Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop Pop Up Book media on animal metamorphosis in IPAS learning that is feasible and effective to increase students' interest and learning outcomes. This research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). This Pop Up Book learning media has gone through several stages of testing, such as product validity tests, feasibility tests, and media effectiveness tests. The subjects of this study amounted to 26 fourth grade students. This study shows the results of validation testing by media experts with an average percentage of 98% and the results of validation testing by material experts with an average of 93%, so that the results of media and material expert validation testing are categorized as feasible, not revised. The results of the average pre test of 65 and the average post test of 76.5 show an increase as well as the results of the average percentage of interest questionnaires before treatment 67% and for the percentage of interest questionnaires after treatment 79%. So it can be said that this Pop Up Book media is feasible and effective to use for learning.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of learning motivation and students' perceptions of teacher performance on the learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among fourth-grade students at SDN Kebon Bawang Complex, Tanjung Priok. The research method used is quantitative, with a sample of 101 students from SDN Kebon Bawang 3 and SDN Kebon Bawang 7. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple and multiple regression. The results showed that learning motivation has a significant positive impact on students' IPAS learning outcomes (Y = 0.336X1 + 53.380, rx1y = 0.320, r2x1y = 0.102). Additionally, students' perceptions of teacher performance also positively contribute to IPAS learning outcomes (Y = 0.340X2 + 56.694, rx2y = 0.316, r2x2y = 0.100). Together, learning motivation and students' perceptions of teacher performance have a significant impact on IPAS learning outcomes (Y = 0.308X1 + 0.310X2 + 37.361, Ry (1,2) = 0.430, R2y (1,2) = 0.185). Based on the data analysis results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning motivation and students' perceptions of teacher performance on the IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Kebon Bawang Complex, Tanjung Priok. These findings underscore the importance of considering learning motivation and students' perceptions of teacher performance in efforts to improve IPAS learning outcomes. The implications of this research can be used as a basis for developing more effective teaching strategies in elementary schools, particularly in the context of IPAS learning for fourth-grade students.

Abstract

There is a need for innovation in science learning that can facilitate and improve science process skills, especially understanding, skills, and the ability to make projects that produce products in order to hone students' creative thinking skills with the STEM-based PjBL model. The research was conducted to determine the effect of the STEM-based Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model on the creative thinking skills of elementary school students. In this study using a type of quantitative research with pre-experimental design method type one group pre-test post-test design. The number of samples in this study were 20 students. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The results of this study indicate the influence of the STEM-based project-based learning model on the creative thinking skills of students on the material of Energy Transformation Topic Energy Changes, where the sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a real difference in the creative thinking ability of students between before and after the implementation of the STEM-based project-based learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to develop flipbook learning media for science subjects based on Project Based Learning (PJBL) and analyze its effect on student activity. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the IDDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). The research subjects were 20 class V students at SD N 2 Batursari. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires and tests. The research results show that the flipbook learning media for PJBL-based science and science subjects has been well developed and has a positive influence on student activity. This is proven by the increase in students' observation, questionnaire and test scores after participating in learning using flipbook media. The development of flipbook learning media in science and science subjects based on PJBL can be an alternative to increase students' activeness in learning science. This learning media can help students understand learning material more easily and pleasantly.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning, implementation and evaluation of differentiated learning using the Problem Based Learning model and the obstacles and solutions in learning material in the form of objects and their changes in science and science learning for grade IV elementary schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was obtained by observation, interviews and documentation. This research began with an analysis of student needs, including mapping learning needs based on three aspects, namely learning readiness, learning interest, and student learning profile. Second, plan learning as outlined in differentiated teaching modules based on mapping results, namely providing various choices of strategies, materials and ways of learning. The differentiation learning strategy used includes content and process differentiation. The next step is to evaluate and reflect on the learning that has taken place, this is used to improve future learning. Differentiated learning using the Problem Based Learning model on material forms of objects and changes carried out in class 4 of SD Negeri 2 Banyuurip, Temanggung is very effective, this can be seen from the activeness of students in participating in learning, apart from that the increase in student learning outcomes has also increased. However, they also encounter obstacles such as requiring a lot of time, limited resources, and teachers' skills in managing the class. To overcome this, the teacher and the principal hold learning reflections to improve so that further learning becomes more effective.

