Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of puzzle media in improving students' cooperation skills on the topic of How to Get All Our Needs in science learning in grade IV of SDN 043 Batu Gajah. The background of this study is the low ability of students to cooperate in group activities, such as the absence of active participation, responsibility, and being given appreciation for friends' opinions during the discussion process. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The research subjects consisted of 1 teacher and 20 students, with details of 8 males and 12 females. The objects in this study were puzzle media and students' cooperation skills. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and documentation, while data analysis techniques were carried out descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study showed an increase in students' cooperation skills, from the initial condition of 39.25% (very poor category), increasing to 58.25% at the end of cycle I (sufficient category), and increasing again to 87% at the end of cycle II (very good category). The conclusion of this study is that puzzle media is proven to be effective in significantly improving students' cooperation skills in science learning. Abstract

This study focuses on efforts to improve the pre-writing skills of children aged 5-6 years through letter blocks media at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten. The problem faced is the low pre-writing skills in children, which is seen from their difficulties in recognizing letters and positioning their fingers when writing. This can hinder children's literacy development in the future. The general objective of this study is to determine children's pre-writing skills. While the specific objectives include; To improve letter recognition in children through letter blocks media and to Create a fun and interactive learning atmosphere. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which involves observation and interviews to collect initial data. This research will be conducted in several cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The use of letter blocks media is expected to make children more active and involved in the learning process. The output of this study is expected to be an increase in children's pre-writing skills, which can be measured through indicators such as the ability to hold writing tools, make meaningful scribbles, and write names in capital letters. In addition, this research is also expected to provide a positive contribution to the development of learning methods in Early Childhood Education (PAUD).

Abstract

This study used a sample of 25 children with character traits aged 6-7 years in class B using Purposive sampling techniques. This study is a Pre-Experimental study. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive statistical analysis, Prerequisite Tests (Normality Test and Homogeneity Test) and Hypothesis testing. Descriptive Tests are used to describe the characteristics of the data. While the Prerequisite Test is used to determine whether the data is normally distributed or not and to determine whether 2 groups have the same characteristics. Hypothesis testing is used to see the effect of the method of telling the story of the Prophet on the development of characteristics in early childhood. The results of this study are 2, namely H0 if there is no effect and H1 if there is an effect of the method of telling the story of the Prophet on the development of character values in early childhood. The output of this study is expected to contribute to PAUD teachers as an alternative method of character learning that is interesting, contextual, and appropriate to the stages of child development. In addition, the results of this study can be used as reference material in the preparation of learning programs based on Islamic values in early childhood education environments.

Abstract

Hasil belajar matematika peserta didik tingkat SMP masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah belum optimalnya penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kesiapan belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran terdiferensiasi dengan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental tipe non-equivalent control group design . Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster sampling , sehingga diperoleh dua kelas sebagai sampel, yaitu kelas eksperimen (7.6) dan kelas kontrol (7.7), masing-masing berjumlah 32 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar pada materi Aritmetika Sosial. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-test . Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,0045 dengan α = 0,05, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari penerapan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi dengan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Dengan demikian, strategi pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kesiapan belajar peserta didik terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika di tingkat SMP

