Abstract

This article discusses the curriculum development models proposed by Murray Print and Laurie Brady and their relevance to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. Curriculum development is an important component in improving the quality of education because it determines the direction, objectives, learning processes, and evaluation systems used in schools. Murray Print emphasizes a systematic, structured, and continuous evaluation approach in curriculum development, while Laurie Brady focuses on flexibility, teacher creativity, and contextual learning processes. The research method used in this article is a literature study by analyzing books, journals, and official documents related to curriculum development and the Merdeka Curriculum. The results show that the Merdeka Curriculum combines the structured approach of Murray Print with the flexible and interactive approach of Laurie Brady. This combination supports student-centered learning and encourages teachers to become innovative curriculum developers in the classroom. Therefore, the integration of both models is considered relevant for improving the quality of education in Indonesia in the 21st century. Abstract

Interpersonal intelligence is a crucial aspect of student development, particularly at the elementary school level. This study aims to describe the interpersonal intelligence of elementary school students, including its definition, variations, supporting factors, and its role in social life and learning. This study employed a literature review method, analyzing three relevant scientific journals. The results indicate that interpersonal intelligence is an individual's ability to understand feelings and interact effectively with others. Interpersonal intelligence in elementary school students varies widely, including high, medium, and low. The development of this intelligence is influenced by several factors, including the family environment, school environment, and individual social experiences. Furthermore, interpersonal intelligence plays a crucial role in enhancing students' communication, cooperation, empathy, and conflict resolution skills. Therefore, the development of interpersonal intelligence requires attention from teachers and parents to support students' social and academic success.

Abstract

This study examines Yusuf al-Qardhawi’s methodology of intiqa’i and insya’i ijtihad in relation to the phenomenon of human milk banks. This issue is significant because human milk banks provide medical benefits for premature infants, low-birth-weight infants, and babies who cannot receive breast milk from their biological mothers. However, in Islamic law, human milk banks raise several jurisprudential issues related to radha’ah, milk kinship, lineage protection, donor documentation, and legal certainty in Islamic family law. This study uses a qualitative library research method with approaches from usul al-fiqh, maqasid al-shariah, intellectual biography, and document analysis. The findings show that al-Qardhawi’s intiqa’i ijtihad is relevant for selecting earlier juristic opinions that are stronger, more beneficial, and more suitable for modern contexts. Meanwhile, insya’i ijtihad is relevant for formulating new legal reasoning on human milk banks as a modern medical phenomenon that did not exist in the same institutional form in classical Islamic jurisprudence. From the perspective of maqasid al-shariah, human milk banks may support hifz al-nafs by protecting infant survival and health, but they must also preserve hifz al-nasl through proper documentation of milk kinship. This study concludes that human milk banks can be accepted when managed safely, transparently, non exploitatively, and in accordance with Islamic legal principles. Al-Qardhawi’s thought offers a middle path between absolute rejection and unrestricted acceptance of human milk banks.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low problem-solving ability of early childhood learners, which is caused by learning activities that are still teacher-centered and do not actively involve children in the learning process. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the problem-solving abilities of early childhood students at TK Idhata Pontianak. This study employed a quantitative approach using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of Group B children at TK Idhata Pontianak aged 5–6 years, totaling 16 children, consisting of 10 boys and 6 girls. Data were collected using an observation sheet of children’s problem-solving abilities based on predetermined indicators. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis, normality testing, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The results showed a significant difference in children’s problem-solving abilities before and after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model, as indicated by a t-test significance value of less than 0.05. In addition, the N-Gain results indicated an improvement in children’s problem-solving abilities in the moderate to high category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model has a significant effect on improving the problem-solving abilities of early childhood students at TK Idhata Pontianak. Keywords: Project Based Learning, Problem-Soving Ability, Early Childhood   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini didasari oleh kemampuan pemecahan masalah anak usia dini yang rendah karena pembelajaran masih bersifat teacher-centered dan kurang melibatkan anak secara aktif dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah anak usia dini di TK Idhata Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian adalah anak kelompok B di TK Idhata Pontianak yang berusia 5–6 tahun dengan jumlah 16 orang anak, terdiri atas 10 anak laki-laki dan 6 anak perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah anak berdasarkan indikator yang telah ditetapkan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji t berpasangan (paired sample t-test), dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah anak sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model Project Based Learning, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi uji t lebih kecil dari 0,05. Selain itu, hasil perhitungan N-Gain menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah anak pada kategori sedang sampai dengan tinggi. Oleh karena itu, dinyatakan penerapan model Project Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah anak usia dini di TK Idhata Pontianak. Abstract

