Abstract

Watu Pinawetengan is a program music that attempts to render an extra-musical narrative musically which material comes from the Minahasa folklore about the Watu Pinawetengan mandate. The story is about negotiations in dividing agricultural territories to reduce conflicts due to land grabs. The existence of the values of deliberation, tolerance, and the spirit of unity are the reasons this story was appointed as a musical composition. So it is necessary to find relevant musical ideas to realize this composition. The process of creation begins by assigning extramusical material. This is done by gathering information and developing ideas about the plot. After that the musical elements are arranged based on the existing extramusical material. Minahasa ethnic music idioms such as scales, ornaments, and intervals are used to present the Minahasa ethnic atmosphere. Whereas Western diatonic music idioms help to create supporting atmosphere such as conflict, tension, concern, joy, and the spirit of unity.

Abstract

ABSTRAKRongiang Pasaman adalah seni pertunjukan yang berasal dari Kabupaten Pasaman Barat, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Kesenian ini merupakan hasil akulturasi antara etnis Minangkabau, etnis Jawa, dan etnis Mandailing. Akulturasi merupakan salah satu faktor yang membentuk suatu identitas. Kekitaan merupakan sebuah komposisi musik nusantara yang bertujuan untuk mengungkap identitas budaya Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Tujuan tersebut diwujudkan melalui penggarapan idiom musik dari tiga etnis di Ronggiang Pasaman yang ditinjau dari proses akulturasi budaya. Metode penciptaan yang digunakan terdiri dari observasi, elaborasi, dan realisasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, toleransi dan keharmonisan antaretnis merupakan nilai-nilai penting yang terkandung dalam kesenian Rongiang Pasaman sebagai wujud identitas budaya. Nilai-nilai tersebut diwujudkan dalam dua bagian karya musik yang berjudul Kekitaan.ABSTRACTRonggiang Pasaman is a performing art from West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatera Province. This art is the result of acculturation between the Minangkabau ethnic, Java ethnic, and Mandailing ethnic. Acculturation is one of the factors that form an identity. Kekitaan is a music that aims to reveal the cultural identity of West Pasaman Regency. This purpose is realized through the cultivation of musical idioms from three ethnic in Ronggiang Pasaman as seen from the process of cultural acculturation. The creation methods used consists of observation, elaboration, and realization. Based on the research results, tolerance and interethnic harmony are important values contained in the art of Ronggiang Pasaman as a form of cultural identity. Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran daring merupakan pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara online untuk menyampaikan materi ajar melalui media internet sebagai penghubungnya. SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan merupakan salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas yang melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran daring tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pembelajaran daring serta upaya mengatasinya dalam mata pelajaran gambar bentuk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Quota Sampling, dan keseluruhannya berjumlah 17 orang yang terdiri dari, 1 orang kepala sekolah, 1 orang guru bidang studi seni budaya, dan 15 orang siswa kelas X SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. Data dalam hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan angket. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran daring memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangannya tersendiri. Adanya pembelajaran daring yang prosesnya dapat dilaksanakan dengan fleksibel, terbukti sangat membantu dalam melangsungkan kegiatan belajar mengajar di rumah selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Pembelajaran daring akan berjalan dengan baik apabila segala faktor pendukungnya dapat dipenuhi. Namun, dikarenakan adanya kendala yang dapat timbul dari berbagai faktor, seseorang dituntut untuk memiliki inisiatif dalam mengatasi masalahnya sendiri. Upaya persiapan sebelum belajar perlu dipertimbangkan agar kegiatan saat pembelajaran daring nantinya dapat berjalan sesuai dengan yang diharapkanAbstractOnline learning is learning that is done online to deliver teaching materials through the internet as a liaison. SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan is one of the senior high schools that carry out these online learning activities. This study aims to determine the impact of online learning and efforts to overcome it in form drawing. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. The sample in this study was taken using the Quota Sampling technique. A total of 17 people consisting of 1 principal, one teacher in cultural arts studies, and 15 students of class X SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. The data in the research results were obtained by using interview and questionnaire techniques. The results of this study indicate that online learning has its advantages and disadvantages. The existence of online learning, whose process can be carried out flexibly, has proven to be very helpful in carrying out teaching and learning activities at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. Online learning will run well if all the supporting factors can be met. However, due to obstacles that can arise from various factors, a person must have the initiative to overcome his problems. Preparation efforts before learning need to be considered so that activities during online learning can later run as expected.

