Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) using crossword puzzle media (TTS) in the IPAS (Integrated Natural Science and Social Studies) lessons for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Alasombo 02. The research used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving both teachers and students. The findings indicate that the TGT model with TTS media successfully created an active and engaging learning environment. The lesson began with a conducive opening, followed by material delivery using interesting PowerPoint slides, and ended with a TGT crossword puzzle tournament. This approach successfully enhanced student engagement in actively and collaboratively understanding the material. Although there were some challenges, such as limited time and technical issues with the projector, overall, this model encouraged students to actively participate, improved their understanding of the material, and developed their social skills and enthusiasm for learning. The provision of rewards further strengthened student motivation. The TGT model with TTS proved effective in creating meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the academic supervision process carried out by the principal in an effort to improve teacher competence at SMA IT Cordova 3 Tangerang. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research highlights four main aspects of academic supervision: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were thematically analyzed using triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the supervision planning was systematically designed and oriented toward teachers’ needs, although there were still challenges in explicitly integrating spiritual aspects and the integrated Islamic context. The implementation of supervision reflected a reflective and dialogical approach, although it has not been fully optimized in the use of technology and differentiation of approaches based on teachers’ characteristics. Evaluation was conducted participatively, but has not yet fully impacted practice changes due to limitations in systematic reflection and follow-up. The follow-up of supervision, although not yet fully structured, has begun to be directed toward community-based professional development strategies and the individual needs of teachers. This study concludes that the effectiveness of academic supervision is greatly influenced by the principal’s leadership quality as a learning facilitator and professional coach. These findings are expected to serve as a reference in developing a contextual, humanistic, and transformative model of academic supervision in integrated Islamic schools. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of academic supervision conducted by supervisors in improving the competence of the principal of MTs Negeri 1 Bandung. The research focuses on four main aspects: supervision planning, supervision implementation, supervision evaluation, and follow-up supervision. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that although academic supervision is carried out with the goal of enhancing the principal’s competence, shortcomings remain in the planning and implementation, which tend to focus more on administrative aspects rather than on developing the principal’s academic leadership competence. Similarly, the evaluation and follow-up of supervision are more concerned with document completeness than with improving the quality of academic leadership. This study recommends adopting a more needs-based, collaborative, and reflective approach to supervision to increase its effectiveness and support the professional development of the principal. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at the Republic of Indonesia Defense University (Unhan), focusing on the planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up actions carried out by the university to improve the quality of education. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of SPMI at Unhan and to identify the challenges encountered at each stage. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, using interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of the study show that although Unhan has demonstrated a strong commitment to planning and implementing the SPMI, several obstacles remain, such as limited resources, lack of stakeholder involvement, and challenges in developing a competency-based curriculum and teaching. Evaluation and follow-up actions were also found to be less effective, as they tended to focus more on administrative aspects rather than academic development. Therefore, this study suggests that the university improve stakeholder engagement, enhance resource management, and optimize outcome-based evaluation and follow-up actions to sustainably improve the quality of education. Abstract

In mathematics study, problem solving is an activity that plays an important role when learning mathematics. In the process of learning mathematics, it is important to apply models, methods and media that are appropriate to students' needs to support more interesting and easy-to-understand learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Guided Inquiry learning model assisted by ANVIPI media on the problem-solving abilities of fourth grade elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, the population in this study were students of SDN Susukan 01 and the sample in this study was class IV A as the experimental class while class IV B as the control class. Data collection techniques were in the form of tests and non-tests. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. The average posttest score of the experimental group (75.64) was higher than the control class (72.79). The results of the Paired Sample T-test analysis showed a significance value of 0.00 <0.05, with the average pretest and posttest results of the experimental class showing 67.42 and 72.79. Therefore, it can be seen that there is an average increase between the pretest results and the posttest results of 5.37. This shows that the Guided Inquiry learning model has increased students' problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the academic supervision process carried out by supervisors in improving the competencies of kindergarten principals at Legokjawa Pangandaran. The focus of this research includes four main aspects: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of academic supervision by the supervisors. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of academic supervision activities conducted at the school. The results of the study show that academic supervision was conducted systematically and collaboratively. Supervision planning was developed based on needs analysis and carried out together with the principals, taking into account the school context and previous evaluation results. Supervision implementation was conducted intensively and oriented toward professional development rather than mere assessment, using dialogical and reflective approaches. Supervision evaluation was carried out comprehensively and served as a means for principals to engage in self-assessment and improve their performance. Follow-up actions were conducted continuously through guidance, monitoring, and reinforcement of the principals’ programs, thus directly contributing to enhancing principals’ competencies in instructional and managerial leadership. The study concludes that academic supervision carried out in a planned, participatory, and continuous manner can serve as a strategic instrument to improve the professional capacity of principals, particularly in the context of early childhood education institutions. Abstract

