Abstract

The assessment of responsibility in elementary school students tends to be subjective and lacks a foundation in observable behavioral indicators. Therefore, this study aims to describe the use of safe behavior indicators to measure student responsibility at SDN Kebalen 07. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method and a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the school principal, three classroom teachers (Grades IV, V, and VI), and six students. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that safe behavior indicators are effective for measuring student responsibility across five key aspects: adherence to safety rules, awareness of personal safety, responsibility toward the environment, concern for the safety of peers, and consistency in practicing safe behavior. These five indicators are evident in students' daily activities, such as complying with school regulations, maintaining environmental cleanliness, using school facilities responsibly, and reminding peers to behave safely. Thus, safe behavior can serve as an objective, contextual, and applicable indicator for measuring student responsibility and supporting character assessment in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the moral intelligence of students and the role of guidance and counseling in developing it among eleventh-grade students of the Agribusiness Crop Production Program (AT-2) at SMK Negeri 1 Cugenang. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire covering seven moral intelligence indicators, namely empathy, conscience, self-control, respect, responsibility, honesty, and justice, supported by observation and documentation. Twenty-four students took part as respondents, and one representative response was analyzed in depth to illustrate the descriptive qualitative pattern found among the participants. The results show that the students' overall moral intelligence falls into the high category, with a mean score of 3.90; conscience was the strongest indicator (5.00), while self-control was the weakest (3.33). The perceived role of guidance and counseling in developing moral intelligence falls into the moderate category, with a mean score of 3.17, indicating that counseling services, although present, have not been fully optimized. The study recommends strengthening group guidance and individual counseling that specifically target self-control, consistency in responsibility, and the courage to practice honesty in challenging situations.

Abstract

This study had three objectives. First, to describe the poetry writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Adabiah Padang before the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by series picture media. Second, to describe the poetry writing skills of the students after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by series picture media. Third, to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning model assisted by series picture media on the poetry writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Adabiah Padang. This research was motivated by the low level of students' poetry writing skills, particularly in determining themes, selecting appropriate diction, arranging rhyme and rhythm, and developing the depth of meaning in poetry. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students of SMP Adabiah Padang in the 2025/2026 academic year, totaling 109 students. The sample comprised 36 students from Class VIII.2, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a performance test in poetry writing. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results showed that the students' poetry writing skills before the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by series picture media obtained a mean score of 43.92, which was categorized as Poor. After the implementation of the model, the mean score increased to 80.90, which was categorized as Good. The results of the hypothesis test indicated that the calculated t-value (t₍count₎) was greater than the critical t-value (t₍table₎) at the 0.05 significance level. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected. It can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model assisted by series picture media had a significant positive effect on the poetry writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Adabiah Padang.

Abstract

This study examined the impact of poster-assisted Project-Based Learning on students’ learning creativity in Pancasila Education. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The population comprised 202 eighth-grade students at SMPN 2 Kuripan. The sample included 68 students selected through purposive sampling, with 34 students assigned to the experimental class and 34 to the control class. The experimental class participated in project-based learning activities that produced posters, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected using a 47-item learning creativity questionnaire that met validity requirements and achieved a Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.912. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and Analysis of Covariance, with pretest scores treated as the covariate. The experimental class mean increased from 68.78 to 86.59, whereas the control class mean increased from 64.72 to 69.83. ANCOVA results indicated a significant difference between the groups after controlling for ability, F(1,65)=87.722, p<0.001, with a partial eta squared of 0.574. These findings demonstrate that poster-assisted Project-Based Learning enhances learning creativity through idea exploration, collaboration, concept visualization, project completion, and presentation of work. This model supports active, creative, contextual, sustainable, and student-centered Pancasila Education for future learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between conformity and impulsive buying behavior through TikTok Shop among university students in Medan City. The development of social media integrated with e-commerce services has transformed consumer behavior patterns, particularly among university students. Various features available on TikTok Shop, such as promotions, discounts, live shopping, and product recommendations, may encourage impulsive buying behavior. In addition, social pressure from peer groups through conformity is assumed to influence students' tendency to make unplanned purchases. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The research population consisted of university students in Medan City who use TikTok and have made purchases through TikTok Shop. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a total sample of 349 respondents. Data were collected using Likert-type psychological scales, namely the Conformity Scale based on the aspects proposed by Taylor, Peplau, and Sears (2009), and the Impulsive Buying Scale based on the aspects proposed by Verplanken and Herabadi (2001). The data were analyzed using correlation analysis to examine the relationship between the two variables. The research hypothesis states that there is a positive relationship between conformity and impulsive buying behavior through TikTok Shop among university students in Medan City. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of social psychology and consumer psychology, as well as provide insights for university students to make wiser purchasing decisions in the digital era.

