Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the entrepreneurial competence of students at the University of Muhammadiyah Enrekang (UNIMEN) through a practical learning experience. The program focused on addressing the low interest in entrepreneurship among Indonesian students by providing real-world into business operations. A participatory active method was employed, involving 91 students from three study programs. The program included: 1) students were involved in setting objectives and preparing materials for the visit, 2) an industrial visit to Bachis Pinrang, a successful home-based banana chips produvtion house, where students observed the production process, interviewed the owner, and engaged in discussions, 3) gathering feedback from students to assess the program’s effectiveness. The industrial visit provided students with valuable practical experience and a deeper understanding of business management. It also exposed them to a successful entrepreneurial model, inspiring them to consider entrepreneurship as a career path. Preliminary findings indicate an increase in student’s motivation and practical skills related to entrepreneurship. Further evaluation will be conducted to measure the program’s impact on student’s entrepreneurial knowledge, attitudes, and skills.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing lecturers' work motivation at the Management Bachelor's Program, Universitas Pamulang, focusing on the role of work environment and compensation. The background of this research is rooted in the need to understand how these factors can impact lecturers' motivation to improve teaching and academic performance. The objective is to determine the significant influence of work environment and compensation on lecturers' work motivation. A quantitative research method was employed using a survey approach with a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed via Google Forms to 140 lecturers. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and descriptive statistics, with validity and reliability tests applied. The findings reveal that both work environment and compensation have a significant positive impact on work motivation, with work environment contributing 32.9% and compensation contributing 25.7%. The coefficient of determination indicates that 67.5% of the variation in work motivation can be explained by these two factors. The implications of this research suggest that universities should prioritize improving work environment quality and compensation systems to enhance lecturers' motivation. This can lead to better academic performance and higher job satisfaction. Future research could explore additional factors influencing work motivation.

Abstract

Educational technology has become an important factor in improving the quality of higher education, including in the Arabic Language Education Program. With the increasing complexity of accreditation requirements, the use of digital systems, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and tracer studies, has become an effective solution for enhancing learning efficiency and evaluating graduates. This study aims to analyze the role of educational technology in supporting academic accreditation and improving graduates' competitiveness in the job market. A quantitative and qualitative research approach was used through surveys and literature reviews. The results showed that the integration of technology in academic processes significantly contributes to learning effectiveness and the accuracy of tracer study data. Additionally, implementing digital systems enables more efficient and transparent management of academic data. Therefore, institutional support in providing infrastructure and technology training is essential to maximize the benefits of digital education and ensure the improvement of educational quality and graduates' competitiveness.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out: (1) a portrait profile of the existence and role of alumni of the Master of Sharia Economics study program at IAIN Kudus and the use of alumni. At the same time knowing the waiting period for sharia economics master's alumni, the relevance of the study program to the needs of the job market and the responses of alumni users. The research is descriptive qualitative using survey methods. The analysis was carried out using percentages and used 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the research, namely a search using the tracer study instrument, provide an illustration that, firstly, a portrait of the existence and role of alumni of the 2016-2021 postgraduate sharia economics master's study program at IAIN Kudus has been well received by the user community in a professional manner with several reasonable adjustments made by parties related to developing the professionalism of alumni performance. Second, the perception of alumni users of the 2016-2021 IAIN Kudus Postgraduate sharia economics master's study program is that they are satisfied with the good and very good records and are proud and helped by the presence of alumni of the sharia economics study program in their workplace with adjustments to certain fields according to the social conditions of society faced by the graduate users. Users suggest increasing alumni competency in the field of foreign languages, especially English, self-development skills or abilities, as well as mastery of technology that needs to be further developed.

