Abstract

This study aims to enhance the learning interest of Grade VII.G students in Pancasila education through the implementation of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach at SMP Negeri 51 Palembang. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted over two cycles, involving all 27 students of class VII.G as the subjects. The focus of the lesson was on the topic of appreciating the surrounding environment and local culture. Data collection instruments included a learning interest questionnaire and classroom observation, while the data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Based on the results of the questionnaire and classroom observations, it was found that students' interest in Pancasila education was very low. One contributing factor was that the learning process relied solely on textbooks and did not relate the material to the students' own experiences. Therefore, there is a need for more engaging instructional approaches to foster student interest, one of which is the implementation of the CRT approach.

Abstract

Pancasila as the foundation of the state and the ideology of the Indonesian nation has an important role in shaping the morals and ethics of society in national life, especially in the context of character formation starting from elementary education. This study aims to explore and understand the implementation of Pancasila values in elementary school education and evaluate its impact on the formation of student character. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, this study was conducted in several elementary schools in Biru Biru District. Data were collected through interviews, learning observations, and analysis of curriculum documents. The results of the study showed that the majority of teachers (80%) considered Pancasila education very important in shaping students' character, with 75% stating that values such as honesty, mutual cooperation, and tolerance were important foundations in learning. As many as 70% of teachers applied interactive learning methods, such as group discussions and role plays, which were considered effective in increasing student participation. In addition, the results of observations showed an increase in attitudes of tolerance, social responsibility, and cooperation skills among students. However, the main challenge in teaching Pancasila is the limited availability of relevant and interesting teaching materials. This study emphasizes the importance of Pancasila education in shaping the nation's character and recommends strengthening curriculum support, teacher training, and parental involvement to strengthen the implementation of Pancasila values in national life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between work motivation and work discipline with teacher performance at SD IT Baitul Insan. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of the interrelation between variables within the social context of an integrated Islamic school. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that work motivation both intrinsic (such as a sense of calling and devotion) and extrinsic (such as incentives and appreciation) plays a crucial role in driving teachers’ enthusiasm. Work discipline, reflected in punctuality, adherence to school rules, and administrative responsibility, also contributes significantly to teacher professionalism. Teacher performance, as the final output, is greatly influenced by the synergy between motivation and discipline. Teachers with high motivation and strong discipline demonstrate optimal performance, whereas an imbalance between these factors tends to lower work quality. This study highlights the importance of school management that fosters motivation and cultivates a disciplined work culture to improve educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify students' perceptions of the implementation of E-Learning in Sundanese language learning at SMP Alfa Centauri, Bandung. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, by conducting interviews and distributing questionnaires to students involved in the use of E-Learning. With a total of 177 students from grades VII and VIII. The data sources taken from this study are primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used the probably sampling technique. This study revealed that most students agree with the existence of E-Learning because it is considered an effective means of delivering material, a fun learning process and helps improve students' skills and motivation in learning Sundanese. Although there are some technical challenges such as difficulty in accessing E-Learning caused by poor internet, school services are very helpful for every difficulty experienced by students, and other problems are that students feel that interacting with teachers is more enjoyable directly. The features in E-Learning are very easy for students to understand, this is also supported by adequate technology. Every student already has a gadget or laptop so that it supports the learning process. However, there needs to be an evaluation in the use of E-Learning, both evaluations of teachers or students, because some students still do not understand the skills in using technology. This study has limitations in terms of the number of samples due to the limitations of Sundanese teachers and students, so the results may not fully describe broader perceptions.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an important strategy in responding to educational challenges in the Society 5.0 era, which integrates technology and humanistic values. Curriculum innovation requires educators to understand the individual characteristics of students, such as learning readiness, interests, and learning profiles. This approach has been proven to increase student participation, motivation, and learning outcomes. Digital technology also supports differentiation by expanding access and flexibility of learning. This study aims to examine the practice of differentiated learning as part of curriculum innovation in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative approach with literature study techniques, through analysis of various related scientific sources. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of differentiated learning is highly dependent on collaboration between teachers, support for educational policies, and the use of appropriate technology. A sustainability strategy is needed so that this approach can be implemented consistently and responsively to the needs of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study examines the misuse of visit stay permits by foreign nationals from the perspective of Indonesian immigration law, focusing on a case involving 17 Vietnamese nationals working at a cosmetic surgery clinic. Occurring between 2018 and 2025, this case drew significant attention due to the violation of immigration regulations, as the individuals were engaged in activities that did not align with the purpose of their permitted stay. The aim of this research is to analyze how immigration law enforcement was applied in this case and to formulate preventive legal measures to avoid similar violations in the future. The research adopts a normative-empirical method with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through legal literature, academic journals, and other supporting documents, which were then analyzed normatively. This study emphasizes the importance of legal substance and institutional structure in the imposition of administrative sanctions for immigration violations. The case of the 17 Vietnamese nationals serves as a critical reference point in evaluating the effectiveness and fairness of immigration law enforcement on the ground. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of administrative sanctions in cases of permit misuse is influenced by five key factors: the clarity of applicable laws, the competence of law enforcement officials, the availability of supporting infrastructure, and public participation. Therefore, it is essential to implement sanctions that are not only legally appropriate but also capable of delivering a strong deterrent effect. The recommendations from this study are expected to contribute to the development of more responsive immigration policies and better prevention of future violations.

Abstract

The current generation faces significant challenges in terms of interest in memorizing the Qur'an. Factors such as high academic pressure, the influence of social media, and a busy lifestyle contribute to low motivation in memorizing. In addition, the lack of encouragement and minimal understanding of the importance of studying and memorizing the Qur'an are the main causes of the weak enthusiasm of the younger generation for tahfidz activities. This study aims to analyze the management of the Quran Tahfidz program at SMP Ibnu Rusyd and SMP Tahfidz Quran Nurul Muttaqin through four indicators of educational management, namely: planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. The approach used is qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that although the two schools have different approaches in implementing the tahfidz program, both have succeeded in forming the character of students based on the values of the Qur'an. SMP Ibnu Rusyd applies an inclusive and open gradual coaching model, while SMP Tahfidz Quran Nurul Muttaqin carries a selective system with intensive tahsin and daily halaqah. The new findings of this study include an inclusive model based on Islamic boarding schools in public schools, a spiritual-based teacher evaluation forum (Ngopi Dhuha), and the use of colorful memorization mushafs structured in halaqah. This study provides an important contribution to the development of the management of the Tahfidz Quran program in formal educational institutions, especially in responding to the challenges of today's generation regarding the interest in memorizing the Al-Qur'an.
