Abstract

The various kinds of obstacles occur in the learning process during the pandemic. One approach to solving learning problems is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The purpose of this study is to describe the urgency of CAR to improve the quality of learning in the new normal. This research method is descriptive and qualitative. The research subjects were active elementary teachers in East Java. The data collection instrument in this study was a questionnaire distributed online. The results of the study showed that 100% of the participating teachers thought that CAR was important to implement. This is because they benefit from the implementation of CAR, namely improving the quality of learning. However, the implementation of CAR during the pandemic experienced various obstacles including limited internet connection and face-to-face time. This is a challenge for teachers to continue to carry out CAR with the blended learning method to overcome learning problems that occur during the new normal period.

Abstract

Learning Islamic religious education can not be separated from the results of learning or assessment. The assessment of Islamic religious education subjects did not describe students' attitudes. This study aims to assess attitudes toward Islamic religious education in elementary schools. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Sources of data obtained from primary data and secondary data. Primary data are from 19th-grade and 5th-grade students.Meanwhile, secondary data includes principals, teachers, parents, and classmates. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data will be processed using inductive qualitative analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The study results reveal that Islamic religious education is less successful because parents still view that schools only carry out the task of educating children. Parental attention to children is only in the form of fulfilling material needs such as clothing, food, and board needs. At the same time, the problem of moral formation and development is left entirely to the school. In addition, because it underestimates the existence of Islamic religious education lessons, it is a lesson that is not too important and easy to learn without having to think.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of a realistic mathematics approach on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of elementary school students. It employed a quantitative research method with a non-equivalent control group design. The study's participants were fifth-grade students from various schools in Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency. The sample was selected using simple random sampling. Data collection involved a mathematics problem-solving ability test. The analysis included descriptive and inferential techniques. Descriptive analysis revealed that students in the experimental class, taught using a realistic mathematics approach, demonstrated significantly better problem-solving skills compared to those in the control class. The average posttest score in the experimental class was 61.85, whereas it was 46.40 in the control class. Inferential analysis, including independent sample t-test and Manova test, indicated that learning with a realistic mathematics approach had a significant effect, as evidenced by a sig value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05.

Proper, interesting and fun learning needs to be done to obtain maximum learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to increase the activeness and learning outcomes of mathematics through the STAD learning model. The type of research is classroom action research. Methods of collecting data by observation, interviews, and tests. The results showed that the activeness of learning the material of flat shapes has increased. The average learning activity in the first cycle was 73.26% with the moderately active category, in the second cycle it increased to 87.85% with the active category. The increase in student activity from cycle I to cycle II was 14.58%. The average student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 73, then in the second cycle increased to 85.6. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the STAD learning model can increase the activity and learning outcomes of mathematics in the fourth grade elementary school flat-building material.

Abstract

This research is a type of research and development aimed at determining the feasibility and effectiveness of Indonesian language teaching materials to improve the language skills of elementary school students. The development of Indonesian teaching materials uses the ADDIE model development procedure. The development procedure used in this study includes 5 steps, namely: 1) Analysis; 2) Development or Production (Development); 3) Implementation or Delivery; (Application) 4) Evaluation (Assessment). The product developed is Indonesian language teaching materials to improve the language skills of elementary school students. The data collection instrument was in the form of an assessment sheet for material experts and Indonesian language teachers. The method used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative which is expressed in the distribution of scores and categories of the rating scale. This development research produces Indonesian language teaching materials in the form of books, which meet the aspects of content, presentation, language and appearance with an average of 3.57 with a percentage of 71.3% in stage 1, namely in the good category, while in stage 2 the average score is 3. .9 with a percentage of 84.3% which is a very good category so it can be said that the criteria are valid and feasible to use. On the assessment sheet the Indonesian teacher got an average score of 4.28 in the very good category. For language skills, the listening aspect of elementary school students got an average score of 7.25%. In the aspect of speaking language skills, namely speaking based on pictures and getting an average score of 76% and the reading language skill aspect, the accuracy range is 80 and the essay writing skill aspect gets a score of 78%.
