Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of learning environment and learning styles on the learning quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students at SMP Negeri 22 Batang Hari. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design using a survey method. The population consisted of 160 students, while the sample included 114 students. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software. The results showed that the learning environment had a significant effect on students’ learning quality in PAI, with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05, thus the first hypothesis (H1) was accepted. The effect was positive, indicating that a better learning environment leads to an improvement in students’ learning quality. Learning styles were also found to have a significant effect on learning quality, with a significance value of 0.023 < 0.05, so the second hypothesis (H2) was accepted; however, its influence was relatively weaker compared to the learning environment. Furthermore, both learning environment and learning styles simultaneously had a significant effect on learning quality, with a significance value of < 0.001 < 0.05, thus the third hypothesis (H₃) was accepted. The coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.127 or 12.7%, while the remaining 87.3% was influenced by other variables not included in this study. Abstract

Language ability in early childhood serves as an essential foundation for communication development. However, in learning practices, several obstacles are still encountered, such as children’s limited vocabulary mastery and the lack of variety in teaching methods. This study aims to examine the use of the song “Kalau Kau Suka Hati” in improving the language skills of early childhood learners at TK Al-Ikhtiar Riando. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consisted of 15 Group B children aged 5–6 years, while the informants included teachers, parents, and children. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that the use of the song “Kalau Kau Suka Hati” was implemented through three stages: song exploration, reinforcement through movement, and language creativity development. The improvement in children’s language skills was reflected in the development of active vocabulary mastery, which initially ranged from 600–900 words and became more varied; increased speaking fluency; better understanding of sentence structures using the “if... then...” pattern; and greater confidence in self-expression. The song, which features repetitive lyrics, a cheerful melody, and concrete movements, proved effective in creating engaging and enjoyable multisensory learning. Therefore, “Kalau Kau Suka Hati” can be used as an effective learning medium to support the development of language skills in early childhood.

Abstract

Parental involvement in children's learning processes in elementary school plays a crucial role in supporting their academic success and social-emotional development. This study aims to analyze the influence of parental involvement on children's learning processes in elementary school and the forms of support that can be provided to support student learning success. The research method used was a literature study by collecting various reference sources in the form of journals, books, and previous research results relevant to the research topic. The results of the study indicate that parental involvement has a positive impact on children's learning motivation, academic achievement, communication skills, and character development. Support provided by parents can take the form of learning assistance at home, providing motivation, providing learning facilities, active communication with teachers, and attention to children's learning needs. In addition, good cooperation between schools and families can create a conducive learning environment so that children are more confident and have a high enthusiasm for learning. Conversely, a lack of parental attention and involvement can lead to low learning motivation and decreased student academic achievement. Therefore, active parental involvement needs to be continuously improved through effective communication and good collaboration with the school so that children's academic and non-academic development can be achieved optimally. This research is expected to be a reference for parents and educators in improving the quality of children's learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Muhammad SAW initiated a systematic upheaval that altered tribal allegiances into a broader sense of brotherhood (Ukhuwah Islamiyah). This change involved the removal of oppressive social hierarchies, the advancement of women's roles, and the establishment of a fair legal framework. Additionally, a major cultural transition took place, moving from violent traditions toward a community that values high moral standards (Akhlakul Karimah). The research concludes that these changes effectively transformed the fragmented Arab community into a cohesive and civilized entity. These developments laid the essential groundwork for the emergence of Islamic civilization, which harmonizes religious and humanistic elements. The successful nature of this transformation demonstrates that Islamic principles were effective in enabling a profound social reformation in a relatively brief timeframe, transforming a nomadic society into one with a vision for global civilization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze science learning on abiotic and biotic materials through the utilization of the surrounding environment and students’ understanding of the material. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with the subjects consisting of a teacher and fifth-grade students of SD Kedungturi. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that environment-based learning was implemented through direct observation, discussion, and reflection activities. These activities helped students identify, differentiate, and understand the relationships between abiotic and biotic components. Therefore, the utilization of the surrounding environment provides more concrete and meaningful learning experiences for students.

