Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes on ecosystem material in class V of SDN 8 Cakranegara. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. Data collection techniques use multiple-choice test techniques and observation sheets for the implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model. The research sample used in this study were all fifth-grade students of SDN 8 Cakranegara with a total of 41 students. The data analysis technique uses SPSS version 25 with the results of the hypothesis using an independent sample t-test with a significance of 0.05, the sig. (2-tailed) is 0.002 smaller than 0.05. So that the decision making used is Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is an influence of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes on ecosystem material in class V of SDN 8 Cakranegara.

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Analisis Kesantunan Berbahasa Pada Proses Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Sibulue bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kesantunan berbahasa guru dan siswa yang ada di SMP Negeri 2 Sibulue. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan- tuturan yang didapat selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan prinsip- prinsip sopan santun Leech(1983). Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa tuturan guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam mengajar Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VII B SMP Negeri 2 Sibulue sudah santun walaupun masih ada sedikit pelanggaran dalam berbahasa yang terbukti dari pematuhan maksim kesantunan berbahasa. Namun, tuturan siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 2 Sibulue pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia belum santun yang terbukti dari banyak pelanggaran maksim kesantunan berbahasa yang dilanggar siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung baik pada guru maupun sesame siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh ukuran perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan laporan keberlanjutan dan good corporate governance sebagai variabel mediasi. Populasi penelitian mencakup perusahaan makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2019–2022, dengan pemilihan sampel berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi data panel dengan bantuan software STATA.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, good corporate governance (yang diukur melalui dewan komisaris dan dewan direksi), serta laporan keberlanjutan. Namun, good corporate governance tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan dan tidak mampu memediasi hubungan antara ukuran perusahaan dan nilai perusahaan. Sebaliknya, laporan keberlanjutan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, tetapi juga tidak mampu menjadi variabel mediasi dalam hubungan tersebut. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa meskipun ukuran perusahaan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan nilai, efektivitas mediasi melalui laporan keberlanjutan dan tata kelola perusahaan masih terbatas dalam konteks industri makanan dan minuman di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of character education at SMP Negeri 8 Ambon, Indonesia, using the Goal-Free Evaluation model to identify actual outcomes beyond predefined objectives. Character education, integrated into daily school culture as "habituation activities," aims to foster values such as religiosity, honesty, and discipline. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected via interviews with school leaders, teachers, staff, and students, alongside participant observation and document analysis. Findings reveal that habituation practices—daily flag ceremonies, prayers, national song singing, 5S (smile, greet, salute, be polite and gentle), and cleanliness routines—have successfully become embedded in school culture, involving all stakeholders. This integration has yielded significant positive outcomes: improved student discipline (reduced tardiness), enhanced school cleanliness, stronger teacher-student relationships, increased participation in cultural competitions, and a more respectful school environment. Key success factors include consistent role modeling by staff and leadership, adequate infrastructure (e.g., trash bins, prayer rooms), and community support. Challenges include residual misconceptions among some staff who view character education as solely the responsibility of specific subjects. The study concludes that embedding character education within daily school routines, grounded in consistent modeling and institutional support, is highly effective in cultivating student character.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) approach at a public junior high school in Ambon City. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with the population consisting of all seventh-grade students in the even semester across two classes. The sample was selected using simple random sampling, comprising 23 students from class VII-1. Data were collected using a 10-item essay test measuring five indicators of critical thinking skills: elementary clarification, the basis for the decision/basic support, advanced clarification, inference, and strategies and tactics. Descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques were applied to evaluate the data. Results showed a significant improvement in all critical thinking indicators after the STEAM intervention, with the highest achievement in elementary clarification (68.75). The findings indicate that the STEAM approach effectively fosters systematic and analytical thinking by integrating conceptual knowledge, creativity, and scientific reasoning. Thus, STEAM-based learning is a promising strategy to strengthen higher-order thinking skills in junior high school science education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of poetry writing skills in students. The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine the description of the application of the synectics learning model to poetry writing learning for fourth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 285 Sompe, Sabbangparu District, Wajo Regency. (2) To determine the poetry writing skills of fourth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 285 Sompe, Sabbangparu District, Wajo Regency before and after the application of the synectics learning model. (3) To determine the effect of the application of the synectics learning model on the ability to write Indonesian poetry in fourth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 285 Sompe, Sabbangparu District, Wajo Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi- experimental design research design of the nonequivalent control group design type. The population of this study were all students of UPTD SD Negeri 285 Sompe and the sample in this study were fourth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 285 Sompe consisting of 40 students. Determination using purposive sampling technique with class IV A as the experimental class and class IV B as the control class. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics using the Independent sample t-test. The results of the experimental class study 1) the implementation of the learning process by applying the synectics learning model was carried out at meeting I quite well, meeting II was in the good category, and meeting III was in the very good category, 2) The ability to write poetry after applying the synectics learning model showed an increase, this was evidenced by the posttest score which was higher than the pretest score, 3) The synectics learning model had an effect on the poetry writing ability of class IV students of UPTD SD Negeri 285 Sompe, Sabbangparu District, Wajo Regency. So it can be concluded that the application of the synectics learning model is effective in the results of the poetry writing ability test showing an increase.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate how effective the use of monopoly learning media is in improving students' speaking skills at MA Islamiyah Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. In this study, the method applied is quantitative with a Quasi Experimental Design through a Control Group Pre-Test and Post-Test approach. The sample studied consisted of students of class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2, each of which has 18 students. Class XI IPS 1 acted as an experimental group that utilized monopoly learning media, while class XI IPS 2 acted as a control group that used traditional methods. To collect data, interview techniques, observation, documentation, and implementation of pre-test and post-test were used. Data analysis was carried out using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, homogeneity test, and Paired Sample T-Test hypothesis testing supported by the SPSS application. The findings of this study indicate that the average pre-test score for the experimental class reached 62.72, then increased to 78.72 in the post-test with a significance value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. Thus, monopoly learning media has been proven to be effective in improving students' speaking skills because it is able to create a pleasant learning atmosphere, increase motivation, encourage active involvement from students, and help students master vocabulary through repeated muroja'ah activities in an interesting game context. Abstract

The background of this research is based on low student learning outcomes, a lack of interest in learning, and the continued use of conventional methods in mathematics instruction. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by Math Chess media in improving mathematics learning outcomes for Phase B students at Taman siswa Galang Private Elementary School. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection instruments included observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The research results show an improvement in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. The implementation of the TGT model combined with Math Chess media has proven capable of creating a fun, interactive, and competitive learning environment, making students more active, enthusiastic, and able to easily understand multiplication concepts. In conclusion, the TGT learning model assisted by Mathchess media is effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes on multiplication material in class III at the Private Elementary School Taman siswa Galang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies used by elementary school teachers in integrating character values into thematic learning. Character values such as responsibility, honesty, cooperation, and tolerance are essential components of the national education goals and must be instilled early through the learning process. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation of learning tools. The research subjects were second and fifth-grade teachers at SD Negeri 5 Metro Pusat who have consistently implemented the 2013 Curriculum. The results show that the strategy for integrating character values is carried out in three main stages: (1) learning planning that explicitly includes character values in the lesson plan (RPP), (2) learning implementation that combines explicit and implicit approaches through habituation, teacher role-modelling, and collaborative thematic activities, and (3) character evaluation conducted through reflection, attitude observation, and anecdotal records. This study concludes that the success of character value integration is strongly influenced by the teacher’s awareness, the active role of students, and the support of the school environment. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the ongoing development of character education practices in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of peer tutoring on the ability to perform a bounce pass in basketball learning for seventh-grade students at SMPN 117 Jakarta Timur. The bounce pass technique is an essential skill in basketball, but many students struggle to master it. This is due to a lack of understanding of the mechanics of the movement and insufficient practice. Conventional teaching methods, which primarily rely on lectures and demonstrations, are considered less effective in improving students' skills. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest one-group design. The study involved 35 seventh-grade students at SMPN 117 Jakarta Timur who received treatment using the peer tutoring method. The instrument used was a bounce pass skill test, measured before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed using paired samples t-test to examine the difference in students' abilities before and after the peer tutoring method was applied. The results showed a significant improvement in students' bounce pass skills after the implementation of the peer tutoring method. The average improvement score was 4.689 points, with a significance value of p = 0.000. This indicates that the peer tutoring method effectively enhanced students' technical abilities in performing the bounce pass. Students felt more confident and active in the learning process due to the increased interaction with their peers. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the application of the peer tutoring method has a positive impact on improving students' bounce pass skills. Therefore, it is recommended to implement this method in basketball learning to enhance students' basic motor skills.