This study aims to determine how the role of animated video learning media can increase students' interest in learning PPKn subjects in grade XI of Eria Medan Private High School in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This study uses a Descriptive Approach with qualitative methods. This research was conducted at Eria Medan Private High School, located at Jl. Sisingamangarajar No. 195, Medan Kota District, Medan City, North Sumatra. The research subjects consisted of 1 PPKn Teacher and 8 Grade XI Students. The data collected included primary data from documentation, interviews and observations. And secondary data from books, journals and relevant internet websites. Data collection techniques involved observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display and data verification. The results of the study showed that the use of animated video learning media can attract students' attention, facilitate understanding of the material and increase students' learning motivation. Then a student's interest in learning can be seen from feelings of pleasure towards learning activities, high attention to learning, interest in the material being studied and active participation in learning activities. Therefore, it can be concluded that animated video learning media can increase students' interest in learning PPKn. Therefore, animated video learning media can be a real solution to the problem of low student interest in PPKn.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of students to learn, especially in the subject of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship caused by the use of conventional learning media. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of interactive PowerPoint media in increasing students' learning motivation. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through a pretest-posttest control group design pattern. The research population amounted to 130 students, with a sample of 54 students and was selected using the class-based Cluster Sampling technique (intact group). The determination of this sample also contains elements of Purposive sampling. The results on the paired sample t-test of the control and experimental classes showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. In addition, the results of the independent sample t-test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The average N-Gain value of the control class was 16.97% (low category), while the experimental class was 57.80% (medium category). This shows that the use of interactive PowerPoint media is more effective in increasing students' learning motivation compared to conventional methods. Thus, interactive PowerPoint media can be recommended as an innovative learnig alternative to increase students' motivation to learn.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze teachers’ moral competence in maintaining interaction boundaries with students in the digital era. The development of digital technology had transformed educational interaction patterns from those previously limited to classroom settings into broader communication through social media, instant messaging applications, and online learning platforms. This condition created more flexible communication opportunities, but also presented challenges in maintaining teachers’ professional boundaries. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method by collecting and analyzing relevant scientific literature. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the concept of teachers’ moral competence, changes in educational interaction patterns, and the challenges of professionalism in the digital era. The results showed that teachers’ moral competence played an important role as the foundation of educational professionalism related to integrity, responsibility, and exemplary conduct. In addition, the development of digital interaction had expanded educational communication spaces, requiring teachers to have stronger moral awareness in maintaining interaction boundaries with students. This study confirmed that strengthening teachers’ moral competence was an important necessity in maintaining the quality of educational relationships in the digital era. Keywords: Teacher professionalism, digital interaction, educational ethics ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi moral guru dalam menjaga batas interaksi dengan peserta didik di era digital. Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah pola interaksi pendidikan dari yang sebelumnya terbatas pada ruang kelas menjadi lebih luas melalui media sosial, aplikasi pesan instan, dan platform pembelajaran daring. Kondisi ini membuka peluang komunikasi yang lebih fleksibel, tetapi juga menghadirkan tantangan dalam menjaga batas profesional guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research melalui pengumpulan dan analisis berbagai literatur ilmiah yang relevan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi konsep kompetensi moral guru, perubahan pola interaksi pendidikan, serta tantangan profesionalisme di era digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi moral guru memiliki peran penting sebagai fondasi profesionalisme pendidikan yang berkaitan dengan integritas, tanggung jawab, dan keteladanan. Selain itu, perkembangan interaksi digital telah memperluas ruang komunikasi pendidikan sehingga menuntut guru memiliki kesadaran moral yang lebih kuat dalam menjaga batas interaksi dengan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan kompetensi moral guru menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam menjaga kualitas hubungan pendidikan di era digital. Abstract

