Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing the creativity of sixth-grade teachers at SD Negeri 05 Palembang. The primary focus of this study is to examine the extent to which this technology can serve as a catalyst for teachers to develop more flexible and engaging learning innovations for elementary school students. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method using a case study approach. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with sixth-grade teachers, and documentation of learning products that utilized AI tools. Subsequently, the collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analytical model. The findings indicate that the implementation of AI-based tools, such as Canva Magic Design and other automated content-creation platforms, has proven to help teachers work more efficiently in developing creative teaching materials. In addition, this technology also enables more diverse visual exploration tailored to students’ characteristics. Nonetheless, this study also identified barriers in the form of uneven levels of teachers’ digital literacy and limited supporting facilities at the school. Overall, AI has proven effective in supporting teachers’ pedagogical creativity; however, ongoing technical support is needed to ensure its optimal and equitable use

Abstract

The Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappelitbang) of Tanjungpinang City plays a strategic role in producing research findings and innovations that serve as the foundation for regional development policymaking. However, the suboptimal utilization of research and development outputs in the development planning process indicates a gap between the expected role of research and development (R&D) and its actual implementation. This study aims to analyze the implementation and optimization of the research and development function in supporting regional development planning at Bappelitbang of Tanjungpinang City. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were subsequently analyzed descriptively. The findings reveal that the R&D function at Bappelitbang of Tanjungpinang City has not been implemented optimally, as indicated by inconsistencies in the measurement of performance indicators and the failure to achieve regional innovation implementation targets. Several challenges were identified, including the limited utilization of research findings in development policies, the lack of alignment between research activities and regional strategic issues, weak motivation among civil servants and regional government agencies to innovate, and limited collaboration with higher education institutions. Using George R. Terry’s POAC management framework (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling), the study proposes several recommendations, including the formulation of a research and development master plan, strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration, enhancing innovation mentoring and training programs, and developing a results-oriented monitoring and evaluation system.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Reading Workshop learning model on the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 50 Erebulu Sinjai. The research employed a quasi-experimental design using a pretest- posttest control group design. The study population consisted of all fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 50 Erebulu Sinjai. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique, in which all members of the population were involved in the study. Data were collected through essay tests administered before and after the treatment to measure students’ reading comprehension skills. The research procedure included administering a pretest, implementing the Reading Workshop model in the experimental class while the control class received conventional instruction, and conducting a posttest. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing to examine the significance of differences between groups. The results showed that students’ reading comprehension skills improved after the implementation of the Reading Workshop model. The experimental class obtained a mean pretest score of 72.30 and a mean posttest score of 90.50, indicating a substantial improvement and achievement of learning mastery. Furthermore, the hypothesis test yielded a significance value of 0.001, which was lower than the significance level of 0.05 (0.001 < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the Reading Workshop learning model has a significant positive effect on the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 50 Erebulu Sinjai.

Sri Wahyu Nengsi. 2026. The Effect of the Small Group Discussion Method on the Speaking Skills of Fifth-Grade Students at the SPF Unit of Mannuruki Public Elementary School. Thesis. Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Supervisor I Aliem Bahri and Supervisor II Anin Asnidar. This study aims to determine the effect of the Small Group Discussion method on the speaking skills of fifth-grade students at the SPF Unit of Mannuruki Public Elementary School, Makassar City. The background of this study is based on students' low speaking skills, characterized by a lack of courage in expressing opinions, low student participation during the learning process, and the use of learning methods that still do not actively involve students in learning activities. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental research design using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study consisted of 30 fifth-grade students at the SPF Unit of Mannuruki Public Elementary School, Makassar City. The instruments used were a speaking skills test and an observation sheet. Data collection techniques were conducted through tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential statistics with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26.The results showed that before the implementation of the Small Group Discussion method, the average pretest score for students was 37.1667, with a highest score of 47 and a lowest score of 28, indicating that all students were considered incomplete. After the implementation of the Small Group Discussion method, the average posttest score for students increased to 81.9333, with a highest score of 91 and a lowest score of 74, indicating that all students were considered incomplete. Furthermore, the results of the hypothesis test using the Paired Sample T-Test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a significant effect on students' speaking skills after the implementation of the Small Group Discussion method. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Small Group Discussion method has a significant effect on improving the speaking skills of fifth-grade students at the UPT SPF of Mannuruki Elementary School, Makassar City, in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of sleep quality on the effectiveness of athletes’ training. Sleep quality is an important factor that plays a role in physical recovery, performance improvement, and injury prevention in athletes. The research method used is a quantitative  with a correlational design. This study was conducted in Jambi City with futsal athletes from the Halus Kasar FC team as the research subjects. Data were collected through a sleep quality questionnaire and observation of training effectiveness, which includes endurance, strength, speed, and agility. The data analysis technique used statistical correlation tests to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and the effectiveness of training in futsal athletes of the Halus Kasar FC team. Athletes with good sleep quality tend to have better training performance compared to those with poor sleep quality. Therefore, good sleep quality is very important to support the improvement of performance and training effectiveness of futsal athletes in the Halus Kasar FC team.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational management in shaping students' environmental care character through the Tatanen di Bale Atikan Program at Sukamanah State Elementary School 1, Bojong District, Purwakarta Regency. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the school principal, teachers, students, and parents, as well as documentation analysis. The results of the study show that educational management, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating (POAC), plays a very significant role in shaping students' environmental care character. Through the Tatanen di Bale Atikan Program, students experienced improvements in knowledge, attitudes, and real behaviors such as maintaining cleanliness, caring for plants, and appreciating the environment. This study concludes that effective educational management based on local wisdom is capable of creating meaningful learning and forming students' environmental care character in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji transformasi makna restorasi ilahi dalam kisah Nabi Ayyub pada Al-Qur’an dan Alkitab melalui perspektif intertekstualitas Julia Kristeva. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi persamaan dan perbedaan narasi serta menjelaskan transformasi makna restorasi dalam kedua teks. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Data primer berupa ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an tentang Nabi Ayyub dan Kitab Ayub, sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari literatur ilmiah terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua teks sama-sama menampilkan pola ujian dan pemulihan, tetapi berbeda dalam struktur naratif dan penekanan teologis. Al-Qur’an menekankan rahmat Allah dan pemulihan menyeluruh, sedangkan Alkitab menekankan penderitaan dan pemulihan bertahap. Secara intertekstual, restorasi dipahami sebagai makna yang ditransformasikan dan menghubungkan manusia dengan Tuhan.

