Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Student well-being is a fundamental component in building a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that promotes holistic student development. However, observations at SMP Negeri 4 Pemalang indicate that the principal’s leadership still tends to be administrative and has yet to fully embrace a transformational approach focused on enhancing student well-being. This study aims to formulate a strategic model of transformational leadership by the school principal in fostering student well-being. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive model. The findings reveal that the principal has demonstrated two of the four core dimensions of transformational leadership—idealized influence and inspirational motivation—but has not yet fully developed the aspects of individualized consideration and intellectual stimulation. Quantitative data from student perception surveys show that emotional support received the lowest average score (2.9) compared to academic engagement (3.3) and learning comfort (3.2), indicating the need for a stronger psychosocial support system within the school. The study concludes that while a foundation for transformational leadership has been established, a broader strategic effort is needed—one that includes structured emotional support programs, capacity building for teachers, and active parental involvement. Such efforts are essential to realizing a school environment that not only educates but also nurtures student well-being in a sustainable and human-centered manner.

This study aims to describe the forms of directive speech acts and their strategies found in the film The Phone That Never Rang. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data, consisting of characters' utterances in the film that contain directive speech acts, were collected using observation and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was conducted by identifying, classifying, and describing the forms and strategies of speech acts based on pragmatic theory. The results of the study show that the film contains various forms of directive speech acts such as requests, commands, and invitations. The strategies used include direct and indirect strategies, adapted to the context of the utterances and the relationships between characters. These findings indicate that directive speech acts play an important role in developing the storyline and character depiction in the film.

ABSTRAK This study examines the implementation of the "Learning with Nature" (Belajar Bersama Alam/BBA) method at SD Alam Lampung as a holistic educational approach that instills ecological-based leadership values. By integrating thematic learning, environmental exploration, and Islamic spiritual values, BBA shapes students' character as stewards (khalifah) of the Earth who are responsible for environmental sustainability. This concept is manifested through practical activities such as gardening, waste management, and outdoor learning, supported by the design of an environmentally friendly (green) school. The role of teachers as facilitators and the involvement of parents further strengthen the sustainable educational ecosystem. Interviews reveal that the BBA method is effective in fostering early leadership development in children with a strong ecological awareness, in line with the goals of character education and sustainability. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI), khususnya ChatGPT, dalam penulisan karya ilmiah oleh mahasiswa, serta dampaknya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi pustaka dan wawancara terhadap mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Makassar, diperoleh data tentang pola penggunaan AI dan persepsi terhadap kontribusinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AI paling sering digunakan untuk menyusun kerangka tulisan, parafrase, dan memeriksa tata bahasa. Meskipun AI memberikan efisiensi teknis, kualitas tulisan yang melibatkan AI masih dipertanyakan dari segi keaslian, kedalaman analisis, dan keterkaitan gagasan. Di sisi lain, penggunaan AI secara bijak dapat mendorong pengembangan berpikir kritis dan kreativitas, sementara ketergantungan yang berlebihan berpotensi mengurangi kemampuan berpikir mandiri. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan seimbang dalam penggunaan AI agar integritas akademik tetap terjaga, sekaligus mendukung proses belajar yang bermakna.

Artikel ini membahas kesalahan berbahasa yang terjadi di media massa dan dampaknya terhadap pemahaman publik. Dalam era digital, bahasa berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi penting, tetapi penggunaan bahasa yang salah di platform media sosial seringkali menimbulkan kesalahpahaman. Berbagai jenis kesalahan seperti kesalahan ejaan, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik dapat merusak kredibilitas pesan serta menghalangi masyarakat dalam memahami informasi yang disampaikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk mengidentifikasi, mendeskripsikan, dan mengklasifikasi kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa tersebut serta menawarkan solusi dan strategi untuk mengurangi kesalahan berbahasa di media massa.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan karakteristik tokoh utama dalam film Finding Nemo dan mengetahui hal-hal atau peristiwa yang menggambarkan karakter tersebut. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa gambar dan narasi yang diambil dari film. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti menganalisis film ini secara mendalam mengenai peristiwa-peristiwa yang menonjolkan karakterisasi tokoh dalam film Finding Nemo sebagai medium narasi yang kaya akan pesan moral dan emosional, khususnya pada film Finding Nemo. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa karakteristik tokoh utama, yaitu Marlin dan Nemo, tercermin melalui berbagai peristiwa yang dialami sepanjang film. Marlin digambarkan sebagai tokoh yang protektif, penuh kecemasan, namun memiliki keberanian yang tumbuh seiring cerita, sedangkan Nemo menunjukkan karakteristik keberanian, kemandirian, dan semangat belajar yang tinggi. Peristiwa-peristiwa seperti usaha Marlin dalam mencari Nemo di lautan luas dan perjuangan Nemo untuk membuktikan kemampuannya menggambarkan dinamika hubungan ayah dan anak yang kompleks dan penuh kasih sayang. Selain itu, analisis juga menunjukkan bagaimana interaksi dengan tokoh-tokoh lain, seperti Dory yang ceria dan optimistis, turut memengaruhi perkembangan karakter utama dalam menghadapi tantangan. Pesan-pesan moral yang ditonjolkan dalam film ini, seperti pentingnya keberanian, kepercayaan, dan nilai persahabatan, berhasil disampaikan melalui narasi dan visual yang kuat. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam kajian naratif film animasi serta pemahaman lebih mendalam mengenai cara film menyampaikan pesan-pesan penting kepada penonton.

