Journal of Character Education Society (JCES) | ISSN 2614-3666, is one of the devotion journals managed by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Muhammadiyah University of Mataram and published every January and July. The publication of JCES aims to disseminate conceptual thinking and ideas, especially the results of community service, including: (1) science, applied, social, economic, cultural, ICT development, and administrative services, (2) training and improvement of educational technology outcomes, agriculture, information and communication, and religion (3) Teaching and empowering community and community of students, youth and community institutions on an ongoing basis. All scope is realized to the community to form a society of character and uphold the values of education.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi covid-19 masih berlangsung hingga sekarang. Tahun 2021 pemerintah mengeluarkan SK bersama dari kemendikbud, kemenag, kemenkes dan mendagri yang memutuskan bahwa kegiatan belajar mengajar sudah diizinkan di sekolah. Dalam mewujudkan merdeka belajar pada masa pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas adanya kegiatan yang dipilih, jika kegiatan pembelajaran yang disediakan hanya 1 kegiatan saja maka esensi dari merdeka belajar tidak bisa dimunculkan. Selain itu, kegiatan pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini harus mencakup 3 jenis main yaitu main sensorimotor, main peran dan main pembangunan. Sedangkan di lembaga – lembaga PAUD di desa betoyoguci jarang memfasilitasi jenis main peran dan main pembangunan. Untuk itu diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang merdeka belajar bagi guru melalui kegiatan seminar. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan seminar ini yaitu 1) melakukan kesepakatan dengan lembaga – lembaga PAUD di desa betoyoguci kec. Manyar kab. Gresik 2) perumusan, penyusunan materi dan publikasi kegiatan seminar pengabdian 3) pelaksanaan kegiatan seminar pengabdian. 4) pelaporan kegiatan seminar pengabdian. Jumlah peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah 10 peserta dan capaian kegiatan pada kegiatan seminar pengabdian adanya peningkatan pengetahuan guru terkait merdeka belajar anak usia di di masa pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas.Abstract:  The COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing. In 2021 the government issued a joint decree from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Home Affairs which decided that teaching and learning activities were permitted in schools.In realizing independent learning during the face-to-face learning period, there are limited activities to choose from, if only 1 learning activity is provided, then the essence of independent learning cannot be raised.In addition, learning activities for early childhood should include 3 types of play, namely sensorimotor play, role play and development play.Meanwhile, early childhood education institutions in the village of Betoyoguci rarely facilitate the type of role play and development play. For this reason, it is necessary to increase knowledge about independent learning for teachers through seminars. The stages of implementing this seminar are 1) making an agreement with early childhood education institutions in the village of Betoyoguci, Kec. Manyar kab. Gresik 2) formulation, preparation of materials and publication of service seminar activities 3) implementation of service seminar activities. 4) reporting of service seminar activities.The number of participants in this activity was 10 participants and the achievements of the activities at the service seminar activity were an increase in teacher knowledge related to independent learning for young children during the face-to-face learning period was limited.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah memberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan iSpring dalam mengoptimalisasikan pembelajaran untuk guru SD Tanah Bumbu. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan iSpring dalam mengoptimalisasikan pembelajaran, yaitu (1) memberikan penjelasan tentang aplikasi iSpring secara mendasar, (2) mengenalkan pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan iSpring, dan (3) diskusi dan tanya jawab antara narasumber dan peserta pelatihan. Metode penjaringan peserta dilakukan dengan bekerjasama dengan Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) SD Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 29 guru dari beberapa sekolah. Berdasarkan simpulan survei dengan Google Form yang dilakukan oleh tim PkM, diperoleh bahwa guru-guru SD di Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu sebagai peserta memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan iSpring. Kegiatan pelatihan ini hendaknya dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dalam implementasi penggunaan aplikasi iSpring yang dilakukan guru-guru tidak terbatas hanya di tingkat SD tetapi juga di tangkat SMP, dan SMA.Abstract:  The aim of this community service was to provide training in making interactive learning media using iSpring in optimizing learning for Tanah Bumbu Elementary School teachers. The methods used in the training activities for making interactive learning media using iSpring in optimizing learning, namely (1) providing an explanation of the basic iSpring application, (2) introducing the development of learning media using iSpring, and (3) discussing and asking questions. The method of selecting participants was carried out in collaboration with the Teacher Working Group of Elementary School in Tanah Bumbu Regency. The training participants were 29 teachers from several schools. Based on the conclusion of a survey using Google Forms conducted by the community service team, it was found that elementary school teachers in Tanah Bumbu Regency as participants gave a positive response to training activities for making interactive learning media using iSpring. This training activity should be carried out continuously in the implementation of the use of the iSpring application by teachers not only at the elementary level but also at the junior high, and high school.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melakukan analisis data dan interpretasi output software uji hipotesis menjadi penting untuk ditingkatkan karena menjadi kebutuhan dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir (skripsi). Software yang digunakan juga seharusnya mudah diperoleh, digunakan, dan dioperasikan oleh mahasiswa. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan kegiatan ini adalan mengenalkan software Jeffreys’s Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) kepada mahasiswa yang memiliki fitur lebih lengkap dibandingkan software statistics lainnya. Kegiatan dilakukan dua tahap yakni (10 penyampaian materi uji hipotesis penelitian kuantitatif dan (2) praktik software JASP. Hasil evaluasi menggunakan angket menunjukkan bahwa 26 peserta memiliki tingkat pemahaman sebesar 83,21% yang berarti sangat baik.Abstract:  The ability of students in conducting data analysis and interpretation of the output of hypothesis test software becomes important to be improved because it becomes a necessity in completing the final task (thesis). The software used should also be easy to obtain, use, and operate by students. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to introduce Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software to students who have more complete features than other statistical software. The activity is carried out in two stages, namely (1) explain of quantitative research hypothesis test material and (2) JASP software practice. The results of the evaluation using questionnaire showed that 26 participants had an understanding level of 83.21% which means very good