The study aims to determine the implementation of Civics learning material "Relationship between Symbols and Precepts of Pancasila" and to determine the application of Pancasila values in class IV students of SD Negeri 272 Maluku Tengah. This research uses qualitative research. The sources of research data are fourth grade teachers and students. Primary data is the result of observation, interviews and secondary data comes from the results of photo documentation when taking data. The data collection techniques used are observation, and interviews. The data validity test technique used uses data collection techniques and data sources. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that Civics learning material on the relationship between symbols and precepts of Pancasila went well and learning took place actively. From the average results 19 students or 80% of students have implemented the value of Pancasila from the first to the fifth precept but there are still some values in its implementation that are not maximized, especially indicators. In the indicator of daring to express opinions in the value of deliberation and representation, it has not been implemented optimally because students are not confident with themselves and are afraid of being wrong if their opinions are not correct.

Abstract

Proposal penelitian ini membahas tantangan pendidikan yang mendesak: pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang tidak optimal di kalangan siswa kelas 5 dalam pembelajaran IPAS (IPA dan IPS) di SDN Cijoho. Pengamatan mengungkapkan kecenderungan kepasifan siswa yang memprihatinkan, ketergantungan pada hafalan, dan keengganan untuk terlibat secara aktif melalui pertanyaan atau mengungkapkan pendapat yang tepat. Kekurangan ini sangat penting dalam IPAS, subjek yang menuntut penalaran analitis dan pemecahan masalah untuk memahami fenomena sosial dan ilmiah yang kompleks. Studi ini dirancang khusus untuk menyelidiki implementasi praktis model Pengajaran Timbal balik dalam lingkungan belajar ini dan, yang terpenting, untuk memastikan efeknya yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi berpikir kritis siswa. Mengadopsi pendekatan kuantitatif yang ketat, penelitian ini menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen kuasi-eksperimental. Pengumpulan data terutama akan bergantung pada instrumen pretest dan posttest yang komprehensif untuk mengukur perubahan dalam pemikiran kritis, dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi menyeluruh. Analisis data selanjutnya akan menggunakan uji-t sampel independen untuk mengevaluasi dampak model secara statistik dan membandingkan hasil antara kelompok eksperimental dan kontrol. Sangat dihipotesiskan bahwa penerapan strategis model Pengajaran Timbal Balik akan mengarah pada peningkatan substansial dan signifikan secara statistik dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa selama pembelajaran IPAS. Hasil positif yang diantisipasi ini diharapkan dapat menawarkan wawasan berharga dan berkontribusi secara signifikan pada upaya berkelanjutan dalam mengembangkan strategi instruksional yang lebih efektif dan menarik dalam pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

  This research aims to address the lack of engagement in learning activities in a specific elementary school classroom by developing interactive learning media. The focus of this study is to create an application-based interactive multimedia on the topic of the human digestive system for fifth grade students. The research follows the R&D approach with the ADDIE model, involving analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data was collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The developed media was validated by experts in the field, and a trial was conducted with 21 students. The results showed high percentages of validation and trial success, media validation that have been carried out obtained a percentage of 96%, 100% language validation, and 85% material validation, with 93% overall average, indicating that the developed interactive multimedia is highly suitable for learning activities and considered "very worthy" by the participants. Thus, it can be concluded that the smart apps creator application is an effective tool for engaging students in learning about the human digestive system.
