Abstract

Verticultural plant cultivation can overcome the problem of limited land in agricultural fields. Verticulture is a method of cultivating plants which is done by placing planting media in containers such as paralon, large bamboo, gutters, large buckets and others which are arranged vertically. Verticulture system cultivation, a plant that is suitable for cultivation is the Arugula plant. However, with verticulture cultivation there is a problem where continuous watering of the planting media causes the media to become solid. The planting media in paralon is attempted to maintain the humidity of the media so that it can provide the nutrients needed by plants which have good drainage and aeration by using coconut fiber planting media and husk charcoal where the media has porous properties, maintains the humidity of the planting media, has good aerase and drainage. good, and provides nutrients for plants. The research method used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 4 control treatments (soil), SK1AS1 (coconut fiber 1:1 husk charcoal), SK1AS2 (coconut fiber 1:2 husk charcoal), SK2AS1 (coconut fiber 2:1 husk charcoal) with 6 groups. This treatment has a real influence on the quality of plant results, namely plant wet & dry weight (g), vitamin C (mg/g), chlorophyll (mg/l) and carotenoids mg/l). At the verticulture level, where there are upper (A), middle (B) and lower (C) levels, it has a relative influence on the quality of the plants because of the absorption of nutrients from the upper verticultural level downwards. Keywords: arugula, charcoal husk, coconut fiber, verticulture INTISARIBudidaya tanaman vertikultur dapat mengatasi permasalaham lahan sempit diliahan pertanian. Vertikultur merupakan cara budidaya tanaman yang dilakukan dengan menempatkan media tanam dalam wadah seperti paralon, bambu besar, talang, ember besar dan yang lainnya yang disusun secara vertical. budidaya sistem vertikultur tanaman yang cocok untuk di budidayakan adalah tanaman Arugula.  Namun dengan budidaya vertikultur terdapat masalah dimana dengan penyiraman terus menerus pada media tanam menyebabkan media menjadi padat. Media tanam dalam paralon diusahakan untuk menjaga kelembapan media agar dapat menyediakan unsur hara yang dibutuhkan oleh tanaman yang memiliki drainase dan aerasi baik dengan memanfaatkan media tanam serabut kelapa dan arang sekam dimana mdia tersebut memiliki sifat berpori, menjaga kelembapan media tanam, memiliki aerase dan deranase yang baik, dan menyediakan nutrisi bagi tanaman. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) terdiri atas 4 perlakuan kontrol(Tanah), SK1AS1(Serabut kelapa 1:1 Arang sekam), SK1AS2(Serabut kelapa 1:2 Arang sekam), SK2AS1(Serabut kelapa 2:1 Arang sekam) dengan 6 kelompok. Pada perlakuan tersebut memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kualitas hasil tanaman yaitu Bobot basah&kering tanaman (g), vitamin C (mg/g), klorofil (mg/l) dan karotenoid mg/l). Pada tingkatan vertikultur dimana terdapat tingkatan atas(A), Tengah(B) dan bawah(C) relatif berpengaruh terhadap hasil kualitas tanaman karena adanya penyerapan nutrisi dari tingkat vertikultur atas turun kebawah. Kata kunci: arugula, arang sekam, serabut kelapa, vertikultur

Abstract

This research aims to determine 1) the attitudes of millennial farmers and the factors that influence them in carrying out vegetable agribusiness in Jambi City, 2) the sustainability of vegetable agribusiness in Jambi City, and 3) factors that directly or indirectly influence the attitudes of millennial farmers in the sustainability of vegetable agribusiness in Jambi City. The data source used in this research is primary data and uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results obtained are 1) the attitude of millennial farmers towards vegetable agribusiness in Jambi City can be categorized as very positive. The factors that influence it are internal factors and external factors in the quite positive category; 2) the sustainability of vegetable agribusiness in Jambi City can be categorized as quite sustainable; 3) there are significant direct and indirect influences on factors that influence the attitudes of millennial farmers in the sustainability of vegetable agribusiness in Jambi City

