Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of the fiqh curriculum through a practice and habituation approach in improving students’ understanding of worship in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with fiqh teachers and the vice principal in charge of curriculum affairs. The findings reveal that the development of the fiqh curriculum is carried out through the integration of theoretical learning and continuous worship practices. The practice and habituation approach has proven effective in enhancing students’ understanding of worship across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, as well as contributing to the development of students’ religious character. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including students’ incomplete understanding and the need for consistency in habituation practices. Therefore, the practice and habituation approach can be considered a relevant strategy in developing the fiqh curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the low writing skills of fifth grade students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Pa’baeng-baeng, Makassar City. This study aims to improve students' writing skills through the application of the Paired Story Telling Cooperative Learning Model for Class V students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Pa'baeng-Baeng, Makassar City. This research method uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 17 teachers and students. Data collection techniques used were observation sheets, tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed that First, the teacher's teaching activities in cycle I, meeting I, were still in the low category and meeting II was in the medium category. Cycle II, meeting I was in the high category, and meeting II was in the very high category. Second, students' learning activities in cycle I, meetings I and II were in the low category. While in cycle II, meeting I was in the medium category, and meeting II was in the very high category. While in cycle II all students had obtained a completeness score according to the KKTP achieved. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the paired story telling cooperative learning model can improve the narrative writing skills of grade V students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Pa'Baeng-Baeng Makassar City. Suggestions for further researchers can be used as references and to conduct research development according to the problems obtained.

Abstract

Hair curling is a hair styling technique that aims to transform hair into curly or wavy curls. The technique used in the curling process influences the final result, including shape, volume, and neatness. One technique used in curling designs is the brick pattern, which involves alternating curling irons. This study aims to analyze the brick pattern hair curling technique and its effect on curling results. The method used in this study was a qualitative method with a literature study approach, reviewing various sources, including books and scientific journals relevant to the research topic. The results indicate that the brick pattern technique produces more natural, less stiff curls, and has a more even volume distribution. This technique can also reduce the parting lines that typically appear with parallel styling techniques. However, applying this technique requires precision and skill to ensure neat and balanced results. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the brick pattern curling technique has the advantage of producing more natural and balanced curl designs. Therefore, this technique can be an option for curling hair, especially for a more natural look.

Abstract

Spatial ability is a critical cognitive skill in elementary school students’ geometry learning because it helps them visualize, manipulate, and reason about the relationships between spatial objects. However, geometry education still faces challenges in optimally developing this ability. This study aims to examine the role of spatial ability through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of national articles from the past five years accessed via Google Scholar. Literature selection was based on topic relevance, the elementary school level, and a focus on spatial ability and geometry. This study highlights the forms of spatial ability, its role in conceptual understanding, and its implications for more visual and contextual learning, thereby serving as a foundation for the development of geometry learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based geography learning media using ArcGIS Story Maps on disaster mitigation and adaptation material for Grade XI high school students. The research used Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research conducted at SMA Negeri 14 Samarinda. Data collection instruments included interview sheets, observation sheets, validation questionnaires from media experts, as well as student response questionnaires. The result showed that: (1) The development stages of ArcGIS Story Maps learning media were carried out through five ADDIE stages. In the analysis stage, it was found that 61.8% of students stated the media used was not varied, 97.1% of students needed more attractive and innovative media, and 91.2% of students had never used ArcGIS Story Maps. (2) The feasibility test result showed that media expert validation obtained 96% (Very Feasible), material expert validation obtained 83% (Very Feasible), linguist expert validation obtained 88% (Very Feasible), and learning expert validation obtained 99% (Very Feasible), with an average score of 91.5% (Very Feasible). In addition, the student response questionnaire showed an average percentage 0f 91.5% (Very Feasible). ArcGIS Story Maps can serve as an innovative teaching tool in geography lessons.

