Abstract

This study is motivated by the high number of high school students experiencing career indecision. The purpose is to describe students' career indecision levels before and after receiving group guidance services with the problem solving method, and to examine the effect of these services among class XI.A students at SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu City. A quantitative method with one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. Seven students were selected through purposive sampling based on high and very high career indecision criteria. The instrument was the Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) with 30 Likert-scale items. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test with SPSS. Results showed the mean career indecision score decreased from 113.14 (pre-test) to 72.00 (post-test), with t-value of 14.697 and significance of 0.000 (p < 0.05). It is concluded that group guidance services with the problem solving method significantly reduce career indecision in high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of vision, mission, and goals in building the character of early childhood at Tunas Bangsa Kindergarten. The study used a qualitative approach with a field study type. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, and students who were selected purposively. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used an interactive model through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, and its validity was tested by triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the vision, mission, and goals have a strategic role as the main foundation in shaping the character of early childhood. The vision serves as the direction and identity of the institution, the mission as a form of implementation through learning activities and habits, and goals as indicators of success in assessing children's character development. Implementation is carried out in an integrated manner through habituation activities such as prayer, congregational Dhuha prayer, maintaining cleanliness, and learning that instills the values ​​of discipline, responsibility, independence, and empathy. Thus, this study confirms that the success of character education in early childhood is largely determined by the alignment between the vision, mission, and goals with holistic, sustainable, and contextual learning practices. Abstract

Character education plays a vital role in shaping students’ personalities in Islamic elementary schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). This study aims to analyze the implementation of social morals in fostering discipline among students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings indicate that consistent application of social morals through daily routines, learning activities, and responsibility cultivation enhances students’ discipline and awareness of school norms and rules. These results highlight that strengthening students’ disciplined character is most effective when social morals are developed continuously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning method based on the Augmented Reality (AR) application on the science concept understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students. In addition, this study also aims to examine the extent to which the method can improve students' conceptual understanding in science learning, which was previously low and tended to rely on memorization. This research employs a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Ngerukeman. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests (pretest and posttest), while data analysis used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing (Independent Sample T-Test). The results of the study indicate that the Discovery Learning method based on the Augmented Reality (AR) application has a significant effect on improving students' understanding of science concepts. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.011 < 0.05 and a higher increase in the average score in the experimental class compared to the control class. Therefore, this method is proven to be effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and in creating more interactive and meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Anagram Wordwalls Learning Media on the Quranic Skills of sixth-Grade Students at SD Negeri 9 Telaga Biru. The research method used in this study was a quantitative quasi-eksperimental design with a nonequivalent Control Grup Design. The number of subject was 33 sixth-grade studen at SD Negeri 9 Telaga Biru. Data collection techniques included observation, Pretest, posttest, and documentation. The result of the non-parametric tes showed a significant difference between the result of the improvement in Quranic reading skills of the expeimental and control classes. Therefore, the aplication of an Anagram Wordwalls learning media can influence the Quranic reading skills of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 9 Telaga Biru. It is recommended that scool provide facilities and training for educators, particularly regarding the ability to use digital learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low writing skills of review texts of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, especially in structuring texts, using linguistic rules, and applying Enhanced Spelling. One effort to overcome this problem is by implementing a Project Based Learning model assisted by audiovisual media based on local wisdom. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model assisted by audiovisual media based on local wisdom on the writing skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method and a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research population is all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, while the research sample consists of two classes, namely the experimental class consisting of 30 students and the control class consisting of 29 students. Data collection techniques are carried out through performance tests in the form of writing review texts. Data are analyzed through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests using t-tests. The results of the study showed that the average value of students' review text writing skills in the experimental class was 85.55, while in the control class it was 79.02. The results of the t-test showed that t count was greater than t table (2.83 > 2.002) at a significance level of 95% with degrees of freedom of 57. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model assisted by local wisdom-based audiovisual media has a significant effect on the review text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai.

Abstract

The Influence of Parents' Roles in Supporting Children's Education in Grade V of SD Negeri Labuang Baji II, Mamajang District, Makassar City. Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Supervisor 1: Syarifah Aeni Rahman, Supervisor II: Ashar.This study aims to determine the influence of parents' roles on supporting children's education in grade V of SD Negeri Labuang Baji II, Mamajang District, Makassar City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method and a causal associative research design. The sample consisted of 24 students, including 9 male students and 15 female students along with their parents. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques included descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, namely validity, reliability, normality, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the role of parents was in the high category at 84.7%, while children's educational support was in the moderate category at 77.1%. The hypothesis test results indicated that there was a significant influence between parents' roles in supporting children's education with a significance value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05, so H, was accepted and Ho was rejected. The magnitude of the influence of parents' roles on children's education was 21.3%.

Abstract

The decline in the use of Bahasa Jawa Krama Inggil among elementary school students has become an important issue in preserving local wisdom amid the increasingly pervasive digital era. This condition indicates a shift in language practices that may reduce the values of politeness and Javanese cultural identity among the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the use of Bahasa Jawa Krama Inggil, identify the factors contributing to its decline, and examine preservation efforts in elementary schools in Blitar Regency. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation conducted in five public elementary schools in Blitar Regency. The research participants consisted of five principals, ten Javanese language teachers, and thirty students selected purposively. Data were analyzed through systematic stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that most students predominantly use the ngoko variety in daily communication, including when interacting with teachers, such as using the term “sampean” instead of “panjenengan.” This decline is influenced by three main factors: family environments that do not habituate the use of krama, school learning processes that remain largely theoretical, and the influence of digital media dominated by Indonesian and foreign languages. Preservation efforts include habituation of language use in schools, integration of local wisdom values into learning, and collaboration among families, schools, government, and communities. These findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive and adaptive approach, including the wise use of technology as a medium for cultural preservation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of social development in early childhood, particularly in play involvement and the ability to build relationships with teachers and peers. The issue raised is that there are still children who are less active in play activities and have not yet optimally developed social interactions in the school environment. The purpose of this study is to identify efforts that can be made to increase children's involvement in play and their ability to build social relationships. The research methodology used is a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The research subjects are early childhood children in group B (5–6 years old). Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by organizing the data, grouping it, and drawing conclusions from the findings obtained. Research results show that the implementation of structured play activities, appropriate stimulation, and the active role of teachers in guiding and facilitating social interactions can increase children's engagement in play. In addition, children also show improvements in their ability to interact, cooperate, and build positive relationships with teachers and peers. Thus, proper learning strategies can optimally support children's social development.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of instilling Islamic values in shaping students' religious character, especially through mahdhah worship in the madrasah environment. In practice, worship activities such as congregational prayers and Quran recitation have indeed been carried out, but there are still students who perform them merely as an obligation without understanding the meaning contained within. This indicates that the process of internalizing Islamic values has not yet been fully optimized. Therefore, this research aims to understand how the process of internalizing Islamic values, the supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as the strategies used to strengthen this internalization at MTs Nururrodiyah Kota Jambi. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers, the head of the madrasah, and students as research subjects. The data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and their validity was tested thru triangulation. The research results show that the internalization of Islamic values is carried out thru the habituation of worship, the exemplary behavior of teachers, and the support of a religious madrasah environment. The supporting factors include the role of teachers, adequate facilities, and school culture, while the obstacles include the lack of student awareness, external environmental influences, and limited supervision outside of school. Thus, cooperation between the school and parents, as well as consistent habituation, is necessary so that Islamic values can be well instilled in the students.
