Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan penulisan ejaan dalam karangan narasi siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Cangkreplor. Fokus penelitian meliputi: (1) kesalahan penggunaan huruf kapital, (2) kesalahan pemilihan kosakata baku, dan (3) kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi melalui kartu data. Sumber data berupa karangan narasi siswa kelas IV. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesalahan huruf kapital mencapai 201 kasus dengan skor interval 73% (kategori tinggi). Kesalahan pemilihan kosakata baku berjumlah 68 kasus dengan skor 7% (kategori sangat rendah). Sementara itu, kesalahan tanda baca ditemukan sebanyak 188 kasus dengan skor 85% (kategori tinggi). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian besar siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan kaidah ejaan yang baik dan benar, khususnya pada aspek penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca dalam penulisan narasi.

Abstract

The Heart of A City That Once Stood Still: The Experience of Bukittinggi City Streets Vendors at COVID-19. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on people's lives, from economic, social, to psychological aspects. This study aims to explore the experiences of street vendors in Bukittinggi in facing difficult times during the pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to understand participants' subjective experiences in depth. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with two participants who were street vendors and directly affected by the pandemic. The data analysis technique used is Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) which aims to understand how individuals interpret their life experiences. The results revealed five main themes and one unique theme, namely social support, negative feelings, gratitude, the impact of the pandemic, and surrender. A unique theme that emerged from one subject was disappointment with relatives.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Value of Character Education in the Collection of Folk Tales of Singkawang City 2019. The method used is a descriptive method. The form of this research is qualitative. Data sources are in the form of quotations and data in the form of character education values. The data collection technique is a documentary study technique. The data analysis technique is carried out by collecting quotations, analyzing, comparing, and combining them to form systematic and complete study results, based on data analysis and discussion it can be concluded that the value of character education based on heart processing has 57 data, based on thinking processing there are 19 data, based on sports there are 10 data, based on feeling and intention processing there are 23 data. This research can be implemented in class IX applied as Indonesian language teaching materials for Film/Drama material for the Independent Curriculum with Learning Achievements (CP) for writing and listening elements.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of problem-based learning  model in improving 21st-century skills in elementary school students. The PBL model places students in real-life problem situations that are relevant to everyday life, thus encouraging the development of critical thinking skills, problem solving, collaboration, communication, and independent learning. The learning process includes problem orientation, formation of study groups, independent or group investigations, and presentation and reflection of results. The application of this model has been proven to significantly increase students' motivation and active involvement in learning and 21st-century skills. With a student-centered learning approach and authentic problems, this model effectively facilitates the development of high-level thinking skills and essential social skills in the modern era. The implications of the study recommend the use of the problem-based learning model as the main strategy in elementary school learning to prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of guided inquiry learning model in improving critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Poka. This research uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods or mix-method. Qualitative data was obtained using interviews while quantitative data was obtained using questionnaires. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Poka, totaling 20 students consisting of 11 male students and 9 female students. The results showed that 1) the guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, 2) the application of the guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. The effectiveness can be seen in the average value obtained from the final test results (Posttest) which is 86.7% in learning outcomes, while in the level of critical thinking skills with the average value obtained from the final test results (Posttest) which is 59.5% which is quite effective.

Abstract

This This research was conducted at Elementary School Bulak Rukem I/258 Surabaya. The study examines the effectiveness of using the Nearpod application as a learning tool for the topic of plant parts in class IV-A, the improvement in pre-test and post-test results, and student responses. During the research, data was collected through pre-tests, post-tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The methods used were quantitative, including N-Gain tests, normality tests, and non-parametric Wilcoxon tests. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the Nearpod application is effective for teaching the topic of plant parts in science, as shown by the N-Gain test results of 0.3 ≤ 0.6866 ≤ 0.7. Subsequently, a normality test revealed that the data produced was not normal, indicated by the significance values of both the pre-test and post-test being < 0.05. Then, a non-parametric Wilcoxon test was conducted, yielding an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in the data. The questionnaire results showed that 85% of students responded positively to the Nearpod application for the Science topic of plant parts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in increasing students' motivation to explore innovative ideas. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects are students and teachers who are directly involved in P5. Data collection was done through structured interviews and document analysis. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of P5 plays a role in improving students' creativity, collaboration, and character. P5 also creates a supportive learning environment to express students' innovative ideas. In addition to academic aspects, students' social skills are also explored in the implementation of P5. In addition, various obstacles were found, such as time management (scheduling), student group dynamics, and adaptation by teachers.

Abstract

Social Studies is closely linked to local wisdom, as both emphasize cultural values and community life. In the development of IPAS learning in elementary schools, it is essential to provide teaching materials that integrate local culture and values. This study aims to explore the local wisdom of the Ciamis community based on cultural elements as an alternative learning resource for IPAS. The research employs the Educational Design Research (EDR) method, which includes the stages of Analysis and Exploration, Design Construction, and Evaluation and Reflection. The results of the validation by content and media experts indicate validity scores of 75% and 92%, respectively, which are categorized as valid. Therefore, the developed teaching material prototype is considered appropriate for use in classroom learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the spelling method assisted by flash card media in improving initial reading skills in grade I students of SDN 06 East Mempawah. The main problem in learning to read is the low ability of students to distinguish syllables and recognize letter symbols. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique uses tests. The results of the study showed a significant increase in initial reading ability. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of learning completeness was 24%, increasing to 52% in cycle I, and reaching 96% in cycle II. The average score of students also increased from 71.4 in the first cycle to 85.84 in the second cycle. These results show that the spelling method assisted by flash card media is effective in improving students' initial reading skills.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in understanding invitation sentences through the implementation of the role-playing method assisted by picture media. The background of this research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in Indonesian language subjects, particularly in the topic of invitation sentences, which is caused by the use of conventional teaching methods without adequate media support. This study employs a classroom action research (CAR) method using the McTaggart model by Kemmis & Nixon, consisting of two cycles. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study indicate an improvement in student learning outcomes after the implementation of role-playing assisted by picture media. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of student mastery was only 45.83%, which increased to 62.5% in the first cycle and reached 87.49% in the second cycle. Thus, the role-playing method assisted by picture media is proven to be effective in enhancing students' understanding and learning outcomes in the topic of invitation sentences in Grade II of SDIT Al-Hikmah Pontianak.
