Abstract

The objective of this research is to design an instructional tool in the form of flashcards that supports the enhancement of formal oral communication skills among second-grade primary school learners. The main issue addressed is the students’ low mastery of standard vocabulary, which affects their ability to express ideas orally using appropriate formal language. This research utilized a The Research and Development (R&D) approach was carried out following the ADDIE model, which consists of five key stages: analyzing needs, designing the product, developing materials, applying them in real settings, and conducting evaluations. The participants in this study were 32 students enrolled in the second grade. from SD Negeri Salamsari. Instruments included expert validation sheets, pretest and posttest questions, student and teacher response questionnaires, and interview guidelines. Validation results showed that the media was feasible, with material validation scoring 80% and media validation scoring 90%. The flashcard product, named FLASIFA (Flashcard of Adjective Vocabulary), significantly improved learning outcomes, with pretest and posttest average scores of 42.84 and 87.31, respectively. Findings from the paired sample t-test demonstrated a meaningful statistical distinction between the compared data sets, while the N-Gain value of 0.7865 was classified as high. Both teachers and students expressed highly favorable responses toward the use of the media. were also highly positive. Thus, FLASIFA is proven to be a feasible and effective medium to enhance standard speaking skills among second-grade elementary students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Magic Box learning media on the mathematics learning outcomes of second-grade students at SD N 35 Palembang in the subject of vertical addition. This research is a quantitative study that uses the quasi-experimental method. It was conducted at SD N 35 Palembang. Data collection techniques included tests and documentation. The study was carried out in class II A, which had 25 students as the experimental class, and class II B, which had 25 students as the control class. The instrument used was an essay question consisting of 10 items. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the Magic Box media on the learning outcomes of second-grade students at SD N 35 Palembang in addition, with a calculated t-value (3.418) > table t-value (0.1677) and a sig value (0.001) < (0.05). In accordance with the hypothesis testing, if the calculated t-value is greater than the table t-value, then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the Picture And Picture learning model has an effect on students' interest in learning IPAS at SD N 35 Palembang. This study is a quantitative research using the Quasy Experiment method. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and documentation. The study was conducted on class 5A, consisting of 25 students as the experimental group, and class 5C, consisting of 28 students as the control group. The instrument used was a questionnaire comprising 20 statements. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the Picture and Picture learning model on students' interest in learning the IPAS subject at SD N 35 Palembang, with a calculated t-value (4.165) > table t-value (1.676) and a significance level (0.000) < (0.05). Consistent with the hypothesis testing, if the calculated t-value is greater than the table t-value, then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted

Abstract

Low reading interest among elementary school students presents a significant challenge to developing a culture of literacy, a problem also observed at SDN Blotongan 02 Salatiga. Despite the implementation of literacy programs, such as designated reading corners, many students continue to exhibit low engagement in reading activities. This study aimed to evaluate the literacy program in the fifth grade of SDN Blotongan 02 Salatiga using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involved the principal, a class teacher, and three fifth-grade students as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (Context) the literacy program was well-motivated by the need to improve the school's literacy culture and was supported by a conducive environment. (Input) Facilities such as reading corners were available, and teachers served as active facilitators, although time allocation remained a limitation. (Process) Literacy activities were conducted routinely, including silent reading, storytelling, and discussions, but the evaluation of writing skills was not optimal. (Product) While there was a noticeable increase in students' reading and speaking skills, their writing skills did not develop as significantly. This evaluation provides a foundation for strengthening and improving the literacy program in the future.

