Abstract

The main focus of this study revolves around the dimension of faculty involvement, encompassing direct interaction, support, and guidance within the context of mathematics instruction, vis-à-vis student satisfaction. This research adopts a quantitative approach employing a survey methodology aimed at exploring the impact of faculty involvement in the mathematics leraning process on student satisfaction levels. The respondents consist of 13 male and 31 female students. The research instrument utilized is a questionnaire comprising 10 questions, employing a Likert scale ranging from strongly disagree (score 1) to strongly agree (score 5). Indicators within the questionnaire cover various aspects such as the clarity of instructional materials, information related to recent developments in the field of mathematics, and support in overcoming learning difficulties. Data analysis for this research utilizes descriptive statistics and the student's t-test with the assistance of the JASP software. The criterion for drawing conclusions is if the Sig value < 0.05, then H0 is rejected, indicating a significant influence of lecturer involvement on student satisfaction. The results of the hypothesis test using the paired sample T-Test show a t-test value of 0.106 with a p-value of 0.917. The interpretation of the hypothesis test results supports the null hypothesis (H0), stating the absence of differences in the perceptions of male and female students regarding lecturer involvement in teaching mathematics and its impact on student satisfaction. With a high p-value of 0.917, indicating homogeneity in perceptions, further research is recommended to explore factors that may influence students' perceptions of lecturer involvement. The conclusion of this study is expected to provide in-depth insights into the relationship between lecturer involvement and student satisfaction, laying the groundwork for efforts to enhance the quality of mathematics education at the university level.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the level of mathematical literacy in the context of daily life among high school students, with a focus on differences between male and female students. The research method employed is quantitative with a survey approach. A total of 13 male students and 24 female students from various high schools participated as subjects. The instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire consisting of 15 statements designed to measure students' perceptions and understanding of mathematical literacy in everyday life. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test to compare differences in responses between male and female students. The analysis results showed a paired sample t-test value of -0.368, with a significance value (sig) of 0.719. These findings indicate that there is no significant difference between the responses of male and female students regarding mathematical literacy in the context of daily life. Nevertheless, this research provides an important contribution to understanding students' perceptions of mathematical literacy and its implications in the educational context. Further research can delve into the factors influencing students' perceptions of mathematical literacy and broaden the sample scope to obtain a more holistic understanding of the phenomena under investigation.

Abstract

Modern education not only focuses on the development of cognitive abilities but also emphasizes the importance of shaping students' character to be balanced spiritually, socially, and environmentally. The Tri Hita Karana philosophy, rooted in Balinese culture, provides a framework that underscores the significance of harmonious relationships between humans and God (Parahyangan), humans and others (Pawongan), and humans and nature (Palemahan). This research aims to examine the synergy between the Tri Hita Karana philosophy and the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model in creating holistic and sustainable learning. The method used in this study is a literature review, where various relevant works on Tri Hita Karana and PBL are analyzed to understand the integration of these two concepts in the educational context. The analysis is conducted by identifying how each dimension of Tri Hita Karana can be applied in PBL-based projects, as well as the impact of this synergy on students' character development. The results of this review indicate that integrating Tri Hita Karana with PBL can create a learning environment that supports students' spiritual, social, and environmental awareness development. Through PBL, students engage in real-world projects that not only enhance academic skills but also instill values of harmony with God, others, and nature. This synergy results in a more meaningful, relevant, and sustainable educational approach, where students not only improve their cognitive skills but also become socially and environmentally responsible individuals.

Abstract

Background:Mathematics education is crucial for developing various skills in students, including logical, analytical, systematic, interpersonal, critical, and creative thinking. These skills are essential due to the role of mathematics in science and technology, as well as its significance in achieving educational goals.Aim:The study aimed to evaluate the impact of creative thinking abilities and interpersonal intelligence on students' cooperation skills.Method:This quantitative research employed multiple linear regression analysis techniques. It involved selecting subjects, developing and validating research instruments, disseminating these instruments, and then tabulating and analyzing the data.Result:The analysis yielded the equation Y=-5.588+0.694X_1+0.366X_2, indicating a relationship between the dependent variable (Y) and the independent variables (X_1, X_2). Creative thinking ability was found to have the most significant impact on cooperation skills, contributing 69.4%. The determination value (R²) was 0.555, suggesting that 55.5% of the variance in cooperation skills could be explained by variations in creative thinking ability and interpersonal intelligence. Conclusion:The study concluded that both creative thinking ability and interpersonal intelligence significantly influence students' cooperation skills. The ANOVA test further confirmed the effect of these independent variables on the dependent variable, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁).

Abstract

Multivariable nonlinear equation systems are commonly found in various disciplines such as engineering, physics, economics, and artificial intelligence. Analytical solutions are often difficult to obtain, necessitating the use of numerical approaches. This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of the Levenberg-Marquardt and Trust-Region methods in solving multivariable nonlinear equation systems. Computational simulations were performed using MATLAB software with an error tolerance of 0.001 and a maximum iteration limit of 100. The test system involved a combination of trigonometric, exponential, and polynomial functions to ensure computational complexity. The study's results show that both methods are capable of achieving solutions with high accuracy. The Levenberg-Marquardt method demonstrated higher efficiency, achieving convergence in only 2 iterations with a final error of 1.866 10. In contrast, the Trust-Region method required 27 iterations but yielded a smaller error of 4.768 10. Three-dimensional visualization revealed that the solution was obtained from the intersection point of the three function surfaces. These findings confirm that the selection of numerical methods should consider the priority between iteration efficiency and solution accuracy. The contribution of this research lies in presenting a comparison of the performance of two popular algorithms with controlled simulation parameters, which can serve as a basis for the development of numerical methods in larger dimensional systems
