Abstract

The purpose of Islamic Religious Education (PAI – Pendidikan Agama Islam) is to form students who have noble character, who are not only righteous in worship practices, and who are not only pious individually but also socially. A curriculum that aims at achieving this goal is an integrated curriculum. This qualitative study aimed at identifying the implementation of an integrated PAI curriculum in three schools with Islamic characteristics. Data were collected through observation, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews. Interviews were conducted with principals, vice principals, PAI teachers, and students. The results showed that students' understanding of moral values in PAI learning increased through curricular activities. Meanwhile, increasing student piety was achieved through co-curricular activities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the Role of Aqidah Akhlak Education in Forming Excellent Students. The type of this research is library research and with the approach to this research using qualitative research. The results of this study are factors that influence the formation of morals for every human being, namely: instinctive factors and hereditary characteristics (Al Waritoh). In the implementation of moral education, it is necessary to have the right method for carrying out learning, including; The dialogue method (hiwari), the lecture method, the discussion method, the exemplary method (Al-uswah Hasanah), the story method, the punishment method, the reward method, the habituation method, the repetition method and the parable method. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perihal pendidikan ‘aqidah yang mencakup tentang sumber ber’aqidah yang benar, penyebab penyimpangan dan solusi dalam mengatasi dan membentengi penyimpangan dalam masalah ‘aqidah. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka (library research). Sumber utama dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah kitab yang berjudul ‘Aqîdah at-Tauhîd wa Bayân Mâ Yudhâdduhâ au Yanqushuhâ min asy-Syirk al-Akbar wa al-Ashghar wa at-Ta’thîl wa al-Bida’ wa Ghairi Dzâlik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan ‘aqidah sangat penting untuk diketahui, dipelajari dan diamalkan oleh setiap Muslim. Sumber beraqidah yang benar adalah bersumber pada wahyu yakni Al-Qur’an dan as-Sunnah yang shahih di atas pemahaman para Salafush Shalih. Adapun di antara penyebab penyimpangan ‘aqidah adalah kejahilan, fanatik terhadap keyakinan nenek moyang, taklid buta, ghuluw, kurangnya pendidikan ‘aqidah dalam keluarga, serta minimnya perhatian terhadap materi dan media informasi dalam mengedukasi masyarakat. Dan diantara solusi dalam mengatasi penyimpangan ‘aqidah ruju’ (kembali) kepada Al-Qur’an dan as-Sunnah yang shahih di atas pemahaman Salafush shalih, perhatian yang tinggi terhadap materi dan sumber materi, serta menyebarkan dan mengirim para da’i untuk mendakwahkan, mengajarkan tentang ‘aqidah yang benar ditengah-tengah masyarakat

Abstract

Communication planning plays a crucial role in supporting education board members in improving the quality of religious education in the digital era. The use of technology and digital platforms is effective in overcoming study time restrictions and increasing students' understanding and skills in implementing Islamic law. This study aims to reveal the communication planning of education council administrators in advancing the quality of digital-era religious education in Aceh Tamiang District through a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. The results concluded that the planning involved six steps: field mapping, communication planning, a program to improve the quality of religious education, strategies, activities, and targets and objectives. Its realization takes two forms, namely the implementation of the communication plan and the dissemination of the plan. Obstacles to program implementation included the lack of optimal local content curriculum, but support for the qanun on the Regional Education Council and the Regulations of the Aceh Tamiang Regent, as well as collaboration with teachers, principals, school supervisors, and other institutions, were significant supports. The whole of this research shows that communication planning has structured stages to improve the quality of religious education in the digital era by recognizing variations in realization and the important role of inhibiting and supporting factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the make a match method assisted by wordwall media on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study were 37 grade IV students. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. Research using validity test, reliability test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study included students' interest in learning in the control class which did not apply the make a match method assisted by wordwall media, which showed a significant increase in student interest in learning. This is evidenced by the data obtained from distributing questionnaires to the control class. The increase in student learning interest in the control class which was initially 59.62 became 67. Then for student learning interest in the Experiment class which in its application used the make a match method assisted by wordwall media, showed a very significant increase in student learning interest. This is evidenced by the data obtained from distributing questionnaires to the experimental class. There was an increase in student learning interest in the experimental class, which was originally 60.19 to 80.47. Based on this, it is known that the make a match method assisted by wordwall media has an effect on the learning interest of fourth grade students from the results of simple regression test calculations which show a significance value of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