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di HKm Alam Lestari, Resort Jangkok, Kabupaten Lombok Barat dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat ketergantungan petani terhadap sumber daya hutan serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi ketergantungan terhadap sumber daya hutan. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian yaitu metode deskriptif. Perhitungan ketergantungan menggunakan dua aspek, yaitu pendapatan dan serapan tenaga kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata pendapatan petani dari HKm sebesar 24.686.553,52/LLG/tahun atau sekitar 82,66% dari total  pendapatan keseluruhan petani. Adapun rata-rata serapan tenaga kerja HKm sebesar 199.75 HOK/orang/tahun atau sekitar 70,77% dari total keseluruhan. Tingkat ketergantungan petani di HKm Alam Lestari masuk dalam kategori Tinggi dengan nilai skor 779,04. Adapun faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi ketergantungan petani antara lain sumber penghasilan, produktivitas hasil hutan, produktivitas kerja, dan kesempatan kerja di bidang lain.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of concentration and interval of application of kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and best results of kailan plants (Brassica oleracea). The research was carried out from May to July 2023 on land around Sekaran Village, Wonosari, Klaten with an altitude of ± 71 meters above sea level. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatments, namely the concentration of kepok banana peel POC and the interval for giving kepok banana peel POC. The concentration treatment consists of 4 levels (P0: 0 ml/L water, P1: 150 ml/L water, P2: 250 ml/L water, P3: 350 ml/L water) and spraying intervals I1 (every 3 days) & I2 (every 6 days). There were 8 experimental units with 4 replications where each experimental unit consisted of 3 sample plants so there were 96 plants. Plant height, number of leaves, root volume, fresh plant weight, and plant consumption weight are the observation parameters. The results showed that concentration had a significant effect on plant height. The P0 concentration gave the best results on kailan plant height. Spraying intervals have a significant effect on the number of leaves, root volume, and fresh plant weight. The I2 spraying interval provides the best results for the growth and yield of kailan plants. The best interaction was also produced by the P3I2 treatment (giving kepok banana peel POC 350 ml/L of water with spraying intervals every 6 days). Key-words: Concentration, Interval, Kailan                     INTISARI                  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi dan interval pemberian pupuk organik cair kulit pisang kepok terhadap pertumbuhan serta hasil terbaik tanaman kailan (Brassica oleracea). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei s/d Juli 2023 di lahan sekitar Desa Sekaran, Wonosari, Klaten dengan ketinggian tempat ± 71 mdpl. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua perlakuan yaitu konsentrasi POC kulit pisang kepok dan interval pemberian POC kulit pisang kepok. Perlakuan konsentrasi terdiri dari 4 taraf (P0: 0 ml/L air, P1: 150 ml/L air, P2: 250 ml/L air, P3: 350 ml/L air) dan interval penyemprotan  I1 (3 hari sekali) & I2 (6 hari sekali). Terdapat 8 unit percobaan dengan 4 kali ulangan dimana tiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 3 tanaman sampel sehingga terdapat 96 tanaman. Tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, volume akar, berat tanaman segar, dan berat konsumsi tanaman menjadi parameter pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman. Konsentrasi P0 memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman kailan. Interval penyemprotan berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun, volume akar dan berat tanaman segar. Interval penyemprotan I2 memberikan hasil terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kailan. Interaksi terbaik juga dihasilkan oleh perlakuan P3I2 (pemberian POC kulit pisang kepok 350 ml/L air dengan interval penyemprotan 6 hari sekali). Kata kunci: Interval, Kailan, Konsentrasi

