Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital leadership in fostering innovative behavior within educational organizations. The approach used is qualitative with a literature review method, which involves examining various scientific sources such as journals, books, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that digital leadership plays a crucial role in developing innovative behavior through the integration of technology with organizational culture, strengthening collaboration, and enhancing human resource competencies and digital literacy. Digital leadership does not operate directly but works through organizational mechanisms such as innovation culture, transformational leadership style, and a supportive work environment. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including resistance to change, limited digital competencies, non-adaptive organizational culture, and inadequate infrastructure. Therefore, a holistic leadership approach is needed by balancing technological and human aspects to create sustainable innovation within educational organizations.

Abstract

Writing skills (maharah al-kitābah) are an essential component of Arabic language learning; however, at the elementary school level, students’ writing proficiency remains relatively low. Many students struggle with writing Arabic letters, forming words into sentences, and using vocabulary accurately. This issue is compounded by the use of conventional teaching methods with limited visual media, resulting in low learning motivation. Based on these problems, this study aims to determine the effect of using flash cards on the Arabic writing skills of fifth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 18 Palembang. This research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design involving 20 students from class V B selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were pre-tests, post-tests, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using normality tests, validity and reliability tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain Score calculations. The results indicate that flash cards significantly improve students’ writing skills. The average pre-test score of 65.5 increased to 78.7 after the treatment. The paired sample t-test yielded a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between students’ scores before and after the use of the media. Additionally, the average N-Gain Score of 0.7393 (73.93%) falls within the high category, showing that the improvement occurred effectively. These findings demonstrate that flash cards not only enhance students’ Arabic writing skills but also create a more engaging and interactive learning environment, helping students understand vocabulary through visual support.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of peer interaction on the learning concentration of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students, to determine the level of peer interaction among students, and to determine the level of learning concentration among fifth-grade IT students. The study employs a quantitative approach using a causal-associative research design. The research subjects consisted of 22 fifth-grade IT students, with 19 active respondents analyzed, while 3 students were excluded due to absence and incomplete data. The research instrument consisted of a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale comprising 20 items, including 10 items for the peer interaction variable (X) and 10 items for the learning concentration variable (Y). Data were analyzed using normality tests, simple linear regression, t-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that peer interaction has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning concentration. The coefficient of determination value indicates that peer interaction contributes 42% to students’ learning concentration, while the remainder is influenced by other factors. This suggests that the quality of social interaction among students plays a crucial role in supporting students’ focus and engagement in learning. The better the interactions, the higher the level of learning concentration demonstrated. In conclusion, peer interactions are a significant external factor in improving learning concentration; therefore, positive management of these interactions by teachers and schools is necessary to create a conducive learning environment.

Abstract

In a modern government administration system, bureaucracy is crucial for running the government and serving the public. However, internal problems often lead to poor performance and undermine public trust. The reality experienced within government bureaucracies, such as convoluted work procedures, uneven workloads, slowness, inefficiency, rigidity, a lack of transparency, and corrupt behavior, is described as a sick bureaucracy or bureaucratic pathology. This study aims to determine the conditions and various practices of bureaucratic pathology in Indonesia and their prevention in order to create an efficient bureaucracy. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with literature review techniques. The results show that the history of bureaucracy in Indonesia is closely related to national culture and is influenced by existing cultural issues. Culture and habits are difficult to change because they are closely related to morality, which is the initial symptom of bureaucratic pathology.

Abstract

This article is a comprehensive synthesis study that integrates findings from ten scientific articles on bureaucratic pathology and governance reform in Indonesia. Bureaucratic pathology is defined as deviation or dysfunction within the bureaucratic system that results in a decline in public service quality. This study identifies various forms of bureaucratic pathology including corruption, collusion and nepotism, maladministration, complex procedures, low transparency and accountability, and weak apparatus integrity. The causes of pathology are multidimensional, encompassing structural, cultural, individual, and political-legal dimensions. The impacts are broad: declining public trust, hindered economic development, weakened government legitimacy, and increasing social inequality. In response, this study formulates a layered preventive approach including: (1) structural and procedural reform through digitalization and bureaucratic simplification; (2) strengthening human resource capacity based on the merit system and talent management; (3) organizational culture transformation through the internalization of public administration ethics; (4) consistent application of good governance principles; and (5) strengthening the legal system and public participation. It is concluded that the greatest challenge lies not merely in structural change, but in transforming the deeply rooted mindset and work culture of the apparatus.

Abstract

This study aims to comparatively analyze the philosophical foundations of Islamic education and Western philosophy, particularly in terms of the objectives and the nature of education. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach. The data sources are derived from various academic literatures such as books, journals, and scholarly works relevant to the study. Data collection is conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis uses content analysis and comparative methods. The results indicate that Islamic education is grounded in revelation (the Qur’an and Hadith) and reason, with a theocentric orientation emphasizing the balance of spiritual, intellectual, and moral aspects. In contrast, Western educational philosophy is based on rationalism, empiricism, and humanism, with an anthropocentric orientation focusing on the optimal development of individual potential. In terms of objectives, Islamic education aims at achieving both worldly and hereafter happiness, whereas Western education emphasizes progress, freedom, and worldly well-being. Regarding its nature, Islamic education is viewed as a form of worship and moral development, while Western education is seen as a process of humanization. Despite these fundamental differences, both share similarities in developing human potential. Therefore, an integration of spiritual and rational values is necessary to create a comprehensive educational system that is relevant to contemporary challenges

Abstract

This study examines the variation of the Dayak Pompakng language, specifically the Bekidoh dialect, among students of Universitas PGRI Pontianak. Language as a reflection of cultural identity develops dynamically and produces variations influenced by social factors, particularly in the form of sociolects. This research aims to analyze language variation based on levels of formality, namely casual and intimate variations used by students. The method employed is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include observation, participation, interview, recording, and note-taking. The results show variations in word forms such as “əŋredʒa–ŋredʒo,” “ŋai–ŋae,” “boraŋkat–ijoh,” “ŋokɪh–kokɪh,” and “tonɪʔ–labʊʔ,” which have the same meanings but differ in usage according to social context. Casual variation is used in informal situations without requiring close relationships, while intimate variation is used in close social relationships. These findings indicate that language variation reflects patterns of social interaction and plays an important role in maintaining regional languages as cultural identity.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of understanding among fourth-grade elementary school students regarding character traits and figures in Indonesian language learning, which is caused by the use of textbooks that contain minimal illustrations and are less engaging. This research aims to develop a supplementary illustrated storybook that is feasible and practical to be used as a supporting teaching material. The method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation, with 26 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Pandean Lamper 05 Semarang as the research subjects. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, with research instruments consisting of material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The results show that the developed book is highly feasible, with material expert validation reaching 99.34% and media expert validation reaching 98.95%, and highly practical, as indicated by teacher responses of 100% and student responses of 85.40%. Therefore, the book can be used as a creative, innovative, and engaging supporting teaching material in Indonesian language learning.
