Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi, khususnya pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia fase F. LKPD yang digunakan di sekolah masih bersifat konvensional, berisi soal latihan tanpa aktivitas nyata sehingga siswa cenderung pasif, mudah bosan, dan mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis proyek terintegrasi STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) yang valid dan praktis digunakan pada pembelajaran biologi di SMA/MA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4-D yang meliputi tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate, namun dibatasi sampai tahap develop. Data diperoleh melalui uji validitas oleh ahli serta uji praktikalitas oleh guru dan peserta didik. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan persentaseHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor validitas sebesar 96,10% dengan kategori sangat valid, meliputi aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, didaktik, dan kegrafikan. Uji praktikalitas oleh tiga guru biologi mencapai skor 95% (sangat praktis), sedangkan uji praktikalitas oleh 31 peserta didik memperoleh skor 92% (sangat praktis). Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa LKPD berbasis proyek terintegrasi STEM tidak hanya menarik dan mudah digunakan, tetapi juga mampu membantu siswa belajar lebih aktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, produk ini layak dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dengan model Discovery Learning apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa lebih baik dari pada menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Teknik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah random sampling. Terpilih sebagai sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XII F1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XII F6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Post-test, berbentuk essay dengan reliabilitas 0,754. Selanjutnya pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t satu pihak. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh P-Value < 0,05 yaitu 0,04 < 0,05 pada taraf . Sehingga bisa disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model Discovery Learning kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa lebih baik dari pada dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This literature research aims to examine the potential of the Quantum Learning learning model in increasing learning motivation and mastery of Natural Sciences (IPA) concepts in elementary school students. The research background identifies the problem of low motivation and understanding of science concepts due to conventional learning that tends to be passive and focuses on memorization. The Quantum Learning model, with its fun, empowering, and holistic approach, is considered relevant to address this problem. The method used is literature review, analyzing various trusted sources to understand the theoretical foundations and empirical findings related to Quantum Learning, learning motivation, and mastery of science concepts at the elementary level. The results of the literature review show that the Quantum Learning model has the potential to increase student learning motivation through the creation of a positive, interactive, and relevant learning atmosphere to daily life. This increase in motivation is expected to be positively correlated with a deeper mastery of science concepts because students are more actively involved, have high curiosity, and build understanding through various learning styles. Nonetheless, the implementation of Quantum Learning requires skilled teachers, adequate facilities, and careful planning. This study concludes that the Quantum Learning model is worth considering as an innovative strategy to increase the motivation to learn and mastery of science concepts for elementary school students, by paying attention to the readiness of its implementation.

Abstract

Perubahan lingkungan merupakan isu global yang menuntut peserta didik memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah. Namun, pembelajaran konvensional sering membuat peserta didik pasif dan kurang terlibat. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan sumber belajar inovatif seperti Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) menjadi penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan LKPD berbasis PBL pada materi perubahan lingkungan kelas X SMA/MA. Penelitian dilakukan Februari–Agustus 2025 di SMA Negeri 7 Bungo bekerja sama dengan Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) yang dibatasi sampai tahap Develop. Data dikumpulkan melalui uji validitas oleh tiga dosen validator dan uji praktikalitas oleh guru serta peserta didik dengan angket skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat validitas 83,75% (sangat valid) pada aspek isi, bahasa, didaktik, dan grafis. Uji praktikalitas memperoleh hasil 94% (sangat praktis) oleh guru dan 93,30% (sangat praktis) oleh peserta didik. Disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis PBL pada materi perubahan lingkungan memiliki kriteria sangat valid dan sangat praktis sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

