Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the leadership model of madrasah principle in improving the professional competence of educators, efforts made as well as strategies implemented in schools in order to improve the professionalism of Islamic Education teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Sohifatussofa Nahdlatul Wathan Rawamangun North Luwu Regency. This research used a qualitative approach with this type of case study, as well as a psycho-individual-cultural approach and an institutional approach.  Data collection used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. As for data analysis techniques, researchers used interactive analysis models containing four interconnected components, namely: data collection, data simplification, data exposure, and withdrawal and submission of summations. Checking the validity of findings was carried out with credibility, transferability, dependability, and affirmability, using a variety of sources, theories, and methods so that objective data is obtained. The results shows that: (1) The leadership of the madrasah principle at MA Sohifatussofa NW Rawamangun has characteristics of the democratic leadership model with: a) Having an emphasis in terms of structuring clear vision and mission, communicating the vision effectively and implementing that vision. b) The principle of madrasah has leadership values that are the foundation of thinking and acting in leading madrassas namely: discipline in work; be democratic; responsible; dare to innovate; honest and open. c) The principle of the madrasah also has a well-established social relationship with the madrasah residents, among others: parallels; exemplary; appreciate achievements; kinship; Concern. The essence of Democratic leadership is to engage subordinates together to make changes. (2) Strategies used by madrasah principles in improving the professional competency of teachers at MA Sohifatussofa NW Rawamangun through further study, learning supervision, Teacher Deliberation of Subjects, comparative studies, workshops, and training.

Abstract

The quality of education administration carried out by school principals, teachers and staff cannot be separated from supervisory activities carried out by supervisors who are formally appointed by the ministry of national education in a professional manner. The quality functions of educational administration activities that allow quality assurance are supervised by professional supervisors who have a high responsibility attitude.

Abstract

This reseach focuses on the problem, there are: 1) is there affect of the madrasah head leadership on learning culture and learning achievement of students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Palopo, 2) is there a relationship between the learning culture and student achievement in learning with the head of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Palopo State Leaders. This research uses quantitative research and the analysis formula of Simple Linear Regression or often referred to as SLR (Simple Linear Regression). The data of this research are in the form of madrasah principals leadership in developing student learning culture and student achievement. The population of this research was 838 student. There are 27 classes. The researcher took 100 students as sample of research. The variable of the research are madrasah principals leadership as the independent variable (x). While those as the dependent variables are learning culture (Y1) and learning achievement (Y2). Base on the result of the t test calcutaion. Analysis shows that there is a significant influence of variables (x) on learning culture (Y1) and learning achievement (Y2). It evidences by the result of the calculation of t count of 1,075 and 283 compare to t table (df =100) which is 0,667 significant level of 5%. So when thitung > ttabel them H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. It means that there is an influence of madrasah leadership between culture of learning  and learning achievement of students with the head of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) palopo. The implivation of this researh to accept a positive learning culture and learning avhievement to relate with the students’ personal personaly talents, and the absorption of a negative culture will have implicatins that can be derrimental to individual and others in the palopo Aliyah Negeri Madrasah (MAN) environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structure of communication in school organizations and the role of communication in educational management. This research is a library research where the theory is taken from literature data which is then studied and analyzed in order to obtain a conception to obtain objective results. The results show there are several forms of communication structures in school organizations. There aresome kinds of communication in organization namely formal communication, non-formal communication, informal communication, technical communication and procedural communication.  The communication structures in school organizations are downward communication, upward communication, horizontal communication, and diagonal communication. The role of communication in education management is communication as a source of educational information, communication as a controller and coordination, communication as planning and achieving goals, and communication as an effort to increase motivation.

Abstract

Distance learning became a trend in the era of the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Distance learning or often known as PJJ is learning done without face-to-face between students and educators. Distance learning  does  not  exist  in  the Indonesian education curriculum before that. This system suddenly happened because of the closure of direct learning or face-to-face learning from PAUD to Universities as a form  of anticipation of Covid-19 transmission. The practice, the implementation of learning on the long distance will use daring/online or daring/online methods. pjj will make more use of Technology Information in conducting learning. Therefore,   this   paper   will   help   educators   in developing plans and methods that can be used during the distance learning process.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of principal democratic leadership on teacher competence, namely pedagogical competence, personality competence, professional competence and social competence. This research is a quantitative study using an ex-post facto research design. This study uses a quantitative approach, namely research that emphasizes numerical data (numbers) which are processed by statistical methods. The research was conducted at UPT SMAN 10 Luwu Utara. Population of 27 teachers and determination of the number of samples using the Slovin formula and get the results of 10 samples. The data management begins with the validity test and the instrument reliability test is obtained using SPSS version 22 for windows. The next step is the normality test, linearity test and finally the hypothesis test by performing a simple regression test Y = α + bX to determine the functional relationship of variable X with variables Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4. Hypothesis testing uses the help of SPSS version 22 for windows. The results showed that the principal's democratic leadership style (X) had a positive and significant effect on teacher pedagogical competence (Y1), the principal's democratic leadership style had a positive and significant effect on the teacher's personality competence (Y2), the principal's democratic leadership style had a positive and significant effect. teacher professional competence (Y3), the principal's democratic leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher social competence (Y4).