Educational innovation has the meaning of creating various new variations, or what can also be calledrenewal, in the implementation of specific learning activities. Innovation also provides a reflection of the modernization of an education system, which refers to the school system or a broader system, namely the national education system. The aim of this research is to critically describe the strategies developed by superior Islamic schools in North Sumatra to improve the quality of education in today's highly competitive times. The presence of leading Islamic schools in various regions of North Sumatra is a symptom that provides new hope in efforts to address the gap in educational quality among Islamic schools in North Sumatra. The research was conducted at three Islamic-based schools, namely, CT Foundation Superior High School, Darul Hasan Padangsidimpuan IT High School, and Shafiyyatul Amaliyyah Medan Private High School. The research was carried out using a field research mechanism, with a description of the findings carried out using aspects and components of qualitative research. The results of the research show that the three schools in this study, Darul Hasan Padangsidimpuan Integrated Islamic High School, CT Foundation Deli Serdang Superior High School, and Medan Plus Shafiyyatul Amaliyyah Private High School, have played a role in improving the quality of superior Islamic educational institutions in the North Sumatra region. One of the indicators is the use of various information technology-based applications and media in learning. Likewise with the use of foreign languages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas kinerja guru dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran daring di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) IT AL-BIRRU Pekanbaru. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan mix methods yaitu suatu langkah penelitian dengan menggabungkan dua bentuk pendekatan dalam penelitian, yaitu kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru VII SMP IT-AL BIRRU Pekanbaru, tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 12 orang, serta sampel dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SMP IT-AL BIRRU Pekanbaru yang juga sebagai populasi dalam penelitaian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, angket (kuesioner) dan dokumentasi. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yaitu triangulasi, dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru dalam perencanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru di SMP IT AL BIRRU Pekanbaru dalam perencanaan pembelajaran sudah terlaksana dengan baik, efektifitas kinerja guru di SMP IT AL BIRRU Pekanbaru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah baik, dan kinerja guru dalam evaluasi pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan evaluasi pembelajaran ini sudah terlaksana dengan baik.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the holistic curriculum and analyze the development and implementation of a holistic curriculum in Islamic education at MIN 1 Berau. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type and data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The research results obtained are First, a holistic curriculum is a comprehensive curriculum that seeks to balance all aspects of life to foster awareness of the relationship with the environment and God, which is the ultimate goal of life. Second, the purpose of Islamic education is to prepare students to carry out the mission given by Allah, namely as caliphs and servants of Allah, so there must be an effort to balance material and spiritual life, individual and social, knowledge and morals, which is by holistic education for balancing all the potential that exists in life. Third, implementing the Holistic Curriculum at MIN 1 Berau has not been carried out comprehensively because education only develops knowledge and has yet to develop the realm of skills and student attitudes.

Abstract

The global movement towards inclusive education has gained momentum in recent years, aiming to provide equitable education for all students, regardless of their abilities. Indonesia, in response to this transformative movement, has ratified an inclusive education policy, aiming to provide educational opportunities to students with disabilities within regular classroom settings. However, translating policy into practice poses significant challenges, with deeply entrenched medical model perspectives influencing public perceptions of individuals with disabilities.This article delves into the necessity of fostering a comprehensive understanding of and valuing diversity to support the establishment of an inclusive school environment in Indonesia. It explores the essential shift from the medical to the social model in understanding students with disabilities and highlights the significant role of beliefs and attitudes in shaping the implementation of inclusive education. Furthermore, it examines the alignment of Islamic values, particularly the "Fikih Difabel", with the principles of inclusive education.The article emphasizes the pivotal role of creating an inclusive culture within schools, guided by the Index for Inclusion, to develop sustainable inclusive practices. Strategies to overcome challenges in promoting acceptance and inclusivity among stakeholders, including educators, parents, and students, are proposed, such as education and awareness, engaging religious scholars, collaboration and partnership, cultivating an inclusive school culture, parent and community involvement, monitoring and evaluation, and advocacy for policy reform.By aligning inclusive education principles with Islamic values, specifically through the "Fikih Difabel," Muhammadiyah can lead by example in fostering inclusive school environments within its institutions. These efforts can positively impact the lives of students with disabilities and promote a sense of unity and empathy among all students, contributing to a truly inclusive society in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article presents a bibliometric analysis of research trends in "Character Education" based on the Scopus database from 2018 to 2023. Data collection involved 569 metadata of relevant articles in the field of character education from reputable sources. The study aims to provide a comprehensive insight into the scientific development in the field of character education and identify key topics and contributors in academic studies during this period. The bibliometric analysis method was used to examine research trends, topic classifications, and author and institutional collaborations. The research results indicate that character education has become a significant issue in the realm of education during this timeframe, with a noteworthy growth in research attention. Top contributing authors and university affiliations were also identified, highlighting inter-institutional collaborations and continuity in building knowledge in the field of character education. The findings from this bibliometric analysis can provide direction and guidance for academics, researchers, and practitioners in developing more effective character education strategies that positively impact moral and ethical development among students and individuals in society. This article has the potential to make a significant contribution to understanding trends and future directions in "Character Education" research and enhancing comprehension of the challenges and opportunities in this field.