Abstract

Individuals with visual impairments often face various challenges in obtaining formal employment due to limited access to the labor market, low levels of social acceptance, and a lack of job opportunities that match their abilities. Therefore, entrepreneurial skills serve as an alternative means of improving their economic independence. This study aims to analyze entrepreneurship skills training for visually impaired individuals at SLB-A Karya Murni Medan, focusing on the aspects of planning, implementation, and the supporting and inhibiting factors of the training program. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with an approach that emphasizes in-depth observation of the phenomenon under study. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the implementation of entrepreneurship skills training.The findings reveal that the planning of the entrepreneurship training program was conducted systematically through the identification of participants’ needs, the determination of training objectives, the preparation of learning materials, and the provision of facilities and infrastructure tailored to the conditions and needs of visually impaired individuals. The implementation of the training was carried out effectively through direct practice, demonstrations, and individual mentoring, which successfully enhanced participants’ knowledge, skills, and self-confidence. Supporting factors included the commitment of the management, instructors, and mentors, participants’ motivation, and a conducive learning environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consisted of limited funding, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, a shortage of instructors, and restricted access to product marketing. Overall, the entrepreneurship skills training program at SLB-A Karya Murni Medan has made a positive contribution to improving the skills and independence of visually impaired individuals, providing them with valuable preparation for entering the workforce and establishing independent businesses.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Beauty of Ramadhan Event in building a positive image and increasing visitor traffic at One Belpark Mall, South Jakarta. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method to gain an in-depth understanding of the event management process and its impact on visitors. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the Marketing Communication division of One Belpark Mall, and documentation. The analysis was based on Noor’s (2017) Event Management Theory, which consists of three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The findings indicate that the event was systematically organized through various activities, including the One B Hijab Fashion Show, Toys Fair, Book Fair, social programs in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa, and partnerships with various communities, supported by both digital and conventional promotional media. The event was found to have a positive impact on increasing visitor traffic during the Ramadan period, enhancing tenant activity in the surrounding event area, and strengthening the positive image of One Belpark Mall as an active, innovative, and socially responsible shopping center. The evaluation results also revealed the need for broader community involvement and adjustments to the scheduling of activities in accordance with visitor attendance patterns during Ramadan. This study concludes that the implementation of event marketing and experiential marketing through the Beauty of Ramadhan Event is effective in increasing visitor traffic while simultaneously reinforcing the positive image of One Belpark Mall. These findings suggest that events designed according to audience needs and managed in a structured manner can serve as an effective marketing communication strategy for shopping centers in responding to the growing competition within the retail industry and the expansion of online shopping.

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan menganalisis kesulitan belajar siswa kelas V SDN 69 Banda Aceh dalam memecahkan masalah luas dan keliling bangun datar gabungan berdasarkan Teori Newman. Dari 23 siswa yang mengikuti tes tertulis, ditetapkan 6 siswa sebagai subjek utama penelitian untuk dianalisis dan diwawancarai secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan urutan tingkat kesulitan dari terendah hingga tertinggi: Kesulitan Membaca (0%), Memahami Masalah (25%), Transformasi (39%), Keterampilan Proses (45%), dan Penulisan Jawaban Akhir (60%). Kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir merupakan dampak beruntun dari kelemahan komputasi dasar dan pemahaman konsep. Guru disarankan mengajar geometri secara visual serta merutinkan latihan hitung dasar, sedangkan siswa perlu dibiasakan menuliskan langkah penyelesaian secara lengkap.
