional support. Conversely, the primary constraints identified include exposure to localized dialectal variations, challenging climatic conditions, and the rigorous temporal demands of the program itinerary. In conclusion, the Arabic Camp effectively enhanced not only language skills but also students’ spiritual and global insight.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the phonics method in overcoming reading difficulties among third-grade students at UPT SDN 20 Turatea, Jeneponto Regency. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were the teacher and third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the phonics method was carried out systematically through several stages, including introducing letter sounds, blending sounds into syllables, and segmenting words into individual sounds, supported by the use of letter cards and picture cards. The application of this method had a positive impact on students’ reading abilities, as indicated by improvements in recognizing letter sounds, reading syllables, and reading simple words. In addition, students’ motivation and confidence in reading also increased. However, some difficulties were still found, such as students’ inability to distinguish similar letters (b–d and p–q), reading that was still hesitant, and limitations in reading simple sentences and reading comprehension. Therefore, more varied learning strategies and continuous guidance are needed to further improve students’ reading abilities.

Abstract

The role of digital marketing in the Umrah travel industry is growing steadily alongside the expansion of the middle class, rising religious devotion among the public, and technological advancements. This study aims to analyze digital marketing strategies for enhancing the satisfaction of Umrah pilgrims at Almaida Tour & Travel in Sukabumi. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that Almaida Tour & Travel’s digital marketing strategies are implemented through the integration of various digital channels, namely a website, social media (Instagram and TikTok), video marketing, and WhatsApp Group-based communication. The website serves as an information hub and conversion point, offering convenience and transparency in services; social media functions as a platform to build interaction and trust through visual content and testimonials; while video marketing plays a role in reinforcing the emotional and spiritual aspects of the pilgrims. Meanwhile, WhatsApp Groups function as a direct communication medium that enhances responsiveness and service intimacy. Additionally, the application of the Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) strategy demonstrates alignment between market characteristics, target consumers, and the brand image built by the company.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the practicality and effectiveness of a Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) within a coastal context on the topic of relations and functions to improve the mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bengkulu. The study employs the Plomp development model, which consists of three stages: preliminary investigation, prototyping, and assessment. Practicality was measured through a small group test involving six students using the USE Questionnaire. Practicality results showed average scores of 4.25 for usefulness (very practical), 4.08 for ease of use (practical), 4.29 for ease of learning (very practical), and 4.17 for satisfaction (practical). Effectiveness was measured through classical completeness, N-gain score, and the Wilcoxon test. Effectiveness results revealed classical completeness of 80%, exceeding the minimum criterion of 60%, an N-gain score of 0.77 (high category), and a Wilcoxon significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings demonstrate that the coastal-context PBL-based LKPD significantly improves students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Germline pathogenic variants in BRCA1 and BRCA2 are key determinants of Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) and substantially increase breast cancer risk. At the molecular level, BRCA1/2 dysfunction impairs homologous recombination repair (HRR) of double-strand breaks (DSBs), promoting genomic instability and carcinogenesis. This systematic review synthesizes evidence on how BRCA1/2 variants inform early detection and clinical risk prediction/stratification in breast cancer. A PRISMA 2020-guided Systematic Literature Review was conducted using Scopus (2022–2026; MEDI/BIOC; English; Open Access; article type). Of 232 records identified, 21 articles met inclusion criteria and were synthesized narratively across five themes: molecular mechanisms, risk/penetrance, early detection, risk prediction/stratification, and clinical implications/targeted therapy. The evidence indicates that HRR deficiency shifts DNA repair toward more error-prone pathways, while carrier risk remains heterogeneous due to additional genetic modifiers and polygenic risk scores (PRS), resulting in meaningful variation in absolute risk. Early detection in BRCA carriers emphasizes genetic testing for carrier identification and intensified surveillance, with breast MRI as a key modality in high-risk settings. Contemporary risk models increasingly integrate BRCA status, PRS, and clinical factors, although population-specific calibration remains critical to avoid biased risk estimates. Clinically, DNA repair deficiency supports the use of PARP inhibitors (PARPi) via synthetic lethality, with resistance dynamics warranting consideration. Overall, BRCA-informed strategies provide an essential foundation for genetics-based prevention, screening, risk prediction, and targeted therapy in breast cancer.
