Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effects of skipping and squat jump exercises and to compare their effects on lower limb power among athletes of the Mitra Utama Volleyball Club. This study employed an experimental method using a two group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 athletes divided into two groups, each receiving skipping or squat jump training for 12 sessions. Lower limb power was measured using a vertical jump test. Data were analyzed using the Liliefors normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test at a significance level of 0.005. The results showed that both skipping and squat jump exercises significantly improved lower limb power. However, no significant difference was found between the two training methods. It can be concluded that skipping and squat jump exercises have relatively equal effectiveness in enhancing lower limb power in volleyball athletes. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of calf raises training on long pass accuracy in soccer games for U-12 players of Blofour FC Club. This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest experimental design. The study sample consisted of 20 players aged 10–12 years who participated in a calf raises training program for four weeks with a frequency of twice per week (a total of eight meetings). The instrument used was a long pass accuracy test that has been declared valid and reliable. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that the average pretest score of 26.90 increased to 35.45 in the posttest, with an average increase of 8.55 points. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a calculated t value of 15.15 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicates a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Based on these results, it can be concluded that calf raises significantly improved long pass accuracy in U-12 soccer players at Blofour FC. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan yoga Surya Namaskara terhadap coping stress pada atlet sepak bola sebagai upaya mendukung kesehatan mental dan performa atlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh latihan yoga surya namaskara terhadap coping stress atlet sepak bola. Metode eksperimen digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini melibatkan 22 orang atlet sepak bola, instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa kuesioner coping stress yang diberikan satu kali kepada sampel. Setelah data diperoleh, analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji korelasi SPSS Versi 29. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap coping stress atlet sepak bola. Penelitian ini menyimpulkann bahwa Latihan yoga Surya Namaskara memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan coping stress pada atlet sepak bola. Melalui kombinasi gerakan, pernapasan, dan konsentrasi, latihan ini dapat membantu atlet mengelola tekanan fisik dan mental secara lebih efektif, sehingga mendukung kesehatan mental serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan performa atlet. Simpulan, latihan yoga Surya Namaskara memiliki efek positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan mengatasi stres di kalangan atlet sepak bola di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Kata Kunci:Yoga Surya Namaskara, Coping Stress, Atlet Sepak Bola

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of training treatment on improving student learning outcomes and to compare the effectiveness of conventional and experimental methods. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of students, with samples divided into conventional and experimental groups. Both groups were given a pretest to determine initial ability, then the experimental group received a specific treatment, while the conventional group used regular learning methods, and ended with a posttest. The results showed a significant improvement in both groups, as evidenced by a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05). The mean difference in the conventional group was -2.200 and in the experimental group was -4.150, indicating that the experimental group showed greater improvement. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of arm muscle strength training on upper servis ability in volleyball games. The research method used an experiment with a pretest-posttest design. The research sample was 15 male volleyball extracurricular students at SD Negeri 1 Dukuh Kabupaten Karangasem using total sampling technique. The research instrument was a test and measurement of upper passing ability, with criterion validity based on predetermined standards. The results showed that there was an increase in the average upper passing score from the pretest of 40.93 to 50.07 in the posttest, with a difference of 9.14. In addition, the statistical test results showed a significance value (sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. These findings suggest that arm muscle strength training contributes to improving upper passing skills by improving players' propulsion and movement stability. This study provides important implications for volleyball coaches and extracurricular coaches in designing more effective and evidence-based training programs to improve player performance. Thus, arm muscle strength training can be used as one of the recommended training methods to improve the quality of the upper passing technique in volleyball games. Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes in variations of non-locomotor movements in horse stances and locomotor movements in pencak silat steps using audio-visual media. The learning outcomes in attitude assessment showed a significant improvement, from a class average score of 85 in Cycle I to 89.86 in Cycle II and 92.83 in Cycle III. The learning outcomes in knowledge assessment showed a significant increase, from a class average score of 78 in Cycle I to 86.72 in Cycle II and 92.83 in Cycle III for fifth-grade students at the Education Unit of SD Negeri 1 Rendang, Karangasem Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study is a classroom action research study conducted in three cycles. The subjects were 29 fifth-grade students at the Education Unit of SD Negeri 1 Rendang in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results showed that the learning completion percentage increased from 65% in Cycle I to 97% in Cycle II and 97% in Cycle III. Meanwhile, learning outcomes in the skills assessment showed a significant improvement, with a class average score of 82 in Cycle I, rising to 87.75 in Cycle II and 88.62; and a learning completion percentage of 65% in Cycle I, rising to 97% in Cycle II and 97% in Cycle III. In conclusion, learning outcomes for variations in non-locomotor movements in horse stances and locomotor movements in Pencak Silat steps in Karangasem Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year were improved through audio-visual media and the 8-point line aid. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the physical fitness of elementary school students, particularly the relationship between nutritional intake levels, physical activity, and learning motivation with students’ physical fitness. The background of this study is the increasing inactivity in physical activities, the low nutritional status and physical fitness test results, and the reduced duration of physical education (PJOK) lessons at the elementary school level. The method used was a quantitative approach with a correlational research design to analyze the relationship between nutritional intake levels, physical activity, and motivation toward students’ physical fitness. Data were collected using questionnaires and physical fitness tests. The population and sample consisted of 350 students from seven public elementary schools in Jati District, Kudus Regency. