Abstract

Pakkat is a rattan tuber that is still very young and tastes a bit bitter. Young Rottan plants known as "Pakkat" growing in the wilderness are consumed as fresh vegetables or food additives eaten with rice is a traditional food. Mandailing. This study used data that was analyzed descriptively qualitatively using ethnographic methods which aimed to describe completely and thoroughly the young rattan plant "Pakkat" in the Mandailing community in Matondang village, using the approach of observation and interviews with the local community. In the process of collecting field data, the researcher met several informants who knew about Pakkat knowledge. In conducting this research, the authors obtained field data that Pakkat is a typical Mandailing food which is widely believed that those who eat Pakkat will have a high appetite. In addition, Pakkat can also help reduce various types of risks such as heart disease, gout, colds, diarrhea, sugar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of planting and growing mustard bok choy through hydroponics. Hydroponics is a system of cultivating plants without using soil as a medium for growing plants. Provision of nutrients needed for hydroponic cultivation of plants, essential nutrients both macro, and micro. Bok choy is a plant that has high economic value. The planting of bok choy mustard is carried out in Tanjung Balai City, Teluk Nibung District, Struggle Village. The process of planting mustard bok choy is carried out in the area where the researcher lives in June due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The time for planting mustard bok choy is carried out for approximately 40 days until the harvest. The interaction between the concentration of nutrients and the type of mustard affects the growth of mustard bok choy. The nutrients used for planting mustard bok choy are AB Mix nutrients. This study showed that the concentration of AB Mix nutrients given to the growth of mustard bok choy grew hydroponically

Abstract

One of the most essential Islamic messages is to instill an excellent character to every human being, according to the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):  "Allah sent me to fulfill akhlaq (morals)". The fundamental message of Islam is to build akhlaq in human life. In Islam, a good character is known as Al-Akhlaq Al-Karimah. All Muslim thinkers do their research on Akhlaq or a good character. The research attempts to illustrate the concept of Al-Akhlaq Al-Karimah according to Ibn Miskawayh and Al-Ghazali and to describe their fundamental thoughts on the matter, explicitly dealing with the building of human character. The research is based on library research with a philosophical approach. From this study, I concluded that according to Ibn Meskavayh, look more philosopher while Al-Ghazali is more Sufistic. In the meantime, they have similarities to the fundamentals of the human faculty. Ibn Miskawayh and Al-Ghazaly had similarities to the basic human faculties, and this faculty should be preserved and developed. According to Ibn Miskawayh, the faculty of man should be educated by keeping all of these faculties always balanced in a way that he calls the middle way. This means that the human faculties must be balanced between over (Israf) and Distillation (Taqthir). The best of all is the middle thing. Al-Ghazali focuses his thoughts on building a good character on the Sufi approach to build a closer relationship with Almighty God through good and closer relationship to Almighty God.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts in improving of teacher capacity and education personnel in SMAN 1 Medan, focus on the manufacture of Dupak, Piki and Bandicam. The method used and the reason for the variation of the phenomenological approach. The research method is how to do something by using a mind carefully to achieve the objectives in the study. The finding stated that the activities of making Dupak, Piki and Bandicam have benefits among the teachers

Abstract

The main problem in this research is how Boarding School Management of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Serang. This study aims to find and describe the content of policies, planning, management, problems, supporting factors, results achieved, and how to resolve the problems in the Implementation of Boarding School in MAN 2 Serang. This study used qualitative descriptive method approach, which is related to data collection, which aims to describe the condition and situation in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Serang. Data collection techniques used are interview, observation, documentation, and triangulation. Boarding School is an integrated educational institution between general education and 'pesantren' education as supporting of teaching learning activity in Madrasah. The aim of implementing more advance and comprehensive education, holistic, the world of science can be achieved and religious knowledge can be mastered. Boarding School management system in MAN 2 Serang is a 'semi-pesantren' system, where all students are required to live in Boarding.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship between the ability of teachers to manage the classroom, students’ motivation in learning and its significance to the learning outcomes of Fiqh at MDTA Babul Ulum Medan. This research follows quantitative research with survey method. The population of this study consists of all students of MDTA Babul Ulum Medan, 170 people, with a sample taken 15% of the population, namely 26 fourth grade students. The data were collected using a questionnaire for further correlation analysis. The findings of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the ability of teachers to manage the classroom with Fiqh learning outcomes with a correlation of 0.706, and there is a significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes with a correlation of 0.719. as well as a significant relationship between the ability of teachers to manage the classroom and learning motivation simultaneously on learning outcomes of fiqh with a correlation of 0.792.

Abstract

Science in the 21st century continues to develop. With these developments, Indonesia must prepare young people who are ready for change and able to face the challenges that exist in the 21st century. The 21st century has more complex challenges. Various efforts have been made by the government to meet the demands of the 21st century, including reforming educational standards. The 2013 curriculum requires students to be active in the learning process. Learning methods and models that are expected to be able to develop students' abilities, and in accordance with the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, are problem-based learning. Therefore, researchers are interested in finding the effect of PBL-based teaching on student learning outcomes through meta-analysis with effect size. Based on the analysis conducted on 20 journals related to PBL-based teaching materials, there are three conclusions in this study. First, PBL-based teaching materials are effectively used at the junior and senior high school levels with a high effect size category. Second, PBL-based teaching materials have the highest category of effectiveness in improving science process skills. Third, based on the teaching materials used, teaching materials in the form of electronic media (IT) based on PBL are effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the movement of modernization of education dayah in recent decades. The object of this research is centered on Dayah Modern Education Foundation Arun Lhokseumawe, which is a dayah that has successfully developed the education system by using the approach of modern spirituality reality while maintaining the quality of education. This research uses qualitative approach through case study model design. Based on the findings of researchers concluded that modernization is carried out the system of vision-mission elaboration, implementation and elaboration of dayah curriculum that combines the national curriculum (school) with the local curriculum (dayah) that supports the perfection of the teaching and learning system, learning tools or media used, teaching and learning methods used, as well as a modern evaluation or assessment system to know the success rate of student learning, or santriwan and santriwati. The process of modernization of education in modern dayah Arun Education Foundation began with the establishment of MTs and MA dayah modern YAPENA in 2009 as an application of the vision of realizing a quality modern dayah to give birth to a generation of Muslims who believe and fear.

Abstract

Infrastructure is a standard of education considered and provided by every educational institution, because of complete facilities and infrastructure are a support for the learning process in an educational institution. Therefore, every educational institution must have feasible and useful in order to support the learning process. Effective learning is supported by complete facilities and infrastructure. Every school community should maintain and maintain existing facilities and infrastructure and also optimize the management to create durable school facilities and well maintained. The well service of these facilities and infrastructure is benefit to the school community, especially students in their learning. The main purpose of managing school facilities and infrastructure is to provide good and professional services in creating the effective and conducive school environment.

Abstract

The low scientific literacy of Indonesian students indicates the low quality of science/science education. Reality on the ground in the science learning process is that teachers only use textbooks and have not developed inquiry labs-based teaching materials. The research objective is to develop an integrated science teaching material based on inquiry labs that is valid, practical, and effective. The type of research is research and development (r&d). The test was conducted in class VIIB of MTsN 6 Sijunjung. The instruments used are expert validation sheets and student questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the validation of teaching materials have an average value of 89, meaning are very valid. The average practicality test results for teaching materials are 84, meaning are very practical. The results of statistical tests on students' scientific literacy tests were effective in increasing students' scientific literation