Abstract

Azotobacter bacteria are non-symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria that fix free nitrogen from the air. It is hoped that the nitrogen that has been fixed by Azotobacter bacteria can be used by plants to help corn grow. This research was carried out for 4 months, in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan Province, starting from preparing the planting media until the plants reached the maximum vegetative phase. Presentation of soil data analysis was obtained from the Bogor Soil Research Institute Laboratory, Soil Chemistry and Fertility Laboratory and Soil Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University. This research was carried out as an experiment in polybags using a method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications so that there were 20 sample units. The treatment for administering Azotobacter bacterial isolates was as follows: P0 = no isolate, P1 = 30 ml of isolate, P2 = 60 ml of isolate, P3 = 90 ml of isolate, P4 = 120 ml of isolate. Variables observed in this study included total nitrogen, available nitrogen (NO3- and NH4+), soil acidity (pH), soil organic carbon, azotobacter population, plant height (cm), stem diameter (mm), plant dry weight (grams). The results showed that giving 30 ml of Azotobacter bacterial isolate (P1) increased ammonium by 46.31%, nitrate by 14.73%, Azotobacter population by 118.86%, plant height by 6.14%, plant diameter by 8.06%, weight plant dryness was 26.24% while there was a decrease in soil pH of 0.88%, soil organic carbon 3.53%, total soil nitrogen 4.12%.Keywords: azotobacter; nitrogen fixing; peat, sweet cornINTISARIBakteri Azotobacter adalah bakteri penambat nitrogen non-simbiosis yang memfiksasi nitrogen bebas dari udara. Nitrogen yang telah ditambat oleh bakteri Azotobacter diharapkan dapat digunakan tanaman sehingga membantu pertumbuhan jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan, di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura, Kota Pontianak, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat mulai dari persiapan media tanam hingga tanaman mencapai fase vegetatife maksimum. Penyajian data analisis tanah didapat dari Laboratorium Balai Penelitian Tanah Bogor, Laboratorium Kimia dan Kesuburan Tanah serta Laboratorium Biologi Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada percobaan dalam polybag dengan metode menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan sehingga terdapat 20unit sampel. Perlakuan pemberian isolat bakteri Azotobacter adalah sebagai berikut: P0 = tanpa isolat, P1 = 30 ml isolat, P2 = 60 ml iolat, P3 = 90 ml isolat, P4 = 120 ml isolat. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi nitrogen total, nitrogen tersedia (NO3- dan NH4+), kemasaman tanah (pH), karbon organik tanah, populasi azotobacter, tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter batang (mm), berat kering tanaman (gram). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian isolat bakteri Azotobacter sebanyak 30 ml (P1) meningkatan amonium sebesar 46,31%, nitrat 14,73%, populasi azotobacter 118,86%, tinggi tanaman 6,14%, diameter tanaman 8,06%, berat kering tanaman 26,24% sedangkan terdapat penurunan pH tanah sebesar 0,88%, karbon organik tanah 3,53%, nitrogen total tanah 4,12%.Kata kunci: azotobacter; menambat nitrogen; gambut, jagung manis

Abstract

Green deli honey guava (Syzygium aqueum) is a fruit plant that grows in tropical areas. The honey guava plant is popular with many people because it has many health benefits. This research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two treatments, namely vegetable compost and multi function liquid fertilizer. Vegetable Compost (A) of 4  treatment levels, namely K0 = 0 g/polybag, K1 = 160 g/polybag, K2 = 320 g/polybag, K3 = 480 g/polybag. Multi function liquid fertilizer (K) consists of 3 treatment levels, namely, K0 = 0 ml/ liter of water /plot, K1 = 6 ml/liter of water /plot, K2 = 12 ml/liter of water/plot. That results of this research were that Vegetable Compost and Multi Funcional Liquid Fertilizer had no effect on all observation parameters such as plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), branch length (cm), number of branches (branches), stem diameter (mm). Keywords: green deli honey guava,vVegetable compost, multi funcional liquid fertilizer INTISARIJambu madu deli hijau (Syzygium aqueum) merupakan tanaman buah yang tumbuh di daerah tropis. Tanaman jambu madu digemari banyak orang karena memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompoka (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua perlakuan yaitu Kompos Sayuran dan Pupuk Cair Multi Fungsi. Kompos Sayuran teridir dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu K0 = 0 g/polybag, K1 = 160 g/polybag, K2 = 320 g/polybag, K3 = 480 g/polybag. Pupuk Cair Multi Fungsi (K) terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu, K0 = 0 ml/ liter air/plot, K1 = 6 ml/liter air/plot, K2 = 12 ml/liter air/plot. Abstract