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The results showed that: (1) the relationship between nutritional intake levels and physical fitness was not significant (p = 0.204), where the average nutritional intake was in the “moderate” category with a total of 265.8 kcal, far below the daily requirement of 500 kcal; (2) there was a significant relationship between physical activity and physical fitness (p = 0.008), indicating that a lack of physical activity negatively affects physical fitness; (3) motivation did not show a significant effect on physical fitness (p = 0.173), with external factors having higher values compared to internal factors; and (4) overall, there was a significant influence of the combination of nutritional intake, physical activity, and motivation on the level of physical fitness (p = 0.003). In conclusion, there is an influence of nutritional status, physical activity, and learning motivation on students’ physical fitness. The better the nutritional status, physical activity, and learning motivation of students, the better their level of physical fitness will be. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the results of physical fitness tests among adolescent athletes based on gender (male and female). The population of this study consisted of 135 students enrolled in the Special Sports Class (KKO) at SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta. The research method employed was descriptive quantitative. Data were collected using physical condition test instruments, and the data analysis technique used descriptive percentage analysis. The results of the statistical analysis from various physical tests conducted on female and male groups showed differences in mean scores, group differences, and significance levels (p-values) as follows: (1) The Bleep Test showed that the mean score of the female group was 5.0372, while the male group scored higher at 8.1178, with a difference of -3.08058. The p-value of 0.002 indicates that this difference is statistically significant, meaning that males performed significantly better than females in this test. (2) The T-Test showed that the female group had a mean of 11.9130, slightly higher than males at 10.7727, with a difference of 1.14030; however, the p-value of 0.098 indicates that this difference was not statistically significant. (3) In the Push-Up test, the female mean was 28.3721, slightly lower than males at 29.1688, with a difference of -0.79674; the p-value of 0.676 indicates no significant difference. (4) The Sit-Up test showed that females had a mean of 41.6279, lower than males at 49.9221, with a difference of 8.29417; the p-value of 0.000 indicates a statistically significant difference. (5) In the Dynamic Balance test, females had a mean of 37.7907, lower than males at 47.8831, with a difference of 10.09242; the p-value of 0.000 indicates a significant difference. (6) The V-Sit and Reach test showed that females had a mean of 16.5116, higher than males at 14.1277, with a difference of 2.38397; however, the p-value of 0.058 indicates that this difference was not statistically significant. (7) The Standing Broad Jump test showed that females had a mean of 1.2635, nearly similar to males at 1.3074, with a difference of 0.17020; the p-value of 0.797 indicates no significant difference. (8) The Hand and Eye Coordination test showed that females had a mean of 19.3488, slightly higher than males at 18.0658, with a difference of 1.53882; the p-value of 0.406 indicates no significant difference. (9) The 30-meter Sprint test showed that females had a mean of 5.6212, higher than males at 5.0234, with a difference of 0.59778; the p-value of 0.451 indicates no significant difference. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the comparison of physical fitness test results among adolescent athletes based on gender in the Special Sports Class (KKO) of SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta shows that there are several significant differences in physical abilities between male and female groups. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine: (1) the relationship between physical fitness and learning achievement in Physical Education (PJOK) among students of SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Jawa, (2) the relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement in Physical Education (PJOK) among students of SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Jawa, and (3) the relationship between physical fitness and learning motivation simultaneously with learning achievement in Physical Education (PJOK) among students of SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Jawa. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The research sample consisted of 24 students, including 11 male students and 13 female students, comprising all fourth- and fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Jawa who were actively enrolled in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The instrument used to measure physical fitness was the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) for ages 10–13 years. Learning motivation was measured using a questionnaire, while learning achievement was obtained from the Mid-Semester Assessment (PTS) report card scores for the Physical Education (PJOK) subject in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The data analysis techniques used were correlation analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) physical fitness partially has a significant and positive relationship with learning achievement in Physical Education (PJOK) among students of SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Jawa; (2) learning motivation partially has a significant and positive relationship with learning achievement in Physical Education (PJOK) among students of SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Jawa; and (3) physical fitness and learning motivation simultaneously have a significant relationship with learning achievement in Physical Education (PJOK) among students of SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Jawa. Therefore, it can be concluded that physical fitness and learning motivation are important factors that contribute to improving students’ learning achievement in Physical Education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explore various factors that influence cardiovascular endurance among students participating in the athletic extracurricular program at SDN Danau Sadar, with a focus on comparing two physical training methods, namely interval training and circuit training, as well as examining leg length as a moderating factor. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a 2×2 factorial design. The population consisted of all students participating in the athletic extracurricular program at SDN Danau Sadar, totaling 32 students. The sample was selected using the 27% upper group and 27% lower group formula from the total population, resulting in 16 students. Data collection was conducted using the PACER test to measure cardiovascular endurance. Data analysis was performed using Two-Way ANOVA. The results of the study and analysis indicate that: (1) there is a significant difference in the effect of interval training and circuit training on cardiovascular endurance, as evidenced by an F value of 5.367 and a p value of 0.036 < 0.05. The circuit training group showed better cardiovascular endurance than the interval training group, with a posttest difference of 15.38; (2) there is a significant difference between short leg length and long leg length on cardiovascular endurance, as evidenced by an F value of 5.614 and a p value of 0.033 < 0.05. The long-leg group demonstrated better cardiovascular endurance than the short-leg group, with a posttest difference of 15.63; (3) there is no interaction between the type of training applied and leg length in influencing cardiovascular endurance, as evidenced by an F value of 0.379 and a p value of 0.550 > 0.05. In conclusion, circuit training is more effective than interval training in improving the cardiovascular endurance of students participating in the athletic extracurricular program, long leg length provides an advantage in cardiovascular endurance, and there is no interaction between training type and leg length in influencing cardiovascular endurance.
