Abstract

The main problem in this study was the description of the management and application of moral education of students in the Babussa'adah Bajo Modern Islamic Boarding School. Methodologically this research was a qualitative research by searching, analyzing and making interpretation of data found through document studies, interviews and observations. The data that had been collected were checked for validity through data validity standards in the form of trustworthiness, reliability, reliability and certainty. The data analysis technique used was reducing, displaying and drawing conclusions from the results of the study. The results of the research are: 1. Planning of moral education in the Islamic Boarding School of Babussa'adah Bajo since its inception, placing morals as a top priority in the preaching and education movement, 2. Organizing is done by establishing tasks, responsibilities, and authority as well as work mechanisms so that the objectives can be achieved, 3. Implementation of moral education in Modern Islamic Boarding School Babussa'adah Bajo puts the perfection of morality as the main target in the process of moral education, 4. Supervision of moral education of students is carried out jointly with the big family of Islamic boarding schools, local communities and parents of students, 5. Evaluation of moral education in Modern Islamic Boarding School Babussa'adah Bajo shows a significant increase, especially in its application in daily life both in the boarding school environment and family environment. Babussa'adah Bajo Modern Islamic Boarding School places the perfection of morality as the main target in the process of Islamic education and the target that becomes the reference in moral education is to produce outputs that can be a role model for the community.

Abstract

Technology not only has a positive impact on its users, it also shows negative impacts that cannot be underestimated. One of the negative impacts is time management. Time management plays an important role in the learning success of students. Time management plays an important role in the learning success of students. In this study, the authors take a mathematical approach in identifying poor understanding of students about time management. The type of approach used is library research with the method of collecting data using documentation to be analyzed through content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that poor understanding of students in time management can be identified through mathematical approaches such as numerical methods, with stages: (1) Determination of design or research model; (2) Searching for primary data, i.e. the texts themselves; and (3) Search for contextual knowledge. This study begins with quantitative data analysis. Data obtained through time management questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. In descriptive statistical analysis obtained a description of the average score. While inferential statistical analysis is intended for hypothesis testing and regression testing. Next is the implementation of numerical methods in identifying poor understanding of students about time management.  At the end of the results of the study conducted a qualitative analysis phase. The findings of different researchers are likely to be different because they can be influenced by the location or individual characteristics of students.

Abstract

The progress of a madrasa or educational institution needs to be supported jointly by all elements, small environment (family), madrasas (educational institutions), and the environment (community). These three elements must be combined, synergized, with the hope of producing results or good quality education outcomes. This expectation must of course be carried out / improved by the education provider (madrasa). in the sense that madrasas play an active role in establishing communication with elements of the environment (community), both with teachers, education personnel, student guardians, or with surrounding communities. in realizing this good relationship, the implementation of community relations management is needed. Madrasas in the current era really require an active role from the community in supporting its success, both in educating, providing great opportunities and giving birth to capable, independent sons of the nation. so that later, students can adapt to the environment, in establishing good communication. Management of public relations management is very important, so that communication links between educational institutions and the surrounding environment (community) generally encourage and participate in supporting the success of an educational institution.

Abstract

This research has purpose to discuss about the educational concept of Mansour Fakih’s liberation and the relevance with Islamic education. The expectation of this research’s result is to give a solution or an idea for the purpose of Islamic education. This research is an answer from the Mansour Fakih educational liberation’s question, and it uses qualitative research whereas the method is library research. The collecting data have been done by investigating Mansour Fakih’s work especially about education while the data analysis that is used is word analysis which will express some literature from the research’s object. The research’s result shows that: 1. The educational concept of Mansour Fakih’s liberation is about critical liberation education that can be concluded as the education that doesn’t restrict the pupils to develop their creativities with some characteristics that are learning from experiences, not teaching, and dialogis 2. The relevance of Mansour Fakih education with Islamic education. From the educational concept of Mansour Fakih’s liberation with Islamic education is that both of them do not wish for the education that restrict because human’s essence is free.

Abstract

This study aims to determine aspects of context, input, process and product Islamic Instructional Design in SMAN 4 Palopo. This study is a qualitative research. The approach  was management. Analysis of the data used were descriptive analysis by performing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that: (1) According to context, form of Islamic instructional design used was a curriculum-based learning design in 2013 formulated individually. The teachers' qualifications were accordance with the educational background and pedagogical competence of some teachers was still less than the maximum, and supporting factors were computer, papers,  and printer. (2) According to input, the support  of school and effort of the teachers was still less than the maximum. (3) According to process, the suitability of the utilization of the Islamic instructional design was sometimes appropriate and sometimes not appropriate. The time of making the Islamic instructional design conducted beginning of each semester, although sometimes the Islamic instructional design has not finished and the period of utilization of the Islamic instructional design was for one semester. (4) According to product, the impact of the utilization of the Islamic instructional design have positive impacts and negative impacts, and the students' responses to the utilization of the Islamic instructional design have  positive response and negative response.