Abstract

This research was carried out to improve the conceptual understanding of fourth grade students at SD N 1 Tleter by implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The method used is classroom action research. The subjects of this research were class IV students with a total of 12 students and was carried out in 2 cycles. The data collection method used is test questions to measure students' critical thinking skills and understanding of concepts. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. Based on the results of research that has been carried out by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model to learning during research, it can improve students' critical thinking skills in learning activities in the learning process in cycle I. The class average obtained was 70.83 with the number of students still below the KKM. was 4 people and in the second cycle it increased to 82.5. There is 1 student who has not yet completed.

Abstract

Fractional learning resources in the classroom are not yet available, therefore this research was conducted. The aim of this project is to create appropriate pictorial narrative media to illustrate how children's creative thinking skills develop when used for fractional learning in grade II of primary school. Twenty students took part in the research trial stage, while twenty-one students of SD Xaverius 3 Bandar Lampung took part in the implementation stage of the 2023–2024 school year. The image narrative media produced by this study meets the criteria of validity, usefulness, and efficacy. During the testing phase, there was an 80% increase in students' creative thinking capacity and an 85% classical learning completion rate. Students' creative thinking capacity increased to 85% at the implementation stage, while the level of classical learning completeness reached 88.89%. As a result, this visual narrative medium can serve as a useful substitute for teaching students how to think creatively and understand the concept of fractions.

Abstract

Learning Social Sciences (IPS) in elementary schools faces various obstacles and challenges, both internal and external. The aim of this research is to identify the obstacles and challenges in IPS learning and to propose strategies to overcome these challenges in the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The research method applied is qualitative, using interviews and observations as data collection techniques. The research shows that the main obstacles are internal factors such as student boredom and the variation of learning materials, as well as external factors such as large class sizes and the lack of diversity in teaching methods. Challenges in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era include curriculum adjustments and improving teacher quality. Strategies that teachers can use include integrating technology into learning, developing student skills, and enhancing teacher professionalism.

Abstract

Culture and mathematics are closely related. Ethnomathematics is the study of how mathematics is used and understood in various cultures. This study aims to develop a PBL-based traditional Joglo house puzzle media in mathematics learning in grade V of elementary school. This study uses a modification of the ADDIE development model which uses three stages, namely: 1) Analysis, 2) Design and 3) Development. This stage was modified into three stages because the researcher only wanted to focus on product development planning in order to produce a feasible product. Data collection in this study used the interview stage and distributed questionnaires. Based on the analysis of data obtained through the validation process from several reviewers, namely two media experts and teacher responses. The results of the validation test obtained from media expert I got a score of 3.81 with the Good category, then from media expert II got a score of 4.54 with the Very Good category and the last from the teacher's response got a score of 4.6 with the Very Good category. In accordance with the three values ​​obtained, the average result obtained was 4.31 with the Very Good category. Therefore, based on the values ​​obtained from the validation results, it can be concluded that the development of PBL-based Joglo traditional house puzzle media in geometry learning for grade V of elementary school is feasible to use.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the characteristics and analyze the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of graphic organizer-based pop-up book learning media. The problems found in the field are the lack of student participation in the science and science learning process, which is caused by the application of conventional teaching methods, little activity and interaction in class, and less emphasis on the application of science or knowledge, so that students' scientific literacy is low. This research uses a Research & Development (R & D) research design with a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The research results showed that pop-up book learning media based on graphic organizers was declared very feasible with an average result of 4.83 material experts and 4.58 media experts. The graphic organizer-based pop-up book learning medium was stated to be very practical by teachers and students, with an average score of 96%. Apart from that, pop-up book learning media based on graphic organizers are able to improve students' scientific literacy skills in science material. This is proven by the results of the N-Gain test, which obtained a score in the experimental class of 0.7 with high criteria. Meanwhile, the control class also showed an increase of 0.6 with moderate criteria. This shows that improving learning outcomes in the experimental class is more effective than in the control class. Apart from that, the results of the independent sample t test show that the sig. (2-tailed) 0.011 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that the application of graphic organizer-based pop-up book learning media can increase students' literacy.