Abstract

This study aims: to see the ability of the principal's skills, to see school performance and to react to the effect of the principal's conceptual skills on school performance. The research method used is quantitative research with the type of research is ex post facto. The population is all teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Palopo. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. The sample used was 40 teachers. Data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed using statistical data processing, namely: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive research show that the conceptual skills of the principal in SMP Negeri 4 Palopo have a score of 84.45 and a variance of 86.237 with a Standard Deviation of 9, 286 from the lowest score of 62 and the lowest score of 100 are in the very good category and school performance in SMP Negeri 4 Palopo has a mean score of 84.62 variants of 49,400 with a standard deviation of 7,028 from the lowest score of 72 and the highest score of 100 is included in the very good category. The results of research and data analysis carried out from the conceptual skills of school principals (X) have an effect on school performance (Y) which can be seen that the value of T count 8.888 is greater than T table whose value is 1.686 and the significant value of the principal's conceptual skills is 0.000 <0.05. R2 (R square) of 0.675 or equal to 57.5% means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be interpreted that the conceptual skills of the principal have an effect on the performance of schools in SMP Negeri 4 Palopo.

Abstract

The main problem of this research was the utilization system of school operational fund. This research used qualitative research method to find out the maximum result in the field related to the utilization of school operational fund at sekolah/ madrasah by using management and sociology approaches. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the researcher asked some questions about the utilization of school operational fund management system by using open instrument namely giving questions or direct interview and using recorder tool. The result of the research shows that: 1) the management system of school operational fund utilization at sekolah Dasar Negeri 29 Bajo is appropriate with the technical guide of school operational fund 2) the management system of school operational fund utilization at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta 09 Bajo is really appreciated because it is very helpful in school developmentand the honorer payment at madrasah. 3) The differences of the school operational fund utilization is in the the use of the fund based on juknis sekolah Dasar which 100% should be appropriate while Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta is not really ready to follow the rules since the payment of honor was 50% while in sekolah dasar is only 15%. From the book availability must be 20% every year while in Madrasah, it is not a must.

Abstract

This study aims: to determine the performance of the principal as a supervisor at SMP Negeri 1 Palopo; to find out the professionalism of teachers in SMP Negeri 1 Palopo; to determine the effect of the principal’s performance as a supervisor on teacher professionalism at SMP Negeri 1 Palopo. This study use quantitative research methods with ex-post facto research design. The total population is all teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Palopo consisting of 52 civil cervant or honorary teachers with sampling using a saturated sampling technique, namely determining the sample when all members of the population are used the sample. So, the sample used was 52 people. The research instrument use a questionnaire and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis, the principal’s performance as a supervisor at SMP Negeri 1 Palopo was in the good category with a percentage of 56%. Meanwhile, the professionalism of teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Palopo is in the very good category with a percentage of 77%. In addition, it is obtained that T count is 6,884 > T table 1, 675 so it can be concluded that X has an effect on Y with R2 (R square) of 0,487 or 48,7% has a positive and significaneffect of the principal’s performance as a supervisor on teacher professionalism at SMP Negeri 1 Palopo while the rest 51,3% is influenced by other variables that cannot be explained in this study.

Abstract

Imamah can be interpreted as prophets and messengers sent by Allah SWT. In addition, Imamat is also defined as a leader in a narrow sense and in a broad sense. While the management of Islamic education in the institutional aspect is the management system in the institution; Raudhatul Atfal, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Madrasah Tsanawiyah, Madrasah Aliyah, and Islamic Higher Education. This research is a literature study with a focus on the concept of Imamat in relation to Islamic education management activities. An imam in managing Islamic education management must show the people he leads in the form of; education by example, education with customs, education with advice, education with supervision. In addition, it also has properties; shidiq, amanah, fathonah, and the nature of tabligh.