Raya Sub-district, Kubu Raya Regency on 4 lands namely Secondary Forest (HS), Shrubs (SB), Oil Palm (KS) and Pineapple (NS) which took place in April-June 2024. Research parameters: fill weight, peat maturity, peat depth, C-organic, CEC, KB, P-Total and K-Total. The data obtained was analyzed and then descriptive. The results showed that the depth of the peat was KS 5.05 m, HS 5.60 m, SB 6.25 and NS 6.10 m. The average pH (H2O) of the peat was highest in the soil. The average pH (H2O) of peat soil in the four land uses was 4.2 with very low criteria. The results of the peat maturity analysis with the average results on the four land uses have a hemic maturity category and have a P-total and K-total nutrient status of the soil classified as low, the CEC and C-organic status of the soil is very high and the base saturation level is very low so that the soil fertility status on the four lands is low. Keywords: soil physics, peat, fertility status

Abstract

The higher of human population encourages the fulfillment of food security. Food security globally and in Indonesia can be supported through green sustainable agricultural activities, either one is the use of liquid organic fertilizer. However, the use of liquid organic fertilizer is still not widely used in Indonesia (Serang City) and the sales are low. This study aims to analyze the decision process of purchasing Jimmy Hantu Liquid Organic Fertilizer (JH-LOF) at Bintang Tani Abadi (BTA) Agriiculture Store Serang City. This study used quantitative methods with explanatory survey that took data from 65 responndents. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis to analyze the JH-LOF purchase decision process. The results showed that the JH-LOF purchase decision process carried out by consumers prioritized product quality and fertilizer use experience as a reference for purchasing.

Abstract

      Weed control is usually carried out on oil palm plantations using active chemicals, but on PT. UMADA is trying to use plastic mulch. Therefore, researchers want to analyze the differences in the costs of handling weeds using mulch and active chemicals. This research aims to determine the comparison of the costs of using mulch and active chemicals needed to control weeds in oil palm plantation areas, and how to solve problems regarding weed control in oil palm plantations. This research was conducted in block 6 division I, oil palm plantations PT. Umada, North Sumatra. This research was carried out from 21 September 2022 to 21 September 2023, on the PT UMADA plantation trial land where plastic mulch had been installed covering an area of 1 hectare. Data processing is based on primary data and secondary data obtained from company data. Based on the results of data analysis in the field and variance analysis, it is clear that the cost comparison is very different in the use of mulching and spraying active chemicals.  The cost of using active chemicals is IDR 541,000 cheaper than the cost of using plastic mulch of IDR 1,820,000 so it can be concluded that the use of active chemicals is more effective than the use of plastic mulch.Keey-words: active chemicals, cost, immature plants, mulch, weeds

Abstract

Sorghum is one of the food crop commodities that is resistant to drought, so it has the potential to be developed on dry land. Therefore, information is needed related to new high-yielding varieties of sorghum plants that are short-lived and have high production yields so that farmers want to cultivate sorghum plants. This study aims to determine the adaptability of several varieties of sorghum on dry land in Leak Village, Buluspesantren District, Kebumen Regency. The research will be conducted on farmers' land from December 2023 to March 2024. A total of 14 varieties of sorghum from the Cereal Plant Instrument Standard Testing Center, Maros, South Sulawasi were tested in this study. Planting is carried out by planting seeds directly as much as 2-3 seeds / planting holes on plots measuring 2 m x 3 m with a planting distance of 30 cm x 50 cm. The study was arranged using RAKL with 3 repetitions. The results of the variance analysis showed that there were differences between varieties tested on plant height characters, panicle/sample weight, seed/plot weight and 50% flowering age. Different varieties of sorghum affect the growth and yield of sorghum plants in the dry land of Leaky Village, Buluspesantren District, Kebumen Regency. In varieties Super 2 and Super 1 Have the highest plant height. The short-lived varieties of sorghum are UPCA S1 and Suri 3 varieties. Varieties that have high yields are Bioguma 2 and Soper 9.