Civic Education has an important role in shaping students' character and responsibility from an early age. However, facts in the field show that Civics learning in elementary schools is still centered on the teacher and does not involve active student interaction, exacerbated by the limitations of interactive learning media. As a result, students become less enthusiastic and unmotivated in the learning process. Along with technological developments, teachers are required to be more innovative in using digital media to create fun and effective learning. This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on microsite as an innovative solution in delivering material “Obey the Rules” for grade II elementary school students. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the Richey & Klein development model consisting of four main stages: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were a class teacher and 25 grade II students at Negeri Ngajum Elementary School, Malang Regency. The development process includes needs analysis through observation, content and media design, development of interactive appearance and features, and product evaluation by material experts and media experts. The validation instrument was used to assess the feasibility of the media from the content and technical aspects. The validation results showed that the microsite learning media was rated “very feasible” by both validators with an assessment score in the high category. Thus, this microsite media is proven to be valid and potential as an interactive tool to improve the quality of Civics learning in elementary schools.

This study aims to develop Flipbook-assisted digital comic media for the Pancasila Education subject in elementary schools, validated by material and media experts, and assessed through student and teacher response questionnaires. The method used is Research & Development (ADDIE model), consisting of five stages: analysis of learning needs and problems, storyboard design, development of digital comic media using Flipbook, Implementation through trials with second-grade students at SDN Klenang Lor 1, Probolinggo Regency, Evaluation based on validator feedback. The needs analysis revealed that second-grade students struggle to understand abstract concepts and quickly become bored with conventional text- and lecture-based teaching methods. Therefore, there is a need for interactive learning media that suits student characteristics.The developed digital comic media was validated by material experts with an average score of 84.61% and by media experts with a score of 80.88%, both categorized as "very feasible." The research results show that the use of this media can enhance student engagement and help them better understand the values of Pancasila. In conclusion, Flipbook-assisted digital comic media is an innovative and effective solution to support Pancasila Education learning at the elementary level, particularly in helping students understand the material in a more engaging and enjoyable way.

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Jeruk 1 Surabaya through the implementation of Big Book media. The study was conducted in two cycles involving 23 students as research subjects. The research method employed the Kemmis and McTaggart CAR model, consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities, as well as reading comprehension tests, and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results demonstrated significant improvement in students' reading comprehension. In Cycle I, the classical mastery level reached 60.8% with an average score of 66.8, while in Cycle II, it increased to 82.6% with an average score of 77.6. This improvement was supported by enhanced learning activities, including more interactive use of Big Book media, increased student participation, and better summarization skills. Observations also revealed heightened student interest and motivation, with the majority showing enthusiasm and engagement in collaborative reading activities. The study concludes that Big Book media is effective in enhancing elementary students' reading comprehension. Its strengths lie in its visually appealing design and enjoyable learning approach, which create a meaningful classroom atmosphere. This research contributes significantly to the development of literacy teaching methods, particularly in addressing reading comprehension difficulties at the elementary level. The study recommends broader implementation of Big Book media in Indonesian language instruction.

This research is motivated by the low utilization of interactive and engaging technology-based learning media in elementary schools, particularly in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). The aim of this study is to develop a Wordwall-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) for the topic of Biodiversity for Grade V students in elementary school. The development of this LKPD employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The worksheet was designed to be engaging and interactive by utilizing various features available in the Wordwall application, thereby increasing students’ motivation, involvement, and comprehension during the learning process. The validity of the LKPD was tested by three experts: subject matter expert, language expert, and media expert. The validation results showed that the LKPD received a score of 97.5% from the subject matter expert, 95% from the language expert, and 95% from the media expert. The overall average validation score was 95.8%, which falls under the “valid” category. These results indicate that the developed Wordwall-based LKPD meets the feasibility standards and is suitable for use in classroom learning. Therefore, this developed product is considered appropriate for further field trials and has the potential to serve as an innovative, enjoyable, easily accessible learning media alternative that aligns with students’ learning needs in the evolving digital era.