Abstract

In today’s competitive retail environment, businesses face the challenge of influencing consumer purchase decisions. The quality of products and the pricing strategy are two critical factors that can significantly affect how customers choose products in stores. Alfamart, a popular convenience store chain, offers a variety of products, including Air Alfamart, which is subject to consumer preferences and purchasing behavior. Understanding the impact of product quality and price on purchase decisions is vital for businesses to develop effective marketing strategies. This study investigates how these two factors, both individually and simultaneously, affect consumer decisions in the context of purchasing Air Alfamart at the Alfamart Krukut branch. The findings of this study provide insights for companies in designing better product offerings and pricing strategies to improve sales and customer loyalty. The research was conducted with a sample size of 80 respondents, using an associative research method with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques included field research through observation and questionnaires, literature studies, and data analysis methods. The results indicate that product quality has a significant effect on purchase decisions, with a strong positive relationship between the two variables. This suggests that improvements in product quality lead to more favorable purchase decisions. The analysis also revealed that price significantly influences purchase decisions, with a strong relationship between the two factors. These findings highlight the importance of both product quality and price in influencing consumer choices. Furthermore, both product quality and price together have a significant simultaneous effect on purchase decisions. The combined influence of these two factors has a strong relationship with the purchasing behavior of consumers. This research implies that businesses, such as Alfamart, should prioritize product quality and pricing strategies to enhance consumer purchase decisions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of liquidity, asset growth and company size on the profitability of companies in the JII index listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020-2023 period. Based on the purposive sampling method, this research used fourteen companies as research samples. The analytical method used in this research is multiple regression analysis carried out with the help of SPSS software. The results of this research show that liquidity, asset growth and company size have a significant effect on profitability simultaneously. The results of this research also show that asset growth has a significant effect on profitability, while liquidity and company size do not have a significant effect on the profitability of companies in the JII index listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020-2023 period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of decentralization in promoting regional development and reducing interregional inequality. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing secondary data and reviewing relevant literature to identify factors affecting the effectiveness of decentralization. The results reveal that although decentralization has enhanced regional autonomy and development capacity, its impact on reducing inequality remains limited. Findings indicate that discrepancies in fiscal capacity, uneven infrastructure distribution, and varying quality of human resources are major obstacles to balanced development. In brief, while decentralization contributes positively to regional development, integrated efforts such as capacity building, infrastructure improvement, and targeted fiscal policies are necessary to significantly reduce inequality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and work motivation on the performance of the Voting Committee (PPS) in the General Election Commission (KPU) of West Jakarta. Additionally, it seeks to determine which variable has the most dominant impact on PPS performance. This research employs an associative method with a quantitative approach. The population consists of all 168 PPS members in West Jakarta, with a sample of 63 respondents selected using Slovin’s formula from 56 urban villages. Data collection methods include questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis through regression modeling with SPSS version 25. Organizational culture comprises values, beliefs, norms, and behaviors that define work and interaction within an organization. A strong organizational culture enhances work motivation, which refers to factors driving individuals to perform well, either through internal aspirations or external recognition. Increased work motivation positively impacts PPS performance, which reflects efficiency, productivity, and job quality. A supportive organizational culture, high motivation, and a fair reward system contribute to improved PPS performance, benefiting both the organization and the community. The alignment between organizational culture, work motivation, and PPS performance is crucial in optimizing service delivery and achieving organizational goals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of democratic leadership style and organizational commitment on employee performance with empowerment as an intervening variable at the Class I Immigration Office (Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I TPI) in Padang. The data collection method in this study was to use a questionnaire with a sample size of 75 respondents. Data analysis in this study used SmartPLS V3.0 with the SEM (structural equation modeling) analysis method. The results showed that (a) there is an insignificant positive effect of democratic leadership style on empowerment. (b) there is a significant positive effect of organizational commitment on empowerment. (c) there is an insignificant positive effect of democratic leadership style on employee performance. (d) there is a significant positive effect of organizational commitment on employee performance. (e) there is a significant positive effect of empowerment on employee performance. (f) there is an insignificant positive effect of democratic leadership style on employee performance through empowerment. (g) there is a significant positive effect of organizational commitment on employee performance through empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of motivation and work discipline on the performance of outsourcing employees at a service provider company in South Tangerang. A descriptive method with an associative nature and a quantitative approach was used to test population parameters through statistics. The population consists of 109 outsourcing cleaning service employees at PT. Siaga Mandatama Karya in 2019, with a saturated sample. Data analysis included validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, multiple linear regression, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test. The results show that motivation has a significant and positive impact on employee performance, with a strong correlation between the two variables. Work discipline also has a significant and positive effect on employee performance, indicating a strong relationship between them. When both motivation and work discipline are considered together, they have a significant and positive effect on employee performance. The analysis shows a strong relationship between the independent variables (motivation and work discipline) and the dependent variable (employee performance). The coefficient of determination indicates that motivation and work discipline contribute significantly to employee performance, while other factors also influence it. In conclusion, motivation and work discipline have a significant and positive effect on the performance of outsourcing employees at the service provider company in South Tangerang.
