Abstract

This study is an experimental research aimed at determining the effect of the use of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model and flashcard media on the Civics (PPKn) learning outcomes of fourth grade students at MIS Al Bashirah. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with an experimental research type. This study applies a quasi-experimental research design in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The research data were obtained through observation sheets and tests. The population in this study consisted of all students of MIS Al Bashirah totaling 54 students. The sample in this study was the fourth grade students of MIS Al Bashirah, totaling 54 students, divided into two classes: class IVC with 26 students and class IVD with 28 students. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model in fourth grade students at MIS Al Bashirah, Makassar City is categorized as very good. (2) The use of flashcard media among fourth grade students at MIS Al Bashirah, Makassar City is categorized as very good. (3) The Civics (PPKn) learning outcomes of fourth grade students at MIS Al Bashirah are higher in the experimental class compared to the control class, while the control class learning outcomes are still in the sufficient category and not yet optimal. (4) There is a significant effect of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model and flashcard media on the Civics (PPKn) learning outcomes of fourth grade students at MIS Al Bashirah, Makassar City.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools still faces challenges in delivering abstract concepts, which affects students’ understanding and engagement. This study aims to analyze the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in science learning through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The method follows the PRISMA framework, including identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages. Data were collected from various scientific databases, resulting in 120 articles, which were reduced to 30 articles after screening, and 15 articles were selected for analysis. The results indicate that AR has a positive impact on improving conceptual understanding, learning outcomes, student motivation, and engagement. In addition, AR contributes to the development of higher-order thinking skills, scientific literacy, and science process skills. Therefore, AR can be considered an innovative and effective learning medium to enhance the quality of science learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between theology and Christian Religious Education (CRE) by highlighting the role of CRE in gender education and its implementation at HKBP Pabrik Tenun Medan. CRE not only serves as an instrument for teaching the Christian faith but also as a medium for social transformation, particularly in shaping a more just gender awareness within the church and society. In the context of Christian theology, understandings of gender are often influenced by biblical interpretation, church doctrine, and local culture. Therefore, this study explores how CRE in this church responds to gender issues, particularly in promoting equal roles between men and women in ministry and the congregation’s participation in church leadership. The church has a responsibility to teach the values of equality, justice, and respect for gender differences in accordance with biblical principles. However, in practice, challenges remain, particularly in the form of patriarchal interpretations that may limit women's roles in ecclesiastical ministry. This study also highlights how the church can develop a more inclusive CRE theology by incorporating gender perspectives based on liberation theology and justice. This research employs a qualitative and descriptive method, utilizing in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis to obtain comprehensive data. The findings indicate that, despite efforts by CRE to teach gender equality, challenges persist in its implementation due to cultural and traditional factors, particularly the strong influence of the highly patriarchal Batak Toba culture. Therefore, this study is expected to serve as a reference for churches in designing CRE programs that are more responsive to gender issues, encouraging active female participation in church life and ministry.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate Adiwiyata-based facilities and infrastructure management at SMAN 1 Dewantara from a behaviorism theory perspective. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this study analyzes data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that Adiwiyata-based facilities and infrastructure management at SMAN 1 Dewantara plays a significant role in fostering students' environmental care character through five integrated management aspects: planning, procurement, inventory, maintenance, and disposal. Participatory planning cultivates responsibility and ecological awareness, while student involvement in procurement strengthens a sense of ownership and creativity. Simple inventory processes encourage discipline and accountability, systematic maintenance trains students in discipline and cooperation, and the disposal of unusable facilities instills efficiency and accountability. From Skinner's behaviorism theory perspective, school facilities and activities act as stimuli that consistently trigger environmentally conscious behaviors, which are reinforced through positive reinforcement such as praise and tangible results. This approach forms sustainable habits and creates a school culture conducive to the effective development of student character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ interest in deep learning in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) among junior high school students. A descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale consisting of 30 items covering four indicators: cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and engagement. The sample included 83 students selected from a population of 482 students at SMP Negeri 2 Karangdowo using simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The results showed that students’ interest in deep learning on the cognitive indicator reached 76% (high category), the affective indicator 84% (very high category), the psychomotor indicator 68% (high category), and the engagement indicator 74% (high category). Overall, the level of students’ interest in deep learning reached 75.52%, which falls into the high category. These findings indicate that students demonstrate a positive tendency toward PJOK learning, particularly in affective aspects. However, improvements are still needed in psychomotor skills and active engagement during learning activities. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to implement innovative, varied, and student-centered teaching strategies to enhance engagement, learning outcomes, and meaningful learning experience

