Abstract

Earth Day has become a global momentum that encourages various brands to increase their awareness of environmental issues, including the beauty industry, which produces large amounts of cosmetic packaging waste. This study aims to analyze the script writer’s strategy in writing the script for BLP Beauty’s “Earthday with BLP” video campaign, as well as the application of visual symbols in building audience emotional engagement. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a content analysis approach toward the video campaign script and observations of the scriptwriting process. The writing of the video campaign script was carried out using the Brand Storytelling method based on Donald Miller’s concept, which includes core message development, character framing, narrative structuring, emotional and visual integration, and call to action. The implementation of these elements in the video campaign script is able to build audience emotional engagement while strengthening the brand’s image as environmentally conscious and relevant to the audience’s daily lives.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine students' responses, validity, and effectiveness of problem-based LKPD on fractions material to improve problem-solving ability in fifth-grade elementary school students. It also aimed to determine the practicality of problem-based LKPD on fractions material to enhance problem-solving ability in fifth-grade elementary school students. The research design used was research and development (R&D). The subjects of this research were media experts, material experts, learning experts, and student responses. The object of this research was the student worksheet designed to assist teachers in the teaching and learning process. The developed LKPD was a problem-based LKPD on simple fractions material. This research resulted in a product in the form of a problem-based LKPD to improve problem-solving ability in fifth-grade elementary school students. The validity results of the feasibility assessment of LKPD from the overall expert evaluation obtained a percentage score of 96% from 20 statements. The validity results of the material expert assessment obtained an overall percentage of 91.11% from 9 statements. The practicality validation results of the LKPD were observed based on teacher and student response assessments, where the overall teacher response score reached 94% from 20 statements, and the overall student response score reached 92.5% from 10 statements. Based on the effectiveness aspect, the developed LKPD met the predetermined effectiveness criteria, with students' average scores before using the LKPD being 51.25% and increasing to 91.25% after using the LKPD.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the demonstration method in fiqih learning on wudhu material for second-grade students at SDIT Al-Islamiyyah. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subject was the second-grade teacher at SDIT Al-Islamiyyah. Data were collected through interviews and documentation. The results showed that fiqih learning on wudhu material was conducted through two stages, namely theoretical explanation and direct practice using the demonstration method. The teacher explained the wudhu material and demonstrated the correct procedures of wudhu, after which students practiced it in turns. The implementation of the demonstration method made students more active, enthusiastic, and easier to understand the wudhu material compared to learning that only used the lecture method. Although there were challenges in time management and maintaining students’ concentration, the demonstration method was considered effective in helping students understand and practice the correct procedures of wudhu.

Abstract

This study assesses how infrastructure and amenities at MA Nurul Hidayah in Jambi contribute to creating a favorable learning environment. Through observation, interviews, and documentation, information was gathered from the principal of the school, instructors, and students using a descriptive qualitative method. The Miles and Huberman analytical technique was then used to examine the data. Adequate facilities greatly enhance students' comfort, focus, and motivation to learn, according to the research findings. Despite the fact that procurement planning has been incorporated through the BOS-funded ERKAM system, this study found challenges due to the building's physical state and the scarcity of digital equipment. The primary suggestions for the sustainability of an optimal learning environment are to enhance the quality of technology facilities and optimize facility management. Abstract

  In this study, the author intends to describe the role of the homeroom teacher in efforts to increase student learning interest at Jarinabi Elementary School. The author uses a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. Where, the data obtained are based on the results of observations, interviews, and documentation with informants principal, homeroom teacher, and students. Then the data obtained will be analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the data obtained, the results of this study indicate that a homeroom teacher has an important part in efforts to increase student learning interest through three main roles, namely as a class manager, motivator, and mentor. As a class manager, the homeroom teacher creates a conducive learning environment through classroom arrangement, as a motivator, the homeroom teacher fosters a spirit of learning through a variety of fun learning methods, providing verbal motivation, and appreciation to students. Also, as a mentor, the homeroom teacher can build personal relationships with students, help resolve academic and social-emotional problems, and have a good relationship with parents in terms of communication. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, researchers can draw a conclusion that homeroom teachers have an important part and role, both in creating a comfortable, effective and enjoyable learning atmosphere so that they can help to increase students' interest in learning. Abstract

