Abstract

Mathematics in elementary schools requires an innovative approach to improve students' conceptual understanding and learning interest. This study aims to develop and analyze the effectiveness of using learning media or teaching aids in mathematics learning activities in elementary schools. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and student learning outcome tests. The study results indicate that using appropriate learning media can increase student engagement, clarify abstract concepts, and improve mathematics learning outcomes. These findings suggest that the development of interactive and contextual learning media is essential to support a more effective learning process. Abstract

The impact of parental divorce on the behavior of elementary school-aged children is often quite significant, because they are at a very vulnerable stage of emotional and social development. Children who grow up in divorced families often experience emotional stress that can affect their behavior at school. Feelings of anxiety, anger, or confusion related to parental separation can cause children to exhibit aggressive behavior, be easily offended, or withdraw from social interactions. This study aims to analyze the impact of parental divorce on the emotional development and learning interests of grade VI students at SDN 61 Karara, Bima City. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation, involving students, teachers, and parents as the main subjects. The results of the study indicate that parental divorce can cause emotional disturbances such as sadness, anxiety, loneliness, and loss of motivation, which directly affect students' learning interests and achievements. Conclusions from Parental divorce can cause emotional disturbances and decreased learning interests in grade VI students. Children often experience sadness, anxiety, and loneliness which have a negative impact on concentration and academic achievement. However, support from family, teachers, and the surrounding environment can help them recover and refocus on education. Therefore, the active role of schools and parents is very important in providing appropriate support.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of local wisdom-based Scratch learning media on the learning outcomes of mathematics corner materials of grade V students at SDN 004 Sambutan. The background of this research is based on the low mathematics learning outcomes of students, where the average score of class V only reaches 56,28, and 50% of students have not reached the Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP). The method used in this study was a quantitative experiment with a quasi-experimental design, involving two groups: the experimental group using Scratch media and the control group using conventional methods.The results showed that the use of Scratch learning media based on local wisdom had a significant influence on improving student learning outcomes, with the average posttest score of the experimental group reaching 82,04, while the control group was only 67,78. The hypothesis test using an independent sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0,002, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. This indicates that Scratch media has succeeded in improving students' understanding of the concept of corners better than conventional learning methods.This research is expected to contribute to the development of learning methods that are more effective and relevant to the needs of students, as well as encourage the integration of local wisdom in the learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study has a problem that was found when conducting pre-research, namely regarding the low learning outcomes of students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject in the material of Plant Body Parts and Their Functions in grade IV of elementary school, with a population of 25. This study aims to determine the effect of Augmented Reality (AR) media on student learning outcomes while providing alternative learning media that are innovative and relevant to the development of the times. This study uses a quantitative research type with a one-group design experimental research method. The main data source used in this study is primary data obtained through multiple-choice tests that are separated into a pretest and a posttest. The results of this study indicate that by using Augmented Reality-based media through the Assemblr Edu web, the highest pretest score was 80, and the lowest score was 20, with an average score of 57.6. After the treatment, the highest posttest score was 100, and the lowest score was 60, with an average of 79.6.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni rebana dan penerapan karakter disiplin pada siswa kelas V di SD N Peterongan. Karakter disiplin merupakan salah satu nilai penting dalam pendidikan karakter yang perlu ditanamkan sejak dini. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni rebana dipilih sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter karena mengandung unsur keteraturan, tanggung jawab, dan kerja sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni rebana dilaksanakan secara rutin setiap minggu dan cukup diminati oleh siswa. Nilai-nilai disiplin seperti disiplin waktu, disiplin ibadah, disiplin menaati aturan dan disiplin belajar mulai diterapkan dalam kegiatan tersebut, meskipun masih ditemukan beberapa kendala seperti kurangnya ketegasan pelatih dan batasan pengawasan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peran aktif dari sekolah dan pelatih dalam mengoptimalkan pembentukan karakter disiplin melalui kegiatan seni rebana.