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of a cooperative learning model using the MURDER method (Mood, Understand, Recall, Detect, Elaborate, Review) in improving elementary school students’ mathematics learning outcomes through a systematic literature review. This study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) approach. Article searches were conducted using the Google Scholar, ERIC, Scopus, and SINTA databases, covering the publication period from 2021 to 2026. Of the 487 articles identified, 22 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed in depth. The results indicate that integrating the MURDER method into cooperative learning models consistently improves elementary school students’ mathematics learning outcomes, with an average increase of 23.7%. Supporting factors for success include structured elaboration stages, fostering a positive mood prior to learning, and student collaboration during the recall and detect phases. The implications of this study provide a theoretical foundation for teachers in implementing MURDER-based cooperative learning at the elementary school level. Abstract

This study aims to synthesize the literature on students’ perceptions of the traditional game boi-boan or boy-boyan as a medium for reinforcing national values in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) instruction in elementary schools. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The literature search was conducted via Google Scholar, Garuda/OJS journal portal, Semantic Scholar, and manual tracking of reference lists using keywords related to traditional games, PJOK, elementary schools, character education, national values, and student perceptions. The publication range was limited to 2021–2026. Of the 186 initial articles identified, 20 publications met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The study’s findings indicate that traditional games in Physical Education and Health (PJOK) foster active participation, motor skill development, cooperation, sportsmanship, discipline, responsibility, cultural identity, and positive student perceptions. Boi-boan is particularly relevant as it integrates teamwork, courage, strategy, adherence to rules, and fair play. However, reinforcing these values is not sufficient through the mere implementation of the game; teachers need to engage in explicit reflection so that students understand the national significance behind the play activity. Therefore, boi-boan needs to be designed as structured Physical Education and Health (PJOK) learning through cultural introduction, safe game modifications, group participation, reflective dialogue, and behavior-based character assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of reflection-based academic supervision in improving elementary school teachers’ ability to implement deep learning. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol. The literature search was conducted using the Google Scholar, ERIC, and Scopus databases, as well as accredited national journal portals, covering publications from 2021 to 2026. Of the total 387 identified articles, 25 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The review results indicate that reflection-based academic supervision, implemented through the stages of pre-observation dialogue, classroom observation, and reflective post-observation discussions, is capable of enhancing teachers’ pedagogical awareness, encouraging changes in teaching practices toward more meaningful approaches, and facilitating the application of deep learning elements such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. The implications of this study underscore the importance of reorienting academic supervision from an administrative-evaluative approach toward a sustainable reflective coaching approach to support learning transformation in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of integrating the Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) digital media with the Polypad virtual manipulative, based on the TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge) framework, in enhancing elementary school students’ motivation and mathematics learning outcomes through a systematic literature review. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA guidelines. The search was conducted in the Google Scholar, ERIC, Scopus, and Semantic Scholar databases, covering publications from 2021 to 2026. Of the 534 identified articles, 25 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that the use of IFP integrated with TPACK-based virtual manipulatives consistently enhances motivation and mathematics learning outcomes. Success factors include the IFP’s multi-touch interactivity, the flexibility of Polypad’s visual representations, and teachers’ TPACK readiness to synergistically orchestrate technology, pedagogy, and mathematics content. For educational practitioners, these findings recommend that teachers not only invest in mastering technological tools, but also actively develop their TPACK competency through continuous professional training and peer collaboration to optimize the impact of IFP and Polypad integration in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of the Sport Math Adventure program—which integrates physical activity with mathematical problem-solving—to improve the physical fitness and critical thinking skills of elementary school students through a systematic literature review. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA guidelines. The search was conducted on Google Scholar, PubMed, ERIC, and Semantic Scholar, covering publications from 2021 to 2026. Of the 512 identified articles, 24 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that integrating physical activity into academic learning consistently improves students’ physical fitness and cognitive performance. Moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity combined with cognitive tasks yields significant positive effects on mathematical ability. Elements of adventure and physical-mathematical challenges have the potential to serve as the foundation for an effective Sport Math Adventure media design to improve both physical fitness and critical thinking skills among elementary school students.
