Abstract

This research focuses on efforts to enhance students' listening skills in Indonesian language learning, specifically on the prefix "ber-", through the utilization of audio-visual media in the teaching and learning process for fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Baturetno 1 Tuban. The method employed in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted directly in the classroom. The research targets 16 students, both male and female. The implementation of the study is carried out in two cycles, which include the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Listening ability tests are used as data collection methods in both cycles, along with documentation. The findings indicate that students' listening skills have improved, rising from 52.8% at the pre-action stage to 71,37% in Cycle I, and experiencing a significant increase to 82.3% in Cycle II. Additionally, students' enthusiasm and active participation in the teaching and learning activities also showed improvement. These results suggest that the integration of audio-visual media during the Indonesian language learning process on the prefix "ber-" is effective in enhancing the listening skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Baturetno 1 Tuban.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize learning outcomes through the integration of artificial intelligence in adaptive learning for the Professional Education course. A mixed methods sequential explanatory design was employed with 160 students from the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program at Universitas Negeri Makassar, divided into experimental (n=80) and control groups (n=80). The experimental group utilized AI-integrated adaptive learning systems (ChatGPT Plus, Perplexity AI, and Claude), while the control group used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through learning achievement tests and in-depth interviews. Results showed a significant difference in posttest scores between groups (t=7.893; p<0.001), with the experimental group achieving a mean gain score of 19.3 points compared to 11.1 points in the control group. Qualitative findings revealed that AI integration enhanced learning motivation, facilitated access to information, and enabled learning personalization. However, technical challenges and ethical concerns regarding academic integrity were identified. This study concludes that strategic AI integration in adaptive learning significantly improves learning outcomes in Professional Education courses while requiring careful consideration of pedagogical, technical, and ethical aspects.

Abstract

Primary education is a very important first step in shaping students' academic foundation, character and social skills. However, many problems still plague learning in primary schools. These include unconcentrated students, cheating behavior, lack of drive to learn, and psychosocial barriers and learning difficulties. The purpose of this study is to gain a more in-depth understanding of behaviors and barriers to learning in primary schools. This research was conducted qualitatively with a descriptive-analytical approach. The research used secondary data from scientific literature, previous research findings, academic books and policy documents. The results show that students' internal factors are not the only cause of learning problems; unvaried learning methods, limited availability of educational facilities, and lack of parental participation are other contributing factors.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the cognitive restructuring technique within the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach in enhancing students’ self-esteem. The method used is a literature review by analyzing four relevant articles. The results indicate that cognitive restructuring consistently improves self- esteem by transforming negative thinking patterns into more rational and adaptive ones. This technique proves effective in various contexts, including general students, victims of body shaming, and approaches that integrate spiritual values. These findings suggest that cognitive restructuring is a flexible and applicable intervention for school counseling services. Further research is recommended to explore qualitative approaches and the integration of technology in counseling practices.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country characterized by a rich diversity of ethnicities, religions, races, and intergroup relations, which serve as both a valuable asset and a challenge in maintaining unity. In recent decades, various conflicts rooted in ethnic, religious, racial, and intergroup (SARA) issues have demonstrated that social cohesion remains vulnerable due to a lack of cross-cultural understanding. This study aims to examine the role of multicultural education in addressing SARA issues and strengthening social cohesion through a literature review approach. The study explores relevant theories of multicultural education and previous findings related to its implementation in the context of Indonesian education. The results indicate that multicultural education holds significant potential in shaping students into tolerant, inclusive individuals who respect diversity. It can also contribute to fostering a harmonious social environment by enhancing mutual understanding and intergroup solidarity. Nevertheless, the implementation of multicultural education faces several challenges, ranging from cultural resistance to limitations in policies and teacher training. This study recommends strengthening policies and educational practices that emphasize multicultural values as a strategic effort to build social cohesion in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

The high dropout rate in Indonesia remains a significant challenge in the education sector, especially at the primary level. Economic factors such as poverty, limited access to education, and lack of parental support are among the main contributors to this issue. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods to analyze various economic factors influencing school dropouts. The research aims to identify key economic barriers and propose viable solutions to mitigate their impact on education. The findings indicate that household economic conditions, inadequate educational facilities, and limited financial support for underprivileged students are the dominant factors hindering access to education. The study concludes that increasing educational subsidies, providing targeted scholarships, and ensuring more equitable distribution of educational infrastructure are strategic measures to reduce dropout rates. Therefore, collaboration between the government, society, and private sector is essential in improving educational accessibility for all children in Indonesia.
