Abstract

This study aims to analyze the kinematics of the overhead serve movement in sepak takraw. The focus of the study includes joint angles, movement speed, and body coordination during the serve. The method used is descriptive quantitative with observation techniques using video recordings analyzed frame by frame. The research subjects consisted of university-level sepak takraw athletes. The results show that the success of the overhead serve is influenced by the coordination between the initial movement, leg swing, and contact with the ball. Optimal angles at the hip, knee, and ankle joints contribute significantly to the speed and accuracy of the serve. Thus, understanding the kinematics aspects can improve the effectiveness of training and athlete performance.

Abstract

The disparity between students' high levels of environmental knowledge and their uneven application of eco-friendly behavior at SMAN 8 Banjarmasin, an Adiwiyata school close to a river, is the driving force for this study. This study aims to quantify the association between eco-friendly behavior (variable Y) and environmental awareness (variable X). Using a sample of 278 students selected using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique, this study employs a quantitative correlational approach. Likert scales were used to gather the data, and Pearson correlation and descriptive statistics were used for analysis. The study's findings show that: (1) students' environmental awareness is rated as Very Good (97.5% in the Good & Very Good category); and (2) students' eco-friendly behavior is rated as Good, although there is a knowing-doing gap where 20.1% of students' behavior is subpar. (3) The two variables have a strong, positive, and significant association (r = 0.661; p < 0.001). According to the coefficient of determination (R2), 43.7% of ecologically beneficial behavior is influenced by environmental knowledge. In summary, awareness is a key predictor, but other factors also have a big impact on how students behave. As a result, habit-formation-focused therapies are required.

Abstract

This study aims to foster a habit of saving from an early age among second-grade students at SDN 170/VI in Rasau Village through a creative piggy bank-making project. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, implemented over several cycles, including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The study sample consisted of 20 students. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of and habits regarding saving. Before the intervention, only 40% of students understood the importance of saving, and 30% had a habit of saving. After the intervention, these figures increased to 90% and 85%, respectively. Additionally, piggy bank ownership increased to 100%, and the habit of setting aside allowance money reached 80%. This activity also enhanced students’ creativity, learning motivation, as well as their discipline and sense of responsibility. Thus, the creative piggy bank-making project proved effective as an innovative learning method for instilling financial literacy from an early age while simultaneously developing the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of elementary school students.

Abstract

Teaching Practicum (Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan/PPL) is one of the programs designed to equip prospective teachers with real experiences in the school environment. Through the implementation of PPL, students are not only involved in the teaching and learning process but also participate in shaping students’ character, particularly discipline and politeness. This article aims to reflect on the implementation of PPL in fostering students’ discipline and politeness at SMA Negeri 17 Merangin. The method used in this article is descriptive reflection based on direct experiences during the PPL program. The results of the reflection indicate that the involvement of PPL students in classroom activities, exemplary attitudes, and direct interactions with students contribute positively to the improvement of students’ discipline and politeness. Therefore, the implementation of PPL functions not only as a means of teaching practice but also as an effective medium for character building in the school environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how instructors and students at SDN 017 Bukit Payung plan, understand, and apply the collaborative inquiry learning approach in scientific instruction. The study included a case study and a qualitative methodology. Fifth-grade instructors and students who were actively engaged in scientific education made up the research subjects. Techniques for gathering data included recordkeeping, interviews, and observation. The phases of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing were used to examine the data. Source triangulation and procedure triangulation were used to attain data validity. Because the majority of learning phases were carried out as best they could, the findings demonstrated that the mapping of the collaborative inquiry model's execution fell into the "excellent" category. Instructors were able to set issues, organize groups, direct conversations, assist in gathering data, and assist students in coming to conclusions. Along with actively participating in conversations, students also made observations, worked together, and presented the outcomes of their talks. The mapping of observation findings revealed a number of unsatisfactory elements, including the fact that students continued to struggle with data analysis to support hypotheses and that professors did not fully guide the research stages. Because it may boost student engagement, collaboration, critical thinking abilities, self-assurance, and learning results, the collaborative inquiry approach has a beneficial effect on scientific education.

This research is motivated by the suboptimal character of patriotism among students at SMP Negeri 12 Banjarmasin, which is evident in the lack of discipline, concern for the environment, and the influence of external culture and social media. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in developing students' patriotism and identify the obstacles faced at SMP Negeri 12 Banjarmasin. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that teachers at SMP Negeri 12 Banjarmasin play an important role in developing the character of patriotism as role models, facilitators, and motivators. As role models, teachers demonstrate attitudes and behaviors of discipline, politeness, compliance with rules, and involvement in school activities such as flag ceremonies and national holiday commemorations. As facilitators, teachers create active learning through media, discussions, concrete examples, and direct practice. As motivators, teachers provide encouragement through advice, discussions, real examples, direct involvement, and guidance to foster student awareness. However, there are obstacles, including family background, low student awareness, social media and foreign culture, and a lack of student interest. It is recommended that teachers increase their role as role models, facilitators, and motivators in developing students' patriotism.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profile of junior high school students’ scientific argumentation skills based on Toulmin’s Argument Pattern (TAP) and the level of argumentation achieved. The study employs a quantitative, descriptive approach. The research subjects were 32 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 63 Surabaya, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of a contextual phenomenon-based essay test designed based on TAP indicators. The results showed that students’ scientific argumentation skills were still very low, characterized by a dominance of Level 1 at 75%, while only 19% of students reached Level 2 and 6% reached Level 3. Based on the indicators, students were able to present a Claim (81.25%), Ground (71.88%), Warrant (40.63%), and Backing (9.38%). These findings indicate that students’ scientific argumentation skills have not yet developed fully, particularly in the aspects of reasoning and argument reinforcement. This study implies the need for adjustments to learning methods that are more targeted and sustainable to improve students’ scientific argumentation skills.

Abstract

The school library is a vital infrastructure that serves as a literacy center and learning resource for students and teachers. However, the library at SMAN 2 Kolaka is currently poorly maintained, dusty, and its book collection is poorly organized, resulting in few student visits. This activity aims to improve the library to create a comfortable environment for the school community and increase student interest in reading. The activity was carried out periodically from January 23 to 31, 2026, through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation phase included a thorough cleaning of the library area to prevent damage to the collection from termites, dismantling and sorting books based on the curriculum (KTSP, K13, and Merdeka Curriculum), and rearranging books on shelves by subject for easy access. The results of this activity showed significant changes in the physical condition of the library, which has become cleaner and more organized. Through the contributions of these 2026 PLP USN Kolaka students, it is hoped that the SMAN 2 Kolaka library can once again function optimally as an educational support facility and school literacy center.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era marks a shift toward a human-centered educational ecosystem supported by artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital connectivity. This study aims to identify and analyze teachers’ strategies in improving the learning of students with special needs in alignment with Society 5.0 principles. This study employs a literature review approach by analyzing scholarly sources published between 2015 and 2025. Data were obtained from journal articles, books, and policy documents retrieved from academic databases. The data were analyzed using a thematic approach to identify effective instructional strategies. The findings reveal four key strategies: (1) data-driven differentiated instruction, (2) the use of accessible assistive technology, (3) structured multidisciplinary collaboration, and (4) strengthening teachers’ pedagogical capacity through communities of practice. The effectiveness of these strategies is influenced by teachers’ digital literacy, infrastructure availability, and institutional policy support. This study recommends strengthening training based on Universal Design for Learning, simplifying instructional administration, and fostering partnerships with educational technology providers. This study contributes to the development of a conceptual framework for inclusive learning in the Society 5.0 era
