Abstract

This study aims to design fire evacuation routes using the Dijkstra Algorithm at RSUD I Lagaligo in East Luwu Regency, as part of the building renovation to improve service quality. The Dijkstra Algorithm was chosen for its ability to determine the shortest path from one point to another in a graph. This research employs systematic and logical data analysis techniques to obtain the closest evacuation routes. The results show a significant decrease in evacuation distance after the implementation of the Dijkstra algorithm, enhancing travel efficiency while maintaining consistent gathering points, except for some routes that experience changes in gathering points.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company operating in the furniture sector which produces tables, chairs and cupboards. This company's ordering system is make to order, both export and local. The production process at this company consists of 7 production process flows including the CPP process, wood process, assembly, sanding, painting, checking, packing. The production process takes place using 20 different types of machines. The problem faced by the company is delays in fulfilling orders that do not comply with the deadline provisions. This problem is caused by inefficient production scheduling, therefore researchers analyze production scheduling using the Campbell Dudeck Smith, Palmer and Dannenbring methods and analyze the costs. However, before scheduling machines, it is necessary to test data uniformity, adequacy, normal time and standard time. The aim of these three methods is to find the minimum makespan value. From the results of these calculations, the minimum Makespan value obtained from the CDS and Dannenbring methods is 813.33 hours in the order GFABCED, GFACBED, GFACEBD, GFBCAED, GFCABED, GFCBAED. If you use the company's calculation method, the makespan value is 1026 hours with details of 840 working hours and 186 overtime hours. The CDS and Dannenbring methods in the order GFABCED, GFACBED, GFACEBD, GFBCAED, GFCABED, GFCBAED require labor costs of Rp. 141,520,058, whereas if you use the company method the labor costs are Rp. 150,253,734 required. If compared, the savings cost is IDR 8,733,676 per worker.

Abstract

Coffee beverage processing is an essential process in the rapidly growing coffee industry. From selecting coffee beans to serving customers, each processing stage plays a crucial role in determining the final quality of the coffee beverage. This study provides a deep understanding of the time aspects in the production process and lays the groundwork for improving overall production process efficiency through MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique) framework analysis. The research method involves collecting data on coffee production processes from selecting coffee beans to serving customers. From the buyer's perspective, idle time reaches 260 seconds, while working time is only 105 seconds, resulting in a total time of 365 seconds. Meanwhile, from the operator's perspective, idle time is recorded at 60 seconds, with working time reaching 80 seconds, resulting in a total time of 100 seconds. From the machine's point of view, idle time is counted at 60 seconds, with working time reaching 220 seconds, resulting in a total time of 280 seconds. The research findings indicate that by applying the MOST framework, coffee beverage production time can be significantly reduced by making adjustments to several production stages, such as coffee bean grinding, coffee making process, and serving customers. These findings provide valuable insights for the coffee industry to improve production process efficiency and optimize consumer experience.

Abstract

The rapid development of industry and increasingly fierce competition between companies encourage companies to maintain their existence by planning and developing competitive strategies. Increasing efficiency is the key to achieving greater benefits, such as increasing the effectiveness of assets in product development and achieving production targets. Measuring productivity is an important indicator in managing company resources. The Sumedang ABC Tofu Factory, as a home industry, experienced a decline in productivity due to suboptimal use of resources, such as labor, raw materials, energy and capital. The American Productivity Center (APC) method is used to measure productivity and identify factors causing decreased productivity. The measurement results show a decrease in productivity in periods 2 and 3 compared to the base period. Based on the analysis of the productivity index, profitability index, and price improvement index, the improvements needed include saving and monitoring the use of raw materials and energy, as well as reducing less than optimal capital. Companies can implement improvement solutions to increase production productivity and strengthen competitiveness in the market

Abstract

The First-Person Shooter (FPS) game genre has gained significant popularity in the e-sports industry during 2022-2023. This study investigates the impact of physical environment and mouse settings on shooting accuracy in FPS gameplay. Participants were divided into beginner and advanced groups based on experience and playtime, or “flight hours.” Key variables include environmental factors—such as lighting and room temperature—and mouse settings, including mouse weight and DPI. Experiments were conducted using the AimLab application, with ANOVA and ANOM statistical tests used to determine optimal conditions. For advanced players, the ideal settings were identified as a room temperature of 16°C, no lighting, and a mouse weight of 100 grams. For beginners, the optimal condition was a room temperature of 16°C.

Abstract

Quality is an important aspect in the sector of a business. There is severe competition between business actors in achieving customer satisfaction through the principle of prioritizing quality over quantity. A similar thing was also done by one of the business actors in the Gesik area, namely UD Sketsa Embroidery, which is engaged in making semi-finished embroidered skullcaps. In its production, this business never knows in detail the defect causes that occur in its products and how to control them. So in this research, researchers conducted research analyzing defect control and how to improve its quality using statistical quality control methods. Based on the research results, this method can classify the types of defects that often occur, namely wrong direction embroidery defects, stacked embroidery, and unequal embroidery spacing. Knowledge of the weekly defect percentage at the time of sampling in this study was 1.57%. From the Pareto diagram, stacked embroidery type defects are the defects that have the highest number of frequencies, so stacked embroidery type defects are explained further using a fishbone diagram. This analysis is reviewed from aspects of human, machines, methods, materials and the environment factors. To prevent these defects, proposed actions and process improvements are also mentioned in this research.

Abstract

This study designs a decision support system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the priority of procurement of goods in the Sabila Craft Batam warehouse. This system is designed to help management determine the order of procurement priorities based on the criteria of inventory levels, demand, lead time, costs, and the importance of goods for operations. Through a hierarchical structure, the AHP method breaks down complex problems into objectives, criteria, and alternatives, and performs pairwise comparisons between criteria to obtain the priority weight of each element. The calculation results show that the Wall Clock product has the highest priority with a weight value of 0.302, followed by Keychains (0.299), Tumblers (0.274), House Numbers (0.262), and Baby Biodata (0.146). All consistencies meet a ratio below 0.1, indicating that the evaluations carried out are consistent. The resulting system allows for more objective and structured decision making, so that it can optimize warehouse efficiency, reduce the risk of excess or shortage of inventory, and speed up the procurement process.

Abstract

Production process part body type car Rail Roof Side experience defect that is, there are variations in size specifications due to unstable processes. The cause of the unstable process is that the repair of the die tooling is not optimal and the machine parameters stamping not yet ideal for process operations. Verification quality assurace processes are needed to ensure QA is able to prevent, detect and control every production process activity. This research aims to design framework verification quality assurance by using detection capability variables and action conditions irregular. The process stability measurement variable using Cpk data is used as the main data. Design results framework process QA verification is a Cpk measurement >1.33 for a stable process standard, then a detection capability level during work operations of 0.8 for visual detection scores and tool detection capabilities, warnings, interlock system respectively 1.0/1.2/1.4. Meanwhile, the ability to detect post-work operations visually, tools, warnings, interlock system respectively 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4. Meanwhile, the level of action ability irregular namely a score of 1 if the worker is able to take action according to the SOP and a score of 0 if the action does not comply with the SOP when there is an abnormal process. The final stage combines these 3 (three) variables to produce a rank value at each inspection point. Process quality assurance can be achieved if the rank value is 1.5–1.99 and the rank value is > 2.0. Process quality assurance is not achieved if the rank value is 0.0–1.19 and the rank value is 1.2–1.49. Process guarantees that are not achieved indicate that there are process variations or unstable processes. The verification process is considered complete when the results of the verification of process guarantees reach the target and improvements are made to quality guarantees that do not reach the target rank.