Abstract

The development of independence during early childhood is a fundamental aspect of socio-emotional growth that is strongly influenced by both family and school environments. However, children from freelance worker families often experience limited parental assistance due to irregular working hours, unstable income, and demanding physical labor, resulting in inadequate stimulation of independent behavior. This study aims to analyze early childhood teachers' strategies in fostering children's independence, identify the forms of independence developed after pedagogical stimulation, and examine the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered during the implementation of these strategies. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach and case study, conducted at KB An Nur Sukosari Kidul, Bondowoso, Indonesia. The participants consisted of two teachers, forty children aged 3–6 years, and seven parents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through structured observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, while data credibility was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that teachers implemented six integrated pedagogical strategies: environmental conditioning, structured habituation, teacher modeling, positive reinforcement, persuasive instructional guidance, and continuous communication with parents. These strategies contributed to significant improvements in children's physical independence, psychological confidence, and responsibility in daily classroom activities, despite the limitations of family support. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of these strategies was influenced by parental consistency, socioeconomic conditions, and the intensity of school-family collaboration.

Abstract

The Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi campus is located on Jalan Sindang Sari, an area that serves as a hub for both local economic activity and higher education. However, high traffic volume causes congestion issues for students commuting to the campus. This study employs graph theory to determine the most efficient route—in terms of travel distance—from Jalan Raya Kembang Gading (Dusun Rejosari, RT 001/RW 002, Abung Selatan District, North Lampung Regency, Lampung Province) to the Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi campus (Jalan Hasan Kepala Ratu 1052, Sindangsari, Kotabumi, North Lampung). Dijkstra's algorithm is the specific method utilized for this research. The analysis demonstrates the utility of graph theory in identifying alternative routes, traffic congestion points, and capacity upgrade requirements, thereby providing a foundation for efficient and sustainable urban transportation planning decisions.

Abstract

This research is inspired by the phenomenon of esthetic and captivating language use in audiovisual content, particularly in the works of Fiersa Besari, which are often enjoyed visually without a deep understanding of their linguistic construction. Therefore, this research aims to describe the use of diction, language style, and imagery in the oral narration of the YouTube video "Ekspedisi Atap Negeri" Central Papua. The approach used is qualitative descriptive. Data were collected thru note-taking techniques on five episodes of the Puncak Jaya Mountain climbing series videos, selected using purposive sampling techniques, and validated with theoretical triangulation. The research findings revealed 176 diction data consisting of five types, with a dominance of foreign diction at 76.14%. Additionally, 74 data from nine types of stylistic devices were found, predominantly assonance, which is the repetition of words or vowel sounds in adjacent words or sentences, at a rate of 28.38%. The study also identified 24 data from five types of imagery, predominantly visual imagery at 41.67%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the oral narration in this video is functionally constructed using rich and poetic linguistic elements to deeply engage the audience's emotions. Theoretically, this research enriches the study of stylistics in digital literature. Practically, this digital literary work has proven to be relevant and highly effective as an innovative alternative learning medium for poetry text material for students, as well as bridging literary learning with contemporary digital literacy.
