Abstract

This article examines the actualization of the Pancasila principle of Just and Civilized Humanity in brown cane sugar production in Jorong Surau Lubuak, Nagari Tigo Balai, Matur District, Agam Regency, through an interdisciplinary perspective. The study employed descriptive qualitative field research. Primary data were collected directly by the research team from 19 December 2025 to 19 January 2026 through observation, structured interviews, and documentation involving producers, collectors or buyers, religious figures, and nagari officials. Official nagari documents were used as supporting data. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and triangulation of sources and techniques. The findings show that human values are reflected in the selection of suitable sugarcane, cleanliness of equipment and production sites, limited and disclosed use of natural additives, truthful product-quality information, accurate weighing, quality-based price adjustments, agreed profit-sharing, waste reuse, and smoke control. However, unequal access to production machinery, informal agreements, limited product documentation, and weak institutional support constrain consistent protection. Interdisciplinary analysis identifies complementary development pathways: civic education for ethical governance, information technology for records and traceability, English for product communication, sports education for occupational health and ergonomics, and art for visual identity and culturally grounded packaging. The study concludes that human values in the local economy require ethical conduct, appropriate technology, and accessible institutional support.

Abstract

Deep mastery of mathematical concepts serves as a critical foundation for students to solve various mathematical problems. However, empirical evidence at SD Negeri Tanah Merah indicates that the majority of fourth-grade studentsspecifically 12 out of 16 students (75%) have not achieved the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKTP) in fraction topics. This issue stems from the reliance on conventional instructional materials, where student worksheets predominantly feature brief summaries and mechanical drills without guiding structured reasoning. This study aims to develop, validate, evaluate the practicality, and analyze the effectiveness of a Problem Solving-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) focused on equivalent fractions. Applying a Research and Development (R&D) approach guided by the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the study involved 16 fourth-grade students. Data collection instruments comprised expert validation sheets, teacher and student feedback questionnaires, and mathematical comprehension tests (pretest and posttest). Quantitative descriptive analysis revealed that the developed LKPD achieved a validity score of 98.67% (highly valid), with practicality ratings of 97.5% from the teacher and 96.09% from students (highly practical). Furthermore, the effectiveness evaluation yielded an average N-Gain score of 0.85, classified in the high category. These findings demonstrate that the Problem Solving-based LKPD is highly effective and suitable as an innovative learning tool to enhance elementary students' mathematical understanding of equivalent fractions.

Abstract

Students who are blind require educational aids that cater to their specific learning characteristics, particularly by leveraging their sense of hearing. Observations and interviews at SLB PGRI Kalitidu revealed that support teachers rely on Braille books, verbal explanations, and YouTube audio content to teach science. These tools are not yet integrated into a single platform designed to meet the specific learning needs of visually impaired students. However, teachers noted that two students at the school (SDLB-A) possess good hearing abilities, making audio-based media a viable option for their learning activities. This study aimed to develop a web-based learning medium featuring audio named "SuaraEdu"—focused on the topic of herbivores, and to assess its suitability through expert validation and teacher feedback. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Participants included media experts, subject matter experts, and support teachers (as the end-users). Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, expert validation sheets, and teacher feedback questionnaires. The findings indicate that the media achieved a 92% suitability rating from media experts (categorized as "Highly Suitable"), a 97% rating from subject matter experts ("Highly Suitable"), and a 96% positive response from support teachers ("Excellent"). These results demonstrate that SuaraEdu is a suitable and practical tool for teaching about herbivores at SLB PGRI Kalitidu.