Abstract

The application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in this research aims to improve students' learning outcomes. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out in class V IPAS learning at SDN Pandanwangi 3 within a span of 2 learning cycles. Data collection in this research was through observation, written tests, documentation, and students' reflections. Meanwhile, to obtain more comprehensive and valid data, the data in this research were analyzed using mixed methods, which combine quantitative and qualitative approaches. Starting at the pre-cluster stage, researchers found that only 37.93% of students had reached mastery, while 62.07% of students were not yet complete. Afterwards, by applying the CRT approach, in cycle I the results showed that 51.72% of students had reached mastery, 48.28% of students were not yet complete. Whereas in cycle II, there was a significant increase in results, namely there were 82.76% of students who had completed, and only 17.24% of students who had not completed. Through these results, it can be seen that there is an increase in the learning outcomes of students in the realm of knowledge, it can be seen that in cycle I 51.72% of students are complete, this result has increased in cycle II, namely 82.76% of students have completed. The findings of this research reveal that the application of the CRT approach can significantly improve students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the CRT approach with the Problem-Based Learning model in Civics subjects with the help of flashcards that raise the theme of how diversity can affect the learning outcomes of grade 2 students at SDN Pandanwangi 3. This research method uses classroom action research (PTK) which consists of two cycles. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and evaluation of learning outcomes. The results showed a significant increase in students' average scores, from 82.43 in the pre-cycle to 89.29 in cycle I and 97.86 in cycle II. The number of student completions also increased, with 78.57% completed in the pre-cycle, 100% in cycle I, and 100% in cycle II. This shows that the application of the CRT approach with the PBL model assisted by flashcards is very suitable for improving student learning outcomes. In conclusion, the CRT approach in PBL assisted by diversity flash cards makes a significant contribution to enriching the understanding of inclusive learning that is student-centered and relevant to cultural diversity. This research is expected to contribute to improving the quality of basic education by prioritizing cultural diversity in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the cognitive learning outcomes and collaboration skills of students through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach, assisted by comic media integrated in the Learner Worksheet (LKPD). The background of this study is the low achievement of learning outcomes and collaboration skills of fourth-grade students of SDN Pandanwangi 3, Malang City, in IPAS subjects, especially in the subtopic of Social Interaction. This classroom action research (PTK) was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research subjects were 28 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques were conducted through learning outcome tests and observation of collaboration skills, while data analysis used a quantitative descriptive approach and a paired t-test statistical test. The results showed that in the pre-cycle, only 17.86% of students reached mastery, increased to 67.86% in cycle I, and reached 85.71% in cycle II. Statistical tests showed a gradual, significant increase. Thus, the implementation of the CRT-based PBL model assisted by comics proved effective in improving learning outcomes and collaboration skills and encouraging meaningful, contextualized learning. It was also rooted in the local culture of students.

Abstract

This study shows that the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach can significantly improve the learning outcomes of students on the material of cultural diversity and local wisdom in class IVC SDN Pandanwangi 3. Learning that was originally teacher-centered and only relied on lectures and textbooks led to low active involvement of students and learning outcomes that were not optimal. This can be seen from the pre-cycle results which show that most students have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). Through the application of the PBL model based on the CRT approach that accommodates students' cultural background and actively involves them in solving real problems, there is a significant improvement in learning outcomes. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 50% in cycle I to 82% in cycle II, with the average score increasing from 66.55 to 87.24. The findings prove that contextualized learning oriented to learners' culture can create a more inclusive, meaningful and effective learning experience in shaping 21st century skills and strengthening the learner profile of Pancasila.

Abstract

Learning evaluation plays a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding in elementary schools, especially amidst the low understanding of educators regarding evaluation concepts and practices. This research aims to explore the role, implementation, and factors influencing learning evaluation. The methodology used is a literature review, collecting and analyzing relevant written sources. The research results show that evaluation not only serves to measure the effectiveness of learning but also provides constructive feedback for teachers and students. In addition, the research identified various hindering factors, such as the lack of teacher understanding and student motivation. With improvements in the evaluation process, it is hoped that the quality of education can increase and students' understanding of the subject matter can be optimally supported.