Kurikulum merupakan pedoman penting dalam proses pembelajaran karena mengandung komponen-komponen yang saling terkait seperti tujuan, materi pembelajaran, metode pengajaran, dan evaluasi. Artikel ini membahas komponen-komponen kurikulum dalam pembelajaran, peran guru dalam mengintegrasikan komponen-komponen kurikulum, dan tantangan yang dihadapi guru. Secara lebih sederhana, ini juga merujuk pada langkah-langkah praktis yang dapat kita ambil untuk menyelesaikan berbagai masalah yang muncul. Fokusnya adalah menemukan cara terbaik untuk mengatasi tantangan-tantangan ini agar tidak menghambat pencapaian tujuan kita. Guru memainkan peran penting sebagai perencana, pelaksana, dan evaluator dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga keberhasilan implementasi kurikulum sangat dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi guru. Dalam praktiknya, guru masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk kesulitan dalam memahami kurikulum, merancang tujuan pembelajaran, memilih metode pengajaran yang tepat, melakukan evaluasi, dan menghadapi keterbatasan fasilitas dan keterampilan teknologi. Untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah ini, diperlukan beberapa upaya, seperti pelatihan guru, pengembangan profesional, dukungan sekolah, dan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Dengan dukungan yang memadai, guru diharapkan dapat mengimplementasikan kurikulum secara lebih efektif sehingga tujuan pendidikan dapat tercapai secara optimal.

Abstract

Character education at the elementary school level is one of the important aspects in shaping students’ personalities holistically. Literary works, especially biographical novels, can be utilized as contextual learning resources because they contain various life values relevant to education. This study aims to analyze the educational values contained in the novel Perempuan yang Mendahului Zaman by Khairul Jasmi and examine their relevance to elementary education. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach. The data source of this study was the novel Perempuan yang Mendahului Zaman, which was systematically analyzed through coding, categorization, and data interpretation processes. Data analysis techniques were conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through persistent observation and theory triangulation. The analysis of educational values in this study referred to the concept of character education proposed by Thomas Lickona, which includes the aspects of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. The results showed that the novel contains religious values, independence, responsibility, perseverance, and a spirit of struggle in education. These values have strong relevance to the goals of elementary education in shaping students’ character. The conclusion of this study indicates that biographical novels can be utilized as value- and character-based learning resources in elementary education.

Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) is one of the important programs in Vocational High Schools (SMK) to equip students with real experience in the industrial world. However, the implementation of PKL at SMK Kartika 1-2 Padang still faces several obstacles, such as manual data management, attendance and activity journals that are prone to manipulation, and the process of collecting reports that is time-consuming and costly. To overcome these problems, this study aims to develop a web-based PKL information system that can facilitate the management of PKL activities effectively and efficiently. This study uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and system testing. The system design was developed using the Laravel framework with MySQL database support. System testing was carried out in two stages, namely the alpha test which includes Whitebox Testing and Blackbox Testing, and the beta test involving experts and users to assess the quality and level of practicality of the system. The results of the study indicate that the PKL information system that was built has functioned as expected. The alpha test demonstrated that all system components functioned smoothly without significant issues, while the beta test yielded highly satisfactory results, with an average rating of 96.98% from experts and 90.89% from users. Based on these results, this web-based PKL information system is considered highly practical and capable of supporting the management of PKL activities at SMK Kartika 1-2 Padang more effectively, efficiently, and transparently.
