Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning interest of fifth-grade elementary school students in art lessons, specifically on the topic of recognizing various decorative patterns (ragam hias) from different regions of Indonesia. This issue is attributed to a lack of innovation in the teaching process, including the use of conventional learning media that relies solely on textbooks. The aim of this study is to develop interactive multimedia based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to increase students’ learning interest in art subjects in fifth grade. To address this issue, the study employs a Design and Development method using the PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) development model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and student learning interest questionnaires, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The product developed is an interactive multimedia tool that presents materials on traditional decorative patterns from various regions of Indonesia, structured according to the PBL syntax. Expert validation results indicate that the media is classified as "highly feasible" for use in learning, while the student learning interest questionnaire results show a significant increase, falling into the "high" category. Thus, this PBL-based interactive multimedia is effective in enhancing the learning interest of fifth-grade elementary school students in art education.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted various sectors of life, including basic education. The transition from face-to-face learning to distance learning (DL) has brought about numerous challenges, especially at the elementary school level where students highly depend on direct guidance. This study aims to identify the problems and solutions that emerged in elementary school learning during the pandemic. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were obtained from various scientific articles, national journals, and relevant research reports published within the last five years. The data were analyzed descriptively by grouping them into key thematic categories. The results show that the main problems faced in elementary school learning during the COVID- 19 pandemic include: (1) limited technology and infrastructure, (2) lack of digital competence among teachers and students, (3) low parental support and involvement, (4) decreased student motivation and independence, (5) limited interaction and learning approach, and (6) difficulty in assessment and learning supervision. The identified solutions include the use of simple and accessible learning media, digital literacy training for teachers, strengthening communication with parents, implementation of enjoyable and contextual learning methods, and the development of alternative assessment strategies. This study is expected to serve as a reference for teachers, schools, and policymakers in designing more adaptive learning strategies, and also as a foundation for further research on similar topics.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid technological development, the world of education faces increasingly complex challenges. Teachers are not only required to master learning materials, but also be able to adapt to changes, utilize technology, and form competitive student characters. In this case, the principal has a strategic role as an education leader, especially in creating a work environment that supports and motivates teachers to achieve optimal performance. The teacher's work motivation itself is a psychological factor that affects the success of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to analyze the influence of school principals' leadership on teacher performance by considering the mediating role of work motivation in elementary schools in Tengaran District, Semarang Regency. The quantitative approach is used through path analysis to see the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of the study show that the leadership of school principals has a significant effect on work motivation and directly also on teacher performance. Teachers' work motivation also contributes significantly to performance, as well as mediating the influence of the principal's leadership on performance with a total influence of 0.723. These findings confirm the importance of effective leadership and high motivation in improving teacher performance. This research provides implications for education policymakers and school principals to develop transformative leadership and strategies to increase work motivation, in order to encourage the achievement of optimal teacher performance and improve the quality of basic education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V yang menggunakan model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan media question box di SDN 81 Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Pre Experiment dengan bentuk one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN 81 Singkawang dan sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling yaitu seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 19 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik pengukuran dan teknik observasi langsung, Instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu, lembar tes dan lembar pengamatan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji paired sample t-test, N-gain dan persentase aktivitas belajar. Adapun Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa. 1) Uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank menunjukkan nilai sig 0,000<0.05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan media question box di SDN 81 Singkawang. 2) uji N-Gain penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan media question box SDN 81 Singkawang, adapun hasil dari uji N-Gain yaitu dengan nilai 0,39 berada pada kriteria sedang. 3) untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar siswa yaitu dengan mencari rata-rata persentase keseluruhan, adapun hasil yang didapat sebesar 66,5% dengan kriteria aktif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan media question box berdampak positif pada keaktifan siswa dalam prses belajar khususnya materi volume kubus dan balok. Dampak dari penelitian ini yaitu membuat poses pembelajaran jadi lebih bermakna karena siswa belajar melalui pengalaman nyata dengan kehidupan mereka sehingga materi mudah dipahami. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan media question box terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V di SDN 81 Singkawang.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya pengembangan metodologi penelitian pendidikan Islam yang holistik melalui integrasi antara epistemologi Islam yang berpijak pada wahyu, akal dan intuisi spiritual menawarkan dasar ontologis dan aksiologis yang khas, sementara pendekatan Barat menghadirkan sistematika ilmiah yang teruji dalam aspek validitas dan reliabilitas. Pendekatan holistik ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab keterbatasan metodologi konvensional yang kerap terlepas dari dimensi nilai dan spiritual. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka kritis analisis komparatif, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi dua tradisi ini tidak hanya memungkinkan, tetapi juga mendesak untuk dilakukan demi menghasilkan riset pendidikan islam yang kontekstual, transformatif, dan bernilai Ilahiyah. Hasil kajian ini merekomendasikan konstruksi metodologi yang tidak dikotomis, melainkan inklusif, yang menjembatani antara dimensi empirik-rasional dengan dimensi normatif-transendental. Dengan demikian, paradigma penelitian pendidikan Islam dapat berkembang secara utuh dan berakar pada nilai-nilai keislaman yang otentik namun tetap relevan dengan tantangan kontemporer.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on improving students’ creativity in the subject of Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBdP) in Grade III at SDN 1 Sangiang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two classes: an experimental class using the PjBL model and a control class applying conventional learning. The instruments used included pretest and posttest creativity tests, observation sheets, and teacher interviews. The results showed a significant increase in students' creativity in the experimental class, with the average score rising from 51.58 (pretest) to 82.72 (posttest) and an N-Gain of 0.64. Meanwhile, the control class only increased from 52.15 to 67.89 with an N-Gain of 0.33. The independent t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Qualitative data from observations and interviews also revealed increased motivation, confidence in expressing ideas, and collaboration among students. These findings confirm that the PjBL model is effective in enhancing students' creativity and is highly recommended for application in SBdP learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of Quran memorization management on the quality of memorization among 12th-grade students at the Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Imam Ashim Islamic Boarding School in Makassar. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research combines qualitative interviews with pesantren administrators and teachers, as well as quantitative assessments of students’ memorization outcomes. The findings show that effective planning, structured implementation, and continuous evaluation significantly support the quality of Quran memorization. Key supporting factors include discipline, intrinsic motivation, and teacher guidance. However, challenges such as cognitive overload in final-year students and distractions from external activities were also identified. The results highlight that systematic management plays a crucial role in sustaining the fluency, tajweed accuracy, and consistency of students' memorization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using a multiplication board as a teaching aid on improving mathematics learning outcomes for third-grade students at SDN Inpres Risa 1. The research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of all 23 students in the class, selected through total sampling. Data were collected through pretest and posttest essay questions (15 items) and analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain calculation, normality test, and paired samples t-test with SPSS 26. The results showed that the average pretest score was 54.97, increasing to 79.42 in the posttest. The average N-Gain score was 0.54, categorized as moderate. The Shapiro–Wilk normality test indicated a normal data distribution (Sig. > 0.05), while the paired samples t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in students’ multiplication skills after using the multiplication board. This research confirms that concrete teaching aids can enhance student engagement, understanding, and achievement in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research examines how the Pancasila Student Profile (PSP) is put into practice at SDN 03 Koto Tangah. The PSP, similar to the Character Education (PPK) framework from the 2013 curriculum, aims to nurture students who are lifelong learners. Its core purpose is to develop students with strong moral character, the ability to compete globally, sharp critical thinking skills, and innovative ideas, all in line with its established benchmarks. Specifically, this study looked at the degree to which the PSP was implemented at the school. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study was conducted at SDN 03 Koto Tangah. Primary data was collected from teachers, while secondary data came from students and the principal. Data was gathered through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis involved reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions from the data. The results showed that the PSP aspect averaged 72%, which was classified as "Very Developed." Student surveys on their perceptions of the PSP also averaged 72%, indicating it was "Developed" overall. The highest score, 77%, was for the "Faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character" aspect, showing considerable success in fostering spiritual and moral values. While the "Independent" and "Creative" aspects were slightly lower at 69%, they were still considered "Developed." Interestingly, no major differences in perception were found between male and female students. Factors supporting the PSP's implementation included teachers having significant autonomy in their teaching. However, a key obstacle was the curriculum's absence of a specific subject for the Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile and Work Culture (P5BK), which meant teachers couldn't fully concentrate on delivering the PSP content.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of the deep learning approach in science learning at SDN 58 Mojo Sragen. The deep learning approach focuses on three aspects, namely meaningful, mindful and joyful, which is in line with the direction of the Merdeka Curriculum philosophy which prioritizes learning that is adapted to students' needs, flexible and contextual. This research is based on observation data, interviews and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative with research subjects being teachers and students. The research results show that the application of deep learning is able to increase student involvement to realize student center learning, deepen science concepts, and is able to encourage the formation of high-level thinking skills. Teachers have an important role in facilitating a student-centered learning process through exploratory studies and contextual problem solving. This research recommends that during the learning process at least one form of technology integration be inserted so that learning includes deep learning elements, namely mindfulness, meaning and joyful.