The Single Tuition Fee (UKT) policy is a key instrument in higher education funding, aimed at creating a payment system that is fair, proportionate and commensurate with students’ financial means. However, in its implementation within the Islamic Education Management (MPI) programme at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, this policy continues to raise various issues, particularly regarding perceptions of fairness, the transparency of UKT category determination, and an appeals mechanism that is considered suboptimal. This study aims to analyse the political dynamics in the implementation of the UKT policy and its impact on equitable access to higher education. The research method employed is a qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal a disparity in perceptions between the university administration and students regarding the UKT classification process, transparency of information, and the institution’s response to student appeals. Furthermore, campus political dynamics reveal power relations and a tug-of-war between institutional management efficiency and the principle of social justice in higher education. The study’s conclusion emphasises that the UKT policy requires a more participatory, transparent, and responsive evaluation to effectively support equitable access to higher education. Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has changed the way people obtain and disseminate information through social media. Instagram has become one of the platforms that greatly influences the formation of public opinion through visual content, information distribution algorithms, and hashtag features. Students, as digital natives, have a high intensity of social media usage, making them more exposed to issues developing in digital spaces. One phenomenon that has attracted public attention is the emergence of the hashtag #IndonesiaGelap, which often contains critical narratives regarding public policies, including the management of educational funding. This study aims to determine the influence of Instagram posts containing the hashtag #IndonesiaGelap on the perceptions of students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia regarding the efficiency of educational funding. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 1,000 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using closed-ended questionnaires with a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the relationship between exposure to Instagram posts and students’ perceptions. The results showed that posts containing the hashtag #IndonesiaGelap had a significant and negative influence on students’ perceptions of educational funding efficiency. This finding was supported by a t-value of -23.572 with a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). The regression equation Y = 44.897 - 0.679X indicates that the higher the exposure to the content, the lower the students’ positive perception of educational funding efficiency. This study highlights the importance of digital literacy so that students can understand information critically and objectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of Maqashid Sharia (Islamic Principles) into Human Resource Management (MSDI) practices at BMT Muamalah Mandiri. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design to deeply understand the dynamics of maqashid value implementation within MSDI functions. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that maqashid values ​​have been internalized in MSDI practices, particularly in recruitment, training and development, performance appraisal, and work environment management. The hifz al-din dimension is reflected in religiosity- and moral-based recruitment, hifz al-aql in spiritual and competency development, hifz al-mal in trustworthiness- and integrity-based assessment, and hifz al-nafs in efforts to create a conducive work environment. However, this implementation remains substantive and has not been systematically institutionalized in the form of SOPs, performance indicators, or formal maqashid-based policies. This study finds that the primary challenge in integrating maqashid (Islamic principles) into Islamic microfinance institutions (MSDI) lies not in internalizing values, but in transforming them into a measurable managerial system. Therefore, this study proposes a conceptual model for maqashid-based MSDI that emphasizes the balance between internalizing spiritual values ​​and strengthening organizational systems. This research contributes to the development of Islamic MSDI studies, particularly at the level of Islamic microfinance institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the competency analysis of Pancasila Education Teachers in the use of digital technology to create interesting learning media at UPT SMP Negeri 6 Medan in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The problems found in the field where teachers still carry out monotonous learning processes in class and the use of digital technology to create interesting learning media is not optimal for the needs of the teaching and learning process. The research method used in this study is the mixed methods method or a mixed method of the Exploratory sequential design type by collecting data through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The location of this research is at UPT SMP Negeri 6 Medan, which is located at Jl. Bahagia No. 42, Teladan Timur Village, Medan Kota District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province. In this study the informants used were 35 people consisting of 2 Pancasila Education teachers of grade IX and 33 grade IX students. The research results indicate that ninth-grade Pancasila Education teachers possess excellent competency in the use of digital technology to create engaging learning media. This is supported by student assessments of the four competencies, with 89.09% being categorized as excellent. Furthermore, data on the creation and selection of engaging learning media showed a 91.26% categorization as excellent. Teachers understand how to use and utilize technology and media platforms through continuous independent learning and training, further enhancing their understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of utilizing wood waste as an interactive learning medium and to identify its benefits in the IPAS subject for fourth-grade students at MIS LKMD Waeperang. The research stems from students’ low understanding of IPAS material due to limited learning media. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that the utilization of wood waste as an interactive learning medium was carried out by processing available materials into a visual model representing the water cycle in IPAS learning. The presence of this media enabled students to grasp the concept more easily through direct observation of the processes displayed in a concrete form. Its use also encouraged active engagement, increased interest, and strengthened students’ understanding and participation throughout the learning process. In addition to helping teachers deliver the material more clearly and attractively, the use of wood waste also fostered environmental awareness by promoting the reuse of discarded materials as meaningful educational tools.