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pemandu wisata melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat.  Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kinerja masyarakat di wisata Air Merah Mungguk. Desa Mungguk memiliki obyek wisata Air Merah, namun masih mengalami kesulitan dalam hal memandu wisatawan yang datang. Hal ini dikarenakan masih minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang memandu wisata. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah survey, sosialisasi, pelatihan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Bentuk-bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat mulai dari proses perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Program-program yang telah dilaksanakan meliputi sosialisasi sapta pesona dan pelatihan pemandu wisata. Dari kegiatan monitoring dan evaluasi terlihat bahwa setelah mengikuti pelatihan-pelatihan yang dilakukan, pemahaman warga tentang cara memandu wisatawan meningkat.  Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan pemandu wisata ini meningkatkan kualitas kinerja pemandu wisata di wisata Air Merah desa Mungguk.Abstract: This service activity aims to provide tour guide training through community empowerment. This aims to improve the quality of community performance in Air Merah Mungguk tourism. Mungguk Village has Air Merah tourist attraction, but it still has difficulties in guiding tourists who come. This is due to the lack of public knowledge about guiding tours. The approach used in this activity is survey, outreach, training, monitoring and evaluation. Forms of community empowerment involve community participation starting from the planning process and implementing activities. The programs that have been implemented include socialization of Sapta Pesona and tour guide training. From the monitoring and evaluation activities, it can be seen that after participating in the trainings carried out, the residents' understanding of how to guide tourists has increased. The empowerment of the community through tour guide training can improve the quality of the performance of tour guides in Air Merah, Mungguk village.

Abstract

Abstrak: Keberagaman dalam masyarakat merupakan suatu hal yang wajar dan biasa terjadi dalam situasi dan kondisi apapun. Secara ideal, perbedaan hendaknya diatur dan dibiasakan sebagai alat pemersatu dalam masyarakat. Meskipun pada kenyataan sehari-hari, banyak dijumpai keberagaman dan perbedaan yang justru dianggap sebagai alat untuk memecah belah. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika sebagai semboyan dan simbol, merupakan sebuah alat yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pemersatu dalam masyarakat. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengingat kembali dan membangkitkan kembali semangat Bhinneka Tunggal Ika dalam masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi dengan diskusi dua arah yang terpadu, dapat menghasilkan berbagai macam masukan serta dapat mendengarkan secara langsung mengenai hal-hal yang terjadi dalam masyarakat mengenai pelaksanaan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Respon yang sangat baik dari masyarakat Kapanewon Seyegan, memberikan gambaran bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi menjadi sebuah agenda yang sangat bermanfaat.Abstract:  Diversity in society is a natural and common thing in any situation and condition. Ideally, differences should be organized and accustomed as a unifying tool in society. Although in everyday reality, there is a lot of diversity and differences that are actually considered as tools to divide. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika as a motto and symbol, is a tool that can be used as a unifying in society. The purpose of this community service is to recall and revive the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in the community. Through the method of socialization with an integrated two-way discussion, it can produce a variety of inputs and can listen directly about the things that occur in the community regarding the implementation of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The method used in this community service is socialization with integrated two-way discussions, can generate various kinds of input and can listen directly to things happening in society regarding the implementation of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Excellent response from the community of Kapanewon Seyegan, giving an idea that socialization activities become a very useful agenda.