Abstract

History may be defined as a reconstruction of human life dynamics that includes numerous changes, events, and occurrences across time. In the framework of Islamic culture, the advent of the Umayyad Dynasty was significant since it signaled the continuity of rule following the Khulafaur Rasyidin period. This caliphate lasted from 661 to 750 CE, with its administrative seat in Damascus, before expanding to Cordoba, Spain, from 756 to 1031 CE, becoming known as the Caliphate of Cordoba. The Umayyad Dynasty derived its name from Umayyah ibn Abd Shams, the ancestor of its founder, Muawiyah ibn Abu Sufyan. From the standpoint of Islamic education, understanding Islamic teachings must be done thoroughly and integratively, covering all facets of human existence including spiritual, social, and moral aspects. Islam is ultimately a religion of mercy for all creation (rahmatan lil 'alamin) and should not be linked to extremism.

Abstract

Reading is an important activity in expanding students' knowledge and insight. The success of reading activities is influenced by reading interest, namely the internal drive that makes individuals interested in reading. Low reading interest can hinder students' ability to keep up with the development of constantly changing information. This study aims to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) as a strategy to increase reading interest in elementary school students. The research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique. The research subjects consisted of 25 fifth-grade students who actively participated in the GLS program. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the habituation stage in GLS, especially the fifteen-minute reading activity before learning, was effective in fostering reading interest. Silent reading activities were the most conducive form of activity in building literacy habits and student engagement.

Abstract

Bullying is a social phenomenon that still frequently occurs in educational settings and has a serious impact on the psychological, emotional, and academic development of students. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic values in fostering social awarenessas a means of preventing bullying at SMPIT Al-Madinah Karawang, as well as to identify the various challenges faced in its implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method conducted on May 19, 2025. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with the Islamic Religious Education teacher who also serves as the Vice Principal for Curriculum, school activity observations, and documentation. The research results indicate that the integration of Islamic values such as noble character, empathy, discipline, and respect for others is effective in shaping students’ character and reducing bullying behavior through integrated learning programs, religious activities, and a humanistic and communicative approach. However, the main challenges stem from external factors such as the family environment and social circles outside of school, which do not yet fully support the development of students’ character. Therefore, synergy between schools and families is needed through collaborative programs to strengthen the sustained internalization of Islamic values in order to prevent bullying.

Abstract

The advent of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created epistemological disruption in education. This article aims to analyze how the national climate in Indonesia must transform from an orientation toward mastering content to strengthening digital literacy and critical thinking skills. Using a qualitative approach with literature review and policy analysis methods, this research examines the relevance of essential materials amidst the instant access to information provided by large language models. The research findings indicate that the traditional curriculum, with its dense content, experiences "functional obsolescence" when confronted with AI. As a solution, the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) offers a material decompression model that enables the integration of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and digital ethics. This article concludes that the role of education in the AI ​​era is no longer as a provider of information, but rather as a facilitator of intellectual navigation. The main challenges lie in digital integration and educator pedagogical readiness, which require a complete reorientation of teaching strategies.

Abstract

The transformation of public universities into State-Owned Legal Entity Universities (PTN-BH) has increased financial management autonomy alongside higher demands for accountability. In this context, cash and inventory management represent critical areas due to their high risk of misstatement and discrepancies. This study aims to analyze accountability and the effectiveness of internal control over cash and inventory based on internal audit findings at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), as well as to formulate strategies for system improvement. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing internal audit documents (cash opname, stock opname, and management responses) as primary data, analyzed through a risk-based auditing approach and a strength-based perspective. The findings indicate that UNESA has established formal and documented internal control systems; however, discrepancies between recorded data and actual practices are still identified. These findings do not merely reflect weaknesses but demonstrate that monitoring and audit mechanisms function effectively in detecting risks. Organizational responses to audit findings reveal adaptive accountability and a continuous learning process. The novelty of this study lies in the development of the adaptive accountability concept, which emphasizes the organization’s ability to detect, respond, learn, and improve continuously. The study concludes that accountability in PTN-BH should be understood as a dynamic process integrated with internal control and organizational learning to enhance transparent, adaptive, and sustainable financial governance.