Abstract

The subjects of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) are the terms of Islamic Religious Education courses applied to universities of Muhammadiyah which is very significant in forming students as professional, intellectual, and personal religious learning learner according to the guidance of Islam that upholds the value of humanity,and able to compete in the era of globalization, therefore the implementation process of AIK curriculum subjects must be well managed, structured and systematic. This research is qualitative descriptive, conducted in STKIP Muhammadiyah Palopo, aimed to describe the implementation of curriculum management of the subjects of al-Islam and Kemuhammadiayahan in STKIP Muhammadiyah Palopo. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used data reduction techniques, data display, and conclusions. The results showed that AIK curriculum management functions in STKIP Muhammadiyah Palopo were well implemented, supported by muhammadiyah cadres and other stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of supervisors and the teacher creativity of Islamic Education in the learning process at SMP Negeri 4 Masamba. This type of research is qualitative using interviews, observation, and study documentation in collecting data. The results showed that there were a number of roles carried out by the supervisors of Islamic Education at SMP Negeri 4 Masamba in developing teacher creativity, including: teacher and/ or school principal guidance (directing), monitoring the implementation of National Education Standards, evaluating teacher and principal performance, evaluating the results of the implementation of supervision programs at target schools, professional guidance and training programs for teachers and principals. Teacher creativity is shown in the planning and implementation of learning activities, as well as evaluating student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Leadership is a subject that is always interesting to continue to study because it has an important role in the organization. Likewise with spiritual leadership as a model of leadership. The purpose of this study is to explain the concept of spiritual leadership as a model of leadership. This type of research is a literature study (Library Research). Spiritual leadership is leadership inspired by belief in God. The leader does not see his position as the highest position so that he requires excelent service from his subordinates, but sees him as a mandate (khalifah) to serve, process, and manage his subordinates so that they can collectively achieve success. Spiritual leadership has the character of true honesty, fairness, focus on righteous deeds, hate formality and organized religion, work more efficiently with less talk and more relaxed, openness to accept change, leaders who are loved and certainly love those they lead and have humility.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SD N Kertomulyo 01. Penelitian ini juga berisikan dampak dari gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan kepala sekolah terhadap guru, staf, dan siswa serta suasana sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah SD N Kertomulyo 01. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan melaui empat tahap yaitu: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SD N Kertomulyo 01 adalah gaya kepemimpinan demokratis. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis yang diterapkan kepala sekolah SD N Kertomulyo 01 terbukti dapat memperkuat tali persaudaraan antar rekan kerja dengan kepala sekolah. Selain itu juga meningkatkan produktivitas kerja guru dan staf. Gaya kepemimpinan tersebut juga dapat meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi siswa. Secara keseluruhan gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan membuat suasana di sekolah kondusif, harmonis, da kekeluargaan. Kata Kunci,: Gaya kepemimpinan, Kepala sekolah, Kinerja.AbstractThis study aims to describe the leadership style of the principal of SD N Kertomulyo 01. This study also contains the impact of the leadership style applied by the principal on teachers, staff, and students as well as the school atmosphere. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The subject of the study was the principal of SD N Kertomulyo 01. The data analysis technique used was through four stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the leadership style of the principal of SD N Kertomulyo 01 is a democratic leadership style. The democratic leadership style applied by the principal of SD N Kertomulyo 01 has proven to be able to strengthen the ties of brotherhood between co-workers and the principal. In addition, it also increases the work productivity of teachers and staff. This leadership style can also increase student achievement motivation. Overall, the leadership style applied makes the atmosphere in the school conducive, harmonious, and familial. Keywords: Leadership style, Principal, Performance

Abstract

As a profession, teacher fields are not separated from competence matter, so that the teacher does not only have to have enough knowledge, but they are required to increase the professional competency. The study aimed to examine dan analyse the influence of education and training on teacher’s professional competency. The study was conducted by survey method with written questionnaire toward teachers at elementary school in the Dictrict of North Makale Tana Toraja Regency. The number of samples in this research were seventy nine respondents by purposive sampling method with a criteria which has teaching experience at least one year. The examined of hypothesis was using Linier Regression Analysis by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23. The results of research indicate that education and training positively and significantly influence on teacher’s professional competency, as partial or simultaneous. Determine coefficient R Square value of 0.717 indicates that the variation in teacher’s professional competency at elementary school in the Dictrict of North Makale Tana Toraja Regency determine by education and training within 71.7 percent, while theremaining 28.3 percent determine by other factors out of the independent variables in this research. The research indicates that the teacher’s professional competency has the relationship with the level of education and training of teacher.