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan media Pop-Up Book terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V di SDN Ngadirejo 03. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 14 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan media Pop-Up Book. Rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 68,8 (pretest) menjadi 79,42 (posttest). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model Discovery Learning berbantuan Pop-Up Book efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V dalam materi keanekaragaman hayati persebaran flora dan fauna di Indonesia di SDN Ngadirejo 03. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian One Group Pre-Test - Post-Test. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 14 siswa, yang diambil melalui teknik sampling jenuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada nilai rata rata siswa, dari 62,85 pada pretest menjadi 83,57 pada posttest. Nilai tertinggi juga mengalami kenaikan, sedangkan nilai terendah menunjukkan perbaikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwasanya penerapan PBL dengan media Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi keanekaragaman flora dan fauna. Hasil ini menggarisbawahi perlunya integrasi media interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV di SDN Girikerto 1 dengan menerapkan pendekatan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) pada pembelajaran IPAS dalam topik Kekayaan Budaya Indonesia. Masalah utama yang ditemukan yaitu rendahnya pemahaman siswa kepada materi, yang disebabkan oleh dominasi metode ceramah serta rendahnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik. Penelitian ini mempergunakan pendekatan gabungan kualitatif serta kuantitatif, mempergunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan melalui 2 siklus. Tiap-tiap siklusnya meliputi beberapa tahapan, di antaranya perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, serta refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini mencakup 11 siswa kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan observasi. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwasanya terjadi kenaikan yang signifikan dari hasil belajar siswa, awal tingkat ketuntasan 27% di tahap prasiklus, naik jadi 55% di siklus I, serta 82% di siklus II. Nilai rata-rata siswa juga terjadi peningkatan dari 65 di prasiklus menjadi 81,8 di siklus II. Penerapan model CTL yang didukung dengan media gambar terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi aktif, serta hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPAS terkait materi Kekayaan Budaya Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Kanigoro pada mata pelajaran IPAS, khususnya materi Keberagaman Budaya di Indonesia. Proses pembelajaran yang masih didominasi oleh metode ceramah tanpa media pendukung menyebabkan siswa kurang antusias dan sulit memahami materi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang didukung media pop up book digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dalam bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 12 siswa kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan siklus II. Pada pra siklus, hanya 2 siswa (16,67%) yang mencapai KKM. Setelah penerapan PBL pada siklus I, jumlah siswa yang tuntas meningkat menjadi 7 siswa (58,33%). Pada siklus II setelah perbaikan media pembelajaran dengan pop up book digital, ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 10 siswa (83,33%). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbantuan media pop up book digital efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Dengan demikian, strategi pembelajaran ini layak dijadikan alternatif dalam proses pembelajaran IPAS, terutama dalam materi yang bersifat visual dan kontekstual.

Abstract

This research and development aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the interactive multimedia Scrapbook material explaining informative texts for fourth grade students of SDN Tarokan 3. This study uses a research and development method with the ADDIE model consisting of stages (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The subjects of this study were teachers and 41 fourth grade students of SDN Tarokan 3. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the validity test obtained a material expert score of 80% and a media expert score of 88%. The average value of the validation results is 84% ​​with very valid criteria. The results of the practicality test obtained a teacher response score of 90% and an average student response score of 91.5%. Both values ​​can be accumulated to 90.75%, with very practical criteria. The results of the effectiveness test showed a posttest score of 11 students in the limited trial of 88% and a score of 30 students in the extensive trial of 89%. Both scores were accumulated to 88.5%, with very effective criteria. It can be concluded that the interactive multimedia Scrapbook of informative text material developed for class IV SDN Tarokan 3 is stated to be very valid, very practical, and very effective for use in classroom learning. Interactive multimedia Scrapbook can increase students' enthusiasm for learning and can have an effect on improving student learning outcomes in the material explaining informative texts

Abstract

This study aims to test the validity of SMOSIS (Smart Monopoly Symbiosis), an active and effective learning medium developed to improve students' critical thinking skills. The SMOSIS (Smart Monopoly Symbiosis) medium is inspired by the Monopoly game and has been developed into a creative and innovative learning medium, making it engaging and challenging for students while helping them create a learning environment that is not boring and fostering their critical thinking skills. Validation was conducted by two experts, namely a subject matter expert and a media expert, using a Likert scale-based assessment instrument. This research is a development study with a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection techniques include interview sheets, observations, questionnaire sheets, test sheets, and validation sheets. The validation results by the subject matter expert showed a score of 90% (very valid category), and the media expert obtained a score of 83.75% (very valid category). The overall average validation score for the SMOSIS (Smart Monopoly Symbiosis) media is 86.87%, indicating that this media falls into the ‘highly valid’ category and is suitable for use in the learning process. Thus, the SMOSIS (Smart Monopoly Symbiosis) media has been proven to meet the criteria for content, presentation, and technical aspects and has great potential to support the development of critical thinking skills among students. This finding is expected to serve as a foundation for further development and implementation of creative and innovative media in primary school education.
