Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership, work ethic, and teachers' work discipline on school service quality in Cluster 7 Public Elementary Schools, Cikupa District, Tangerang Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory research design. The research population consisted of 159 teachers, with a sample of 114 teachers. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through normality, linearity, homogeneity, and multiple linear regression analyses. The results revealed that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on school service quality (β = 0.366; t = 7.073; p < 0.05). Work ethic also had a positive and significant effect (β = 0.242; t = 4.932; p < 0.05), as did teachers' work discipline (β = 0.206; t = 4.178; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, transformational leadership, work ethic, and work discipline had a positive and significant effect on school service quality (F = 444.306; p < 0.001), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.924. This indicates that 92.4% of the variance in school service quality can be explained by the three independent variables. Transformational leadership was identified as the most dominant predictor of school service quality. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening school leadership, improving teachers' work ethic, and enhancing work discipline to improve the quality of educational services

Abstract

Digital technology development has significantly affected education. However, a preliminary study found that the use of digital learning media in Pendidikan Pancasila lessons for fourth-grade elementary students was not yet optimal; learning was still dominated by textbooks and lecturing, leaving students less active and engaged. This study aims to produce a Wordwall medium based on Problem Based Learning that is valid, practical, and effective for teaching Pendidikan Pancasila in grade IV elementary school. This is a research and development (R&D) study using the 4-D model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Data collected covered the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the medium. The validity test obtained percentages of 91.66% from the material expert, 93.75% from the language expert, and 93.75% from the media expert, with an overall average validity of 93.05% in the “very valid” category. The practicality test in three schools showed teacher scores ranging from 89.28% to 96.42% and student scores ranging from 92.99% to 95.83%, both in the “very practical” category. The effectiveness test showed percentages of 98.63% at SDN 30 Cengkeh, 94.16% at SDN 15 Koto Lalang, and 97.50% at SDN 10 Lubuk Begalung, all in the “very effective” category. It is concluded that the Wordwall medium based on Problem Based Learning is valid, practical, and effective in supporting the learning of Pendidikan Pancasila in grade IV elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership, work motivation, and organizational culture on teacher performance in Public Elementary Schools in South Bogor District, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative descriptive method. The study population was all Public Elementary School teachers in South Bogor District. The research sample consisted of 112 teachers determined using probability sampling techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through the distribution of questionnaires using a Likert scale that had met validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis preceded by analysis prerequisite tests, namely normality, homogeneity, and linearity tests. Hypothesis testing was carried out using a t-test to determine the partial effect, an F-test to determine the simultaneous effect, and a coefficient of determination to determine the contribution of the independent variables to the dependent variable. The results showed that transformational leadership, work motivation, and organizational culture partially and simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance in Public Elementary Schools in South Bogor District. The R Square (R²) value of 0.660 indicates that 66.0% of the variation in teacher performance can be jointly explained by transformational leadership, work motivation, and organizational culture, while the remaining 34.0% is influenced by other factors outside the research model that were not examined.

Abstract

The low level of active engagement and exploratory capacity among elementary school students in conventional, teacher-centered learning environments poses a significant obstacle to early childhood character building. This research focuses on developing a maritime transportation civilization textbook integrated with Project-Based Learning (PjBL) via a genetic approach, employing the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) development model to foster children's curiosity character. The research subjects involved 55 fourth-grade students at a public elementary school in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, divided into an experimental group (class IV A) and a control group (class IV B). The developed product was implemented through five maritime-themed project activities: constructing miniature ships using recycled cans, ice cream sticks, straws, used bottles, and cardboard. Based on the findings, the developed textbook achieved an average expert validation score of 3.78, categorized as "Excellent," thereby being declared highly feasible for use without requiring revisions. Furthermore, the quasi-experimental results demonstrated that the textbook effectively enhanced the experimental group's curiosity character, yielding an N-Gain score of 66.23% (moderate/moderately effective category), which significantly outperformed the control group. The z-score analysis indicated a substantial disparity in the specific indicators of "completing tasks to the point of losing track of time" (experimental 1.34 vs. control -1.45) and "engaging in conversations with strangers out of fascination" (experimental 1.2 vs. control -1.3). A high level of inter-rater reliability was confirmed by the overall mean Krippendorff's Alpha score of $\alpha = 0.678$ (high category). These findings demonstrate that integrating PjBL with a maritime civilization theme successfully triggers substantial intrinsic motivation, deep focus, and explorative behavior in children.

Abstract

This research is driven by the minimal utilization of digital learning media in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), which results in students' difficulties in understanding the abstract material of Biodiversity. This condition is further exacerbated by students' low enthusiasm for reading textbooks and their lack of engagement in the learning process, leading to suboptimal learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to develop a gamification-based "Indonesia Kaya Hayati" IPAS Digital Comic media, as well as to test its validity and practicality. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, this research progresses through five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, expert validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The research subjects involved media, material, and language experts, a grade 4 teacher, and 12 grade 4 students at SDN 1 Wates, Tulungagung Regency. The results showed that the developed digital comic obtained an average validity percentage of 89% (very valid category) and a practicality rate based on student responses of 89% (very practical category). This media is proven to be able to help students understand the concept of Biodiversity through visualization, story narratives, and engaging game elements. Thus, the gamification-based "Indonesia Kaya Hayati" IPAS Digital Comic media is declared very valid, practical, and suitable for use in IPAS learning for grade 4 elementary schools.