Abstract

Abstrak: Masih banyak mahasiswa yang kesulitan memahami dan membuat proposal PTK. Hal ini dikarenakan belum memiliki karya tulis ilmiah berupa PTK. Rata-rata penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan penulisan PTK dengan baik dan benar, mahasiswa belum terbiasa menulis dan meneliti, kemudian belum adanya kegiatan pelatihan tentang PTK. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa dalam membuat proposal penelitian tindakan kelas dengan baik dan benar. Lokasi kegiatan pegabdian dilaksanakan di Mataram bertempat di Aula FKIP Ummat dengan tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari sosialisasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan penilaian. Hasil Pengabdian bahwa pelaksanaan pelatihan penulisan penelitian tindakan kelas bagi dapat peningkatan pemahaman dalam membuat proposal penelitian tindakan kelas dengan baik dan benar dan dapat memahami cara menganalisis masalah dikelas, merumuskan masalah dan membuat metode pelaksaan PTK.Abstract: There are still many students who have difficulty understanding and making Class Action Research proposals. This is because it does not have a scientific paper in the form of Class Action Research. The average cause is a lack of knowledge of writing properly and correctly, students are not used to writing and researching, then there is no training activity on Class Action Research. The purpose of this devotional activity is to know the student's understanding in making class action research proposals properly and correctly. The location of pegabdian activities is held in Mataram located in the Ummat FKIP Hall with the stages of activities consisting of socialization, implementation of activities and assessment. The result of devotion that the implementation of classroom action research writing training can improve understanding in making class action research proposals properly and correctly and can understand how to analyze problems in class, formulate problems and create ptk torture methods.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui seminar ini adalah memberikan ilmu dan wawasan baru kepada generasi muda terutama untuk membuka semangat  jiwa entrepreneur Islami sehingga menumbuhkan semangat jiwa generasi muda untuk menjadi wirausaha islami. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah. Desa Boneatiro Barat merupakan Desa yang memiliki banyak potensi. Membuka  peluang bagi generasi muda untuk menjadi seorang wirausahawan. Kehadiran pemuda wirausaha menjadi faktor pendorong dalam meningkatkan aktivitas ekonomi di Desa ini. Wirausaha muda akan berdampak pada kesempatan kerja dan peningkatan pendapatan sekaligus mengurangi kemiskinan di kalangan penduduk. Namun yang dipahami generasi muda tentang kekhususan kewirausahaan, mulai dari konsep dan karakteristiknya, termasuk kewirausahaan Islami, masih relatif rendah.  Operasi bisnis masih dilakukan atas dasar pengalaman tanpa didukung oleh pemahaman dan ilmu yang memadai. Adanya tempat-tempat terbuka untuk melaksanakan bisnis  adalah salah satu faktor yang mendorong pemuda untuk berbisnis di samping faktor lainnya. Hanya saja banyak pemuda di desa ini justru mencari pekerjaan di luar dari Desa Boneatiro Barat. Abstract:  The purpose of community service activities through this seminar is to provide new knowledge and insights to the younger generation, especially to open the spirit of the Islamic entrepreneurial spirit so as to foster the spirit of the young generation to become Islamic entrepreneurs. The method used in this activity is the lecture method. Boneatiro Barat Village is a village that has a lot of potential. Opening opportunities for the younger generation to become entrepreneurs. The presence of entrepreneurial youth is a driving factor in increasing economic activity in this village. Young entrepreneurs will have an impact on job opportunities and increase income while reducing poverty among the population. However, what the younger generation understands about the specifics of entrepreneurship, starting from its concepts and characteristics, including Islamic entrepreneurship, is still relatively low. Business operations are still carried out on the basis of experience without being supported by adequate understanding and knowledge. The existence of open places to do business is one of the factors that encourage youth to do business in addition to other factors. It's just that many youths in this village are looking for work outside of Boneatiro Barat Village.

Abstract

Abstrak: Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi, media sosial telah menjadi platform yang sangat berpengaruh dalam kehidupan sosial. Namun, keberadaan media sosial juga membuka ruang bagi munculnya berbagai bentuk kejahatan siber (cyber crime). Kejahatan ini dapat mencakup penipuan, pencurian data pribadi, perundungan daring (cyberbullying), hingga penyebaran konten ilegal. Pendidikan kewarganegaraan memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang bahaya cyber crime serta cara menghadapinya. Pendidikan kewarganegaraan memiliki peran penting dalam mengurangi dampak cyber crime dengan meningkatkan kesadaran, etika digital, dan pemahaman hukum di kalangan masyarakat. Artikel ini mengulas peran pendidikan kewarganegaraan dalam menghadapi tantangan cyber crime dan pentingnya literasi digital di era media social. Artikel ini membahas hubungan antara cyber crime di media sosial dengan pendidikan kewarganegaraan serta strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya tersebut.Along with the rapid development of information technology, social media has become a very influential platform in social life. However, the existence of social media also opens up space for the emergence of various forms of cybercrime. These crimes can include fraud, theft of personal data, cyberbullying, and the spread of illegal content. Civic education has an important role in shaping people's character and knowledge about the dangers of cyber crime and how to deal with it. Civic education has an important role in reducing the impact of cyber crime by increasing awareness, digital ethics, and legal understanding among the public. This article reviews the role of civic education in facing the challenges of cyber crime and the importance of digital literacy in the era of social media. This article discusses the relationship between cybercrime on social media and civic education and strategies that can be applied to increase public awareness of these dangers.
