Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Dhuha prayer habituation and its contribution to students' religious character at MTsN 9 Jakarta. A qualitative descriptive case-study design was employed. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews with the madrasah principal, two teachers involved in the program, and two students, as well as documentation of schedules, facilities, and religious activities. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing; credibility was maintained through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings show that Dhuha prayer has become an institutionalized religious culture implemented through a rotating schedule, teacher assistance, congregational prayer, collective supplication, and student-led short sermons. The program contributes to discipline, responsibility, worship awareness, politeness, honesty, and self-control, although internalization differs among students. Supporting factors include school policy, teacher exemplarity, clear task distribution, peer encouragement, and the availability of a mosque. Constraints include limited mosque capacity, damaged ablution facilities, student fatigue, and uneven willingness to participate without reminders. Facility improvement, systematic monitoring, contextual religious mentoring, and cooperation with parents are required to sustain the habituation process.

Abstract

Operational crises in logistics service companies are among the major challenges that can disrupt the distribution process and affect customer trust in service quality. Therefore, effective leadership communication strategies are essential to ensure that crisis management is carried out efficiently and appropriately. This study aims to analyze the leadership communication strategy in managing operational crises at J&T Express Limo Branch, Depok City, using the perspective of the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT). This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the Supervisor (SPV) and the Operational Administrator as the research informants. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that operational crises are caused by both internal and external factors, including increased shipment volume, operational errors, system disruptions, adverse weather conditions, and traffic congestion. To address these challenges, the company implements leadership communication strategies that emphasize prompt responses, transparency, consistent communication, and accountability through internal coordination and effective communication with customers. In addition, the company conducts evaluations of the causes of crises and improves operational procedures to enhance the effectiveness of crisis management. The implementation of these communication strategies contributes to maintaining and restoring customer trust in the services provided by J&T Express Limo Branch, Depok City.

Abstract

Floods are among the most frequent disasters in regions with high rainfall, including Bogor Regency, creating a need for a system capable of predicting rising water levels early enough for preventive measures to be taken. This study applies the Random Forest Regression algorithm to predict the water level (TMA) one hour ahead using historical hydrological data from the Batu Beulah Water Level Monitoring Station, Bogor, comprising water level, rainfall, and discharge derived from a rating curve, and integrates the resulting model into a Next.js-based web application. Unlike locally run machine learning programs accessible only to technical users, the developed system separates the prediction service (FastAPI) from the web interface so that the output can be used by two actors, namely the station administrator and the general public. The dataset consists of 7,817 hourly records collected throughout 2024 with 31 input features, split chronologically into training, validation, and testing sets with a 70:15:15 ratio to avoid data leakage. The model was trained with 300 decision trees and evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and the coefficient of determination (R²), and compared against a persistence baseline. Testing results show an MAE of 0.0957 m, an RMSE of 0.2137 m, and an R² of 0.7918, with RMSE and R² outperforming the baseline. Current water level, calculated discharge, and the three-hour rolling mean of water level were the most influential features. Black Box and White Box testing confirmed that the system's core functions, including login, data management, prediction execution, and the display of Safe/Alert/Danger warning status, operate as intended.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped educational practices, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE). Although instructional technology is increasingly adopted, its implementation in Islamic schools remains challenged by disparities in teachers' digital competence, limited infrastructure, and insufficient alignment between technology, pedagogy, and Islamic values. Previous studies have predominantly examined the effectiveness of specific digital media using quantitative approaches, leaving limited understanding of how instructional technology is comprehensively integrated into IRE learning. This study aims to analyze the forms of instructional technology integration, its contribution to students' learning outcomes, and the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its implementation at MTs Miftahul Ulum Denpasar. A qualitative case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña involving data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that instructional technology integration is implemented systematically through instructional planning, classroom implementation, and learning evaluation by utilizing digital media aligned with Islamic Religious Education content and learners' characteristics. The integration contributes to improved cognitive achievement, student engagement, digital literacy, and religious character development. Furthermore, this study proposes the Islamic Value-Based Instructional Technology Integration (IVBITI) model, integrating digital leadership, teachers' technological pedagogical competence, Islamic instructional design, meaningful digital learning experiences, and continuous improvement cycles. The proposed model contributes theoretically to Islamic educational technology and provides a practical framework for Islamic schools in designing effective technology-enhanced Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Arabic speaking proficiency is difficult to develop when instruction separates meaningful exposure from opportunities to use the language. This study critically synthesizes Krashen’s Input Hypothesis and Swain’s Output Hypothesis to formulate an integrative explanation of Arabic speaking development. It employed library research through an integrative literature review and thematic-comparative analysis. Fifty candidate journal articles were bibliographically audited; thirty-seven met the final relevance criteria and were included, comprising thirty-four studies directly related to Arabic speaking and three supporting second-language acquisition studies. Foundational and methodological works were examined separately. The synthesis indicates that comprehensible input supplies phonological, lexical, grammatical, pragmatic, and discourse resources, while a supportive affective climate increases the likelihood that such input is processed. Input alone, however, does not guarantee productive competence. Pushed output can prompt retrieval, gap detection, hypothesis testing, negotiation of meaning, and response to corrective feedback. These mechanisms may support fluency, accuracy, complexity, pronunciation, and lexical access when output is preceded by adequate input and followed by opportunities for repair and modified production. The proposed framework is cyclical: comprehensible input supports interaction; interaction creates a need for output; output generates noticing and feedback; and modified output identifies subsequent input needs. For Arabic instruction, the framework implies graded input, rehearsal, progressively demanding speaking tasks, selective feedback, functional language environments, and multidimensional assessment. Empirical and longitudinal testing remains necessary across proficiency levels and Arabic varieties.

Abstract

The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (generative AI) has created new opportunities to enhance the quality of learning in elementary schools, particularly in fostering students’ creative thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the implementation of generative AI through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The review followed the PRISMA guidelines, including identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and article inclusion. Literature was collected from Google Scholar, focusing on publications from 2025–2026. Of the 23 articles identified, 21 met the inclusion criteria, comprising 14 primary studies and 7 supporting studies. The findings indicate that generative AI promotes creative thinking through instructional approaches such as project-based learning, game-based learning, STEM, contextual teaching and learning, and digital scaffolding. In addition, generative AI enhances student engagement, conceptual understanding, and teachers’ instructional efficiency. However, its implementation is still challenged by limited teachers’ digital literacy, inadequate technological infrastructure, and the need for continuous professional development. Therefore, pedagogically appropriate integration of generative AI is essential to support innovative learning and the development of twenty-first-century competencies in elementary education.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning activeness in mathematics among second-grade students at SD Negeri Kebonwaru, characterized by a lack of student participation in the learning process. This study aimed to determine the influence of the Snowball Throwing learning model on the mathematics learning activeness of second-grade students at SD Negeri Kebonwaru. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The research design used was the Nonequivalent Control Group Design, involving an experimental group and a control group. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires and student learning activeness observation sheets, which were developed based on learning activeness indicators. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis and the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that the average learning activeness score of the experimental group increased from 3.21 in the pre-test to 3.68 in the post-test, categorized as highly active. Meanwhile, the control group experienced a decrease from 2.99 to 2.59. The Mann-Whitney test results on the post-test data yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that H_0 was rejected and H_a was accepted. Therefore, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group after the treatment. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Snowball Throwing learning model significantly influences the mathematics learning activeness of second-grade students at SD Negeri Kebonwaru. This learning model can be used as an alternative instructional strategy capable of enhancing student activeness through questioning, discussing, and collaborating in the learning process.