The pervasive use of smartphones in Indonesia has significantly impacted educational practices, offering substantial benefits for vocabulary learning, such as easy access to information and interactive applications. However, these devices also present a major challenge: digital distraction. This study investigates the types and contributing factors of distractions experienced by second-semester English students at a university in Indonesia during vocabulary learning via smartphones. Data were collected through a questionnaire administered to 33 students and follow-up interviews with three selected respondents. Quantitative findings revealed that notifications or pop-up messages (75.8%), texting (72.75%), social media and entertainment applications (68.2%), and multitasking (68.15%) were the most prevalent and disruptive types of distractions. Qualitative analysis further contextualized these distractions, highlighting habitual app-switching and the allure of entertainment content as key disruptors. The factors contributing to these distractions were identified as low self-regulation (74.7%), attentional impulsiveness (69.6%), and the ease of access to social media (71.7%). Interview data underscored the role of emotional regulation, such as using entertainment apps to combat boredom or tiredness, and habitual behavior in exacerbating these distractions. The study concludes that while smartphones are powerful tools for language learning, their potential for distraction is significant and multifaceted. It recommends that students adopt better self-regulation strategies and use focus-enhancing features, while educators and institutions should integrate digital literacy training to promote more mindful and effective smartphone use in academic contexts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to develop or create learning media in the form of animated videos for fifth-grade elementary school students in the subject of Science with the material "Properties of Light". In addition, this study also aims to evaluate the validity and ease of use of learning media in the form of animated videos. The method applied is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE approach, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The tools used to create this animated video media product are by utilizing Bing Image Creator to create characters and backgrounds, Canva for image editing, and CapCut for audio and motion alignment. The animated video that was successfully developed consists of an opening, material explanation, summary, interactive quiz, and closing. The results of the validation carried out by media experts showed an average percentage of 87.5% (Very Valid), while from material experts it reached 88.97% (Very Valid). In a small trial involving 4 students, the response given was 87.08% (Very Practical). When applied to 13 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Tugu Harum, the percentage obtained was 88.6% (Very Practical). The teacher's response also showed a figure of 95.46% (Very Practical). The results obtained from this study indicate that the animated video-based learning media that has been developed is proven to be valid, appropriate for use, and effective in increasing student motivation and understanding in science lessons, especially about the properties of light. Keywords: Learning media, Animated Videos, Science ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan atau menciptakan media pembelajaran berupa video animasi bagi siswa kelas V SD dalam mata pelajaran IPAS dengan materi "Sifat-sifat Cahaya". Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kevalidan dan kemudahan penggunaan media belajar berupa video animasi tersebut. Metode yang diterapkan adalah Research and Development (R&D) menggunakan pendekatan ADDIE, yang meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Alat yang digunakan untuk membuat produk media video animasi ini yaitu dengan memanfaatkan Bing Image Creator untuk membuat karakter dan latar belakang, Canva untuk mengedit gambar, serta CapCut untuk audio dan penyelarasan gerakan. Video animasi yang berhasil dikembangkan terdiri dari pembukaan, penjelasan materi, ringkasan, kuis interaktif, dan penutup. Hasil dari validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli media menunjukkan persentase rata-rata sebesar 87,5% (Sangat Valid), sementara dari ahli materi mencapai 88,97% (Sangat Valid). Dalam uji coba kecil yang melibatkan 4 siswa, respon yang diberikan adalah 87,08% (Sangat Praktis). Ketika diterapkan pada 13 siswa di kelas V SD Negeri 2 Tugu Harum, persentase yang diperoleh adalah 88,6% (Sangat Praktis). Respon dari guru juga menunjukkan angka 95,46% (Sangat Praktis). Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis video animasi yang telah dikembangkan terbukti valid, pantas digunakan, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi serta pemahaman siswa dalam pelajaran IPAS, terutama tentang sifat-sifat cahaya. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komitmen afektif, job insecurity, dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai kelurahan se-Kota Batam, baik secara langsung maupun melalui motivasi intrinsik sebagai variabel mediasi. Permasalahan utama yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kinerja pegawai yang tercermin dari keluhan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan publik yang lambat, tidak responsif, dan kurang efisien. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik survei dan analisis jalur (path analysis). Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 198 pegawai dari total populasi 392 orang, yang dipilih dengan metode proportional random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen afektif dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi intrinsik dan kinerja pegawai. Job insecurity memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap motivasi intrinsik, namun tidak secara langsung terhadap kinerja. Motivasi intrinsik terbukti menjadi variabel mediasi yang signifikan dalam menjembatani pengaruh komitmen afektif dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya membangun komitmen emosional pegawai, menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung, serta meminimalkan ketidakpastian kerja guna mendorong kinerja optimal dalam pelayanan publik.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of concentration in students' learning in grade 10 (phase e) at MA Muhammadiyah Tamiang, Ujung Gading, West Pasaman. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the application of ice-breaking techniques on student concentration at MA Muhammadiyah Tamiang, Ujung Gading, West Pasaman.This research method was quantitative. The population in the study was all 66 grade 10 students, and the sample was 35 students from class X1, studying sociology at MA Muhammadiyah Tamiang, Ujung Gading, West Pasaman. Sampling was conducted using a total sampling technique. The instrument used for the study was a questionnaire, with a t-test used to test the hypothesis.The results showed that: There was a significant effect of the application of ice-breaking techniques on student concentration at MA Muhammadiyah Tamiang, Ujung Gading, West Pasaman. This can be seen from the results of the data analysis: t-test = 2.848 > t-table = 1.669. Therefore, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted, indicating that there is a significant effect of the application of the ice-breaking technique on the concentration of sociology learning in class X (phase e) of MA Muhammadiyah Tamiang, Ujung Gading, West Pasaman. Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is one of the essential competencies students need to master; however, in reality, many students still face difficulties in developing this skill. One effort to improve it is through the implementation of Case Base Learning while also considering affective factors such as curiosity. This study aims to examine the effect of Case Base Learning and curiosity on students’ mathematical problem-solving ability. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of all ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Abung Semuli, with a total sample of 65 students selected using cluster random sampling. The sample consisted of two classes: class IX H as the experimental class, which applied Case Base Learning, and class IX F as the control class, which applied Direct Instruction. The instruments used were a mathematical problem-solving test and a curiosity questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using two-way ANOVA with prerequisite tests, namely normality and homogeneity tests. The results of the study revealed that: (1) Case Base Learning was more effective than Direct Instruction in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving ability, (2) curiosity had a significant role in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving ability, and (3) there was no interaction between Case Base Learning and curiosity in influencing students’ mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how teachers perceive the Artificial Intelligence (AI) program in learning activities at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. The study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive qualitative methods. Sampling techniques utilized purposive sampling with three informants. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that teachers' perceptions of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) program in learning activities at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara are positive, receiving strong support from teachers for the AI program in the learning process at school. The experience, benefits, impacts, and significant role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) assist students and teachers in exploring knowledge and aid in creating learning media efficiently and automatically.