Abstract

Sekumur Village, located in Sekerak District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, is an area with a high vulnerability to flooding and environmental sanitation issues. Low levels of disaster mitigation literacy, along with suboptimal household sanitation practices, increase health and safety risks for the community, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly. This Community Service Program aims to strengthen disaster mitigation literacy and community sanitation resilience through a multi-grade, cross-generational approach that involves children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly within a unified community learning ecosystem. The methods employed include participatory education, cross-generational discussions, healthy sanitation practices, and family-based disaster simulation activities. The program is implemented through preparation, execution, and evaluation stages, involving village authorities and community cadres as key partners. The main outcomes of this program are increased community knowledge and awareness regarding disaster mitigation and healthy sanitation, the development of clean and safe living behaviors, and the establishment of an applicable and sustainable cross-generational community education model. This program is expected to serve as a foundation for strengthening Sekumur Village as a disaster-resilient and healthy village that can be replicated in other regions.

Abstract

Natural lighting is an important aspect in building design that affects visual comfort and energy efficiency. In two-story residential houses located in urban areas, the distribution of natural lighting is often uneven due to factors such as building orientation, the position of openings, and the presence of obstructing elements. This study aims to analyze the intensity of natural lighting in a two-story residential house in Depok City and to evaluate its compliance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 03-6197-2000.The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach through direct measurement using a lux meter. Measurements were conducted at three different times, namely at 08:00, 12:00, and 15:00 WIB in various rooms on the first and second floors. The collected data were analyzed comparatively by comparing the measurement results with the SNI standard.The results show that the overall level of natural lighting in the building does not meet the standard. On the first floor, only about 16.7%–33.3% of the rooms meet the standard, with an average illumination intensity ranging from 68 to 127.5 lux. Meanwhile, on the second floor, the lighting performance is better, with up to 80% of the rooms meeting the standard during midday, and an average intensity reaching 174 lux. The second floor has approximately 36% higher lighting levels compared to the first floor.The conclusion of this study indicates that natural lighting in the building is not yet optimal, particularly on the first floor. Therefore, improvements in the placement and dimensions of openings, as well as light distribution, are necessary to achieve more even and standard-compliant natural lighting.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of Islamic values through the eco-pesantren program in environmental conservation at Jauharul Maknun Islamic Boarding School, Lasem Dukun Gresik. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the eco-pesantren program is implemented through waste management, environmental greening, routine cleanliness activities, and waste utilization. The internalization process of Islamic values is carried out through role modeling, habituation, teaching, direct practice, and reinforcement through rules and pesantren culture. This program has a positive impact on students' behavior, including increased religious awareness, the formation of clean and healthy living habits, and greater environmental concern. Therefore, the eco-pesantren program is proven to be effective as a medium for internalizing Islamic values in environmental conservation and in shaping students’ ecological character.

Abstract

Social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Marioriwawo is still textbook-centered, thus not providing a contextual and meaningful learning experience. The Maddoja Bine tradition has the potential to be a social studies learning resource that enriches the material while instilling social values, character, and cultural identity in students. This study aims to describe the Maddoja Bine tradition in Soppeng Regency, identify the social values ​​contained therein, and analyze teachers' efforts in integrating these social values ​​as a social studies learning resource for grade VII at SMP Negeri 1 Marioriwawo. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive exploratory research type. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Maddoja Bine tradition in Soppeng Regency is an agricultural practice of the Bugis community that is carried out by staying awake all night as a form of respect for Sangiang Serri (the goddess of rice). This tradition contains the values ​​of mutual cooperation (sibali reso), mutual respect (sipakatau), and unity (masseddi). The teacher's efforts to integrate it as a learning resource for class VII IPS at SMP Negeri 1 Marioriwawo were carried out through the development of teaching materials, the use of contextual approaches, and role models.

Abstract

This study aims to synthesize empirical findings regarding the development and use of flashcards in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The analysis was conducted on five SINTA-accredited articles published between 2023 and 2025, selected based on inclusion criteria related to research design, focus, accessibility, and contextual relevance. The synthesis results indicate that flashcards, both printed and digital, effectively improve students' early reading skills, vocabulary mastery, and interest in learning. The development process using the ADDIE model resulted in a valid, practical, and easily incorporated media into learning activities. The engaging visual design and interactive features of digital flashcards have been shown to increase student motivation and engagement. However, limited sample size, lack of standardized motivational instruments, and variations in research methods limit the generalizability of the findings. Overall, flashcards have strong potential to strengthen basic literacy and improve the quality of Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.