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited use of instructional media in the teaching and learning process at elementary schools, particularly in the subject of Pancasila Education, focusing on the material about the principles (sila) of Pancasila. Learning is still heavily dependent on textbooks, worksheets, and other printed sources, making it difficult for students to understand the meaning and application of each Pancasila principle. Schools also have not fully optimized the use of facilities such as Chromebooks and projectors. In Grade IV, the material discusses the meaning and examples of applying Pancasila principles in daily life. The use of media is very helpful in the learning process. The researcher developed an interactive learning media called “Makpen” to assist both teachers and students, specifically for learning the Pancasila principles. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The aim of this study is to determine the validity and practicality of the “Makpen” interactive learning media. The results showed: (1) media expert and material expert validation scores were 92% respectively; and (2) teacher responses reached 96%, student responses in the limited trial were 94%, and in the wider trial were 96,4%. Based on these results, the “Makpen” interactive learning media is considered very valid, practical, and feasible to use in the learning process. The “Makpen” media is valid, practical, and effective for learning the meaning and application of Pancasila principles. Theoretically, this media enhances students’ understanding. Practically, it can serve as a reference for teachers and increase students’ learning motivation. The researcher suggests the development of other technology-based instructional media to make learning more engaging and meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to introduce the alphabet by allowing students to experience letter shapes and learn the correct way of writing using sandpaper letters (SPL) media, which serves to improve the writing skills of 1st-grade elementary school students. The research method employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in the 1st grade of SDN Lemah Putro with 20 students. Data were collected through written tests and observations. The data analysis technique involved comparing the percentage of learning mastery and observing student learning activities using SPL media across Cycles I and II. The results showed that during the pre-action stage, student mastery was 20% (4 students). In Cycle I, mastery of cursive writing increased to 50% (10 students) in the pre-test and 60% (12 students) in the post-test, with student activity reaching 75% in the "good" category. In Cycle II, mastery rose to 70% (14 students) in the pre-test and 80% (16 students) in the post-test, with student activity reaching 95% in the "very good" category. It can be concluded that the use of SPL media effectively improves the writing skills of 1st-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the linguistic politeness in the speech acts of female students (santri) at Al-Masruriyyah Islamic Boarding School, Tebuireng, Jombang. The research focuses on politeness strategies, politeness maxims, and forms of polite expressions used by the santri during teaching and learning activities, particularly in Bandongan classes, Madrasah Diniyyah, and the Takhasus Program. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through non-participant observation, listening, recording, and note-taking techniques, and analyzed using politeness theories by Brown and Levinson (1987) & Leech (1983). The findings reveal that the santri apply various politeness strategies such as positive politeness, negative politeness, and off-record strategies. These findings affirm that the santri’s communicative practices in the pesantren environment reflect not only religious values but also pragmatic awareness in maintaining social harmony through language. Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of creativity among elementary school students in exploring timbre through environmental-based learning. Creativity in this context encompasses four main aspects: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-shot case study design, involving 20 second-grade students as participants. The instrument used was a timbre exploration task using objects from the surrounding environment, assessed through a creativity rubric. The results showed that 20% of students demonstrated a high level of creativity, 55% fell into the moderate category, and 25% were in the low category. In the aspect of fluency, more than half of the students showed adequate ability to generate sound variations. However, the aspects of flexibility, originality, and elaboration were still dominated by low to moderate scores, indicating that students had not yet fully developed their ideas in diverse, original, and detailed ways. Environmental-based learning has proven to provide a positive stimulus in fostering students' musical creativity, although further learning strategies are needed to optimize all aspects of creativity. This study recommends the use of contextual approaches and exploratory learning in music education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze elementary school students' interest in learning music through children's songs. Interest is examined through three main aspects, namely student involvement, enjoyment, and interest. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using simple random sampling techniques. The sample consists of 361 elementary school students from Phase A, Phase B, and Phase C in Sariwangi Subdistrict. The data collection instrument is a closed-ended questionnaire with 15 statements on a four-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed descriptively using statistical software. The results showed that student engagement was in the moderate category with a percentage of 59.8%, while student enjoyment was also in the moderate category with a percentage of 67.03%. Conversely, interest showed a very high result of 98.09%. These findings indicate that, overall, students' interest in music education is quite high, but their engagement and feelings of enjoyment are not yet optimal. This suggests that while the song-based learning approach is effective in capturing attention, learning strategies need to be further developed to enhance active participation and emotional satisfaction during the learning process. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to design more interactive and enjoyable methods to support comprehensive engagement in music education.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the feasibility and effectiveness of interactive science learning media based on Articulate Storyline. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. Data collection technique use validation sheet analysis of material experts, media experts and sains teachers. Analysis relied on the Likert scale for media fasibility score and blackbox testing. The result of the study show that interactive science learning media based on Articulate Storyline obtained a material validity score of 92% with very feasible criteria, then media validity of 90% with very feasible criteria and teacher validity score of 85,33% with very feasible criteria. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that interactive science learning media based on Articulate Storyline on the Earth and Solar System material as a whole met the criteria of being feasible and effective.
