Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the relationship between healthy lifestyle and fitness status of students of SMP Negeri 3 Gunung Bintang Awai, South Barito Regency; 2) the relationship between physical activity and fitness status of students, then the collected data were first validated using triangulation of sources and methods, then analyzed using interactive data analysis techniques which include data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions; 3) The relationship between nutritional status of students and physical activity of students of SMP Negeri 3 Gunung Bintang Awai, South Barito Regency; 4) The relationship between HRQL of students and healthy lifestyle and fitness level at SMP Negeri 3 Gunung Bintang Awai, South Barito Regency. Purposive sampling was used to collect research data from a population of 56 students in class VIII A and B. Physical activity using PAQ-A, physical fitness using TKJI, HRQL (Health-Related Quality Of Life) using a questionnaire, and nutritional status using a weight scale, height using a stadiometer, and BMI calculation are closed questionnaire instruments and healthy lifestyle questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, including Pearson correlation tests and regression analysis. The results showed a significant positive correlation between healthy lifestyles, physical activity, and nutritional status with overall fitness and HRQL. Students who adopted a healthy lifestyle, had a high level of physical activity, and had good nutritional status tended to have better levels of physical fitness and a higher quality of life. The conclusion of this study is that these three factors mutually contribute to improving physical fitness and HRQL in students. The implication of this study is the importance of comprehensive interventions to improve healthy lifestyles, encourage physical activity, and ensure optimal nutritional status in students of SMP Negeri 3 Gunung Bintang Awai, South Barito Regency. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of physical education in the development of character, motivation, and student participation through a literature review of relevant studies. The research method used is a narrative literature review with a staged selection process of articles obtained from the Scopus, Taylor & Francis, SAGE, and Google Scholar databases indexed in SINTA. The results of the study indicate that physical education plays an important role in developing character values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and sportsmanship through direct and interactive learning experiences. In addition, psychological factors such as autonomous motivation and body image perception influence the level of student participation in physical education learning. The implementation of inclusive pedagogical approaches, the incorporation of student voice, and the connection of learning activities with real-life contexts are also shown to enhance student engagement and learning experiences. In conclusion, physical education has a strategic role in supporting the development of character, motivation, and student participation; therefore, strengthening teacher competencies, providing policy support, and promoting innovative learning approaches are necessary to optimize the implementation of physical education. Abstract

This study aims to produce a design for the development of a smartphone-based biomotor paddletest application. An application is a program that is ready to be used to carry out a specific function for application service users as well as other applications that can be utilized by a targeted user group. An application also refers to problem-solving using a data processing technique that is generally oriented toward a desired or expected competency. The method used was Research and Development with the ADDIE design (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data analysis employed descriptive statistics with percentage-based results. The results of the study indicate that there is a need for an application that supports coaches’ performance. It is expected that the application will be attractive and beneficial for swimming coaches. In conclusion, the implementation of the smartphone-based biomotor paddletest application aims to improve physical condition abilities, introduce innovation to reduce boredom during training sessions, and enhance coaches’ knowledge in delivering physical conditioning materials to their athletes. Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the flipped classroom model in physical education learning. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by selecting and synthesizing eleven articles that met the inclusion criteria from 2019–2024, obtained from SINTA and Google Scholar databases. The results show that the implementation of the flipped classroom model has a positive impact on learning outcomes, independence, motivation, critical thinking skills, and the effectiveness of the physical education learning process. In conclusion, the flipped classroom model is an innovative learning approach that is feasible to be implemented to improve the quality of physical education learning in the digital era, considering teacher readiness, technology access, and students’ digital literacy.   Keywords: Flipped Classroom, Physical Education

Abstract

This study aims to describe the motivation and interest levels of students at SMP PGRI 2 Tempurejo towards pencak silat as a sport and cultural heritage. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach, involving 28 eighth-grade students as a sample selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with 12 statements (6 positive and 6 negative) using a four-choice likert scale. Data were analyzed using percentages. The results showed that students had a positive attitude towards pencak silat, as indicated by the highest scores for pride (82.14%) and recognition of positive values ​​(80.36%). The overall index of 73.07% indicates the "Agree" category. In conclusion, pencak silat has a strong appeal to students and remains relevant as a sport and school cultural activity. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of facilities and structured training patterns as motivators for students in achieving success in the sport of futsal at the POP Kota Cirebon event among students of SMPN 1 Kota Cirebon. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research participants consisted of representatives of futsal athletes from SMPN 1 Kota Cirebon who participated in the POP Kota Cirebon, the supervising teachers, and the school principal, selected thru purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out thru semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data triangulation techniques and with the help of NVivo software. The research results show that the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure, such as field conditions, training equipment, and supporting facilities, contributes to creating a comfortable and safe training environment. Furthermore, a systematically structured training regimen, including technical, tactical, physical, and mental exercises, can enhance students' discipline, self-confidence, and training enthusiasm. In conclusion, the achievement of the SMPN 1 Kota Cirebon futsal team in the POP Kota Cirebon competition is the result of the integration of adequate facilities, structured training programs, continuous evaluation, strong player selection, and high student motivation, which together build a tradition and ambition to achieve victory. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the life skills condition of Petanque athletes in Musi Rawas Regency and to identify aspects that require development through psychological strategies, particularly feedback and reinforcement. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach supported by qualitative data from interviews, involving 35 active Petanque athletes registered under the FOPI Musi Rawas Regency training program. The main instrument used was the Life Skill Inventory questionnaire, covering multiple dimensions, and the data were analyzed descriptively using means and percentages, complemented by qualitative interpretation. The results show that the overall level of athletes’ life skills is in the moderate category (67.3%), with goal setting and time management dimensions categorized as high, while emotional skill and leadership are relatively low. In addition, the lack of positive feedback and structured reinforcement from coaches was identified as a contributing factor to the weak development of athletes’ psychological aspects. In conclusion, psychological strategies through the application of feedback and reinforcement are recommended as effective approaches to improve athletes’ motivation, discipline, and social skills, and can serve as a foundation for developing psychology-based sports training programs at the regional level.   Keywords: Petanque Athletes, Feedback, Life Skills, Reinforcement, Psychological Strategies

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Experiential Learning model on students’ self-awareness in physical education (PJOK) by comparing learning outcomes between the experimental group and the control group. The method used is a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group design, involving 27 students in the experimental class and 27 students in the control class at SD Negeri Margajaya, Pagerageung District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The self-awareness instrument was developed based on indicators of emotional awareness, accurate self-assessment, and self-confidence. The results show that the data are normally distributed and that the variances of both groups are homogeneous based on normality and homogeneity tests. The independent samples t-test indicates a highly significant difference between the two groups (t = 33.594; p = 0.000), with the experimental group having a mean score of 97.22 and the control group 75.85. These findings indicate that the Experiential Learning model effectively enhances students’ self-awareness, including the ability to recognize and regulate emotions, accurately assess one’s abilities and limitations, and improve self-confidence in physical education activities. In conclusion, the Experiential Learning model is effective in improving students’ self-awareness and can be recommended as a learning approach that optimally develops students’ personal and social aspects.   Keywords: Experiential Learning, Physical Education Learning, Primary School, Self-Awareness

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce an initial design of an athletics learning model based on traditional games. The method used is descriptive analysis as a preliminary study within a series of research and development activities. The results of the study are in the form of an initial design of an athletics learning model based on the traditional game boy-boyan, which will be validated by experts and revised based on their feedback.
