Abstract

This study examines strategies to enhance the academic qualifications and professionalism of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) through the implementation of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). In the realm of global military modernization, academic legitimacy has emerged as a critical complement to operational competence. This study employed a qualitative scoping review following the PRISMA framework. Data were collected from the Scopus database (2015–2025) using the Publish or Perish tool, yielding 200 articles; 15 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal two key dimensions: (1) fundamental aspects, including civil–military integration, institutional alignment, and academic legitimacy; and (2) methodological aspects, such as the adoption of digital learning technologies, blended learning, and reflective-cognitive development. The study proposes four strategic directions: implementing RPL for credit recognition, aligning curricula with higher education standards, integrating digital technologies, and fostering a reflective academic culture. These strategies support transforming military education toward global competitiveness and professional excellence.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a performance framework for higher education institutions in developing countries that is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. A qualitative approach using an in-depth interview model was employed to identify the main dimensions from the perspectives of purposively selected educational management experts. The research was conducted over 61 days, with core activities consisting of in‑depth interviews via the Zoom Meeting platform, and thematic analysis was adopted. The findings indicate that a performance design for higher education institutions in developing countries that is consistent with the SDGs agenda must, at a minimum, exhibit three key dimensions: a dynamic environment, a foresight strategy, and a value-creation program. All three must be firmly anchored in the Tridharma of Indonesian higher education. These results are highly valuable, as they offer a conceptual contribution by integrating the discourse on education for sustainability, higher education governance, and the SDGs framework into a comprehensive, contextually grounded performance model for the provision of higher education in developing countries.

Abstract

This study examined nurse anesthesiology students’ perceptions of AI chatbot use in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) learning at ITEKES Bali. A descriptive quantitative survey was conducted with 105 sixth-semester students enrolled in the Diploma IV Nursing Anesthesiology Study Program. Data were collected using a 14-item questionnaire adapted from selected constructs of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT): performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and behavioral intention. The responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The overall mean score was 3.66, indicating a high level of acceptance. Facilitating conditions received the highest mean score (3.82), followed by Performance Expectancy (3.74), Effort Expectancy (3.65), Behavioral Intention (3.65), and Social Influence (3.29). These results indicate that students generally perceived AI chatbots as accessible and useful supplementary tools for learning medical terminology, practicing English in clinical situations, and supporting independent study. However, lecturer and peer encouragement remained comparatively limited.

Abstract

This study examines how distributed leadership and school quality management influence the work ethic of leaders in Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (SPK) schools implementing international curricula in Indonesia. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining survey data with qualitative insights from Focus Group Discussions (FGD), Fishbone Analysis, and Importance–Performance Mapping Analysis (IPMA). The findings reveal that leadership empowerment, cross-cultural collaboration, and transparent management practices are crucial to strengthening the work ethic. Key challenges include limited professional development opportunities and hierarchical communication structures. The study proposes the CAPRI model—comprising Competence, Appraisal, Procedure, Resources, and Internal School Culture—as an integrated framework to enhance leadership work ethic. This model provides practical guidance for improving school management and organizational culture. Future research should involve larger samples and explore additional variables to strengthen the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of servant leadership on school quality by analyzing the mediating roles of collaborative supervision and teacher performance. This research employed a quantitative explanatory research design involving 41 respondents. The data were collected using a 71-item questionnaire measuring servant leadership, collaborative supervision, teacher performance, and school quality. Meanwhile, the data analysis was conducted through validity and reliability testing using SPSS and structural model analysis using SmartPLS 4 with bootstrapping of 5,000 subsamples. The results indicate that servant leadership significantly influences collaborative supervision and school quality. Collaborative supervision significantly affects teacher performance and mediates the relationship between servant leadership and teacher performance. In addition, teacher performance significantly contributes to school quality; however, its mediating effect between collaborative supervision and school quality, and the serial mediation pathway were not supported.

Abstract

Traditional arts play an important role in preserving cultural heritage and transmitting educational values across generations. This study aimed to examine the cultural and artistic values of Talempong Jao and its contemporary existence in traditional wedding ceremonies in Air Panjang Village, East Panti Nagari, Pasaman Regency. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach, with observation, and semi-structured interviews to collect the data. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and method triangulation. The findings revealed that Talempong Jao embodies cultural values related to community identity, social cohesion, and cultural continuity, while promoting educational values such as cooperation, discipline, responsibility, and respect. However, its existence has declined due to the growing influence of modern entertainment and limited youth participation. This indicates that Talempong Jao functions as an informal educational medium that supports character development and cultural transmission. Integrating local cultural heritage into educational activities may contribute to cultural sustainability and strengthen local identity.

Abstract

This scoping review aims to provide an overview of research into religiously responsive cross-curricular models that integrate Islamic content and English language learning in Indonesia. Following a systematic review process, 21 selected articles were analyzed to understand curricular ideologies, representations, design approaches, quality criteria, and cross-curricular models. The findings reveal a predominant focus on intended curricula, particularly formal learning materials, and an instrumental approach to curriculum design. The review identifies diverse curricular ideologies, with a significant emphasis on social-reconstruction ideology aimed at fostering religious responsiveness through English instruction. Key quality criteria include internal consistency, relevance, and practicality. Despite the various cross-curricular models, the language-driven design is the most preferred. However, the review highlights gaps such as limited theoretical articulation, a narrow focus on intended curriculum, and a lack of longitudinal studies. These findings underscore the need for a more comprehensive approach to curriculum design that includes multiple levels of curriculum representation and considers both content and language integration holistically. Future research should focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, methodological diversity, and the practical application of instructional materials to enhance the effectiveness of integrated curricula.

Abstract

Teacher productivity is an important factor in achieving educational goals and improving school performance. This study examined the contributions of organizational commitment and work climate to the work productivity of public elementary school teachers in West Pasaman Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 397 civil servant teachers selected through cluster and stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression. The findings showed that organizational commitment contributed 51.2% to teacher productivity, while work climate contributed 38.0%. Together, both variables explained 55.2% of the variance in productivity. Organizational commitment emerged as the stronger predictor. The results suggest that teachers who feel attached to their schools and work in supportive environments are more likely to perform effectively. Strengthening teacher commitment and fostering a positive work climate may therefore help improve teacher productivity and educational quality.

Abstract

This study examines how school culture and teacher participation contribute to the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in Sekolah Penggerak senior high schools in Dharmasraya District. The challenges in P5 practice, such as limited teacher understanding, difficulties in preparing project modules, and weak coordination among teachers, motivated this study. A quantitative survey design was used, involving 66 teachers selected from a population of 165 teachers. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using correlation and multiple regression analyses. The findings indicate that school culture accounted for 24.5% of the variance in P5 implementation, while teacher participation contributed 59.7%. Together, the two variables explained 62.2% of the variance in P5 implementation. These results suggest that effective P5 practice requires a supportive school environment and active teacher involvement in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating project-based learning.