Abstract

The increase in campursari singers has led to competition between singers in the campursari music world. This study aims to determine how the creativity of Anjas Gitarani in maintaining his existence as a campur sari singer. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research approach. The results of this study are Anjas Gitarani is a dangdut singer, and campursari has an inherent characteristic. The first is the vocal characteristics, rocking characteristics, and using mask properties. These three things form the attributes of Anjas. If you only rely on talent, other talents might be better, and if you only rely on swaying, there will be other swings that people might prefer; if you rely on a property, other singers can follow suit. But if all three are combined into one in Anjas' body, it becomes a trait that is difficult for other singers to follow and can increase his existence as a campursari singer.ABSTRAKBertambahnya penyanyi-penyanyi campur sari memunculkan persaingan antar penyanyi di dunia musik campursari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kreativitas Anjas Gitarani dalam mempertahankan eksistensi sebagai penyanyi campur sari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Anjas Gitarani sebagai seorang penyanyi dangdut dan campursari memiliki ciri khas yang melekat pada dirinya. Pertama adalah ciri khas vokal, ciri khas goyang, dan ciri khas penggunaan properti topeng. Ketiga hal itu yang membentuk ciri pada diri Anjas. Jika hanya mengandalkan bakat, masih ada bakat lain yang mungkin akan lebih baik, jika hanya mengandalkan goyangan, akan ada goyangan-goyangan lain yang kemungkinan lebih disukai oleh masyarakat, jika mengandalkan properti juga bisa diikuti oleh penyanyi yang lain. Tetapi jika ketiganya digabungkan menjadi satu di dalam tubuh Anjas, menjadi ciri yang susah diikuti oleh penyanyi yang lain dan dapat meningkatkan eksistensinya sebagai penyanyi campur sari

Abstract

This research aimed to get deeper understanding about connection between music and the inculturation in the catholic church.. The form of the song Anak Domba Allah which is composed by Gabriel Edy Langgu that used East Manggaraians song’s motif gelang lite cela d’ into the part of his ordinarium mass. The song Anak Domba Allah is inculturation song form for the mass which is often used by the lay and clergy in Maria Assumpta Church, Kupang. The form of the song is not understood by all people in that church. The methodology used is to analyze in musicological the song Anak Domba Allah form. This song can be accepted and help people to worship in appreciation of the faith. Bentuk lagu Anak Domba Allah yang digubah oleh Gabriel Edy Langgu yang menggunakan motif lagu Manggarai Timur gelang lite cela d' menjadi bagian dari  ordinarium misanya. Lagu Anak Domba Allah merupakan bentuk lagu inkulturasi untuk misa yang sering digunakan oleh kaum awam dan rohaniawan di Gereja Maria Assumpta-Kupang. Bentuk lagunya tidak dipahami oleh semua orang di gereja itu. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah menganalisis secara musikologis bentuk lagu Anak Domba Allah. Lagu ini kemudian dapat diterima dan membantu orang untuk beribadah sebagai apresiasi iman. Gereja Katolik di Kota Kupang memiliki peran dalam melestarikan ordinarium lagu-lagu yang berwujud inkulturasi.Kata kunci: Inkulturasi Musik; Bentuk lagu Anak Domba Allah

Abstract

This research globally examines sounds and deals with the fact that inland tribes functioned in medical rituals that were transformed into stage art entertainment. Certain sounds and movements by the Inland Tribe in medicine have meaning and importance. Why the sounds were functioned in a medical ritual which was later changed the function of medicine in the interior to stage art. How is the interaction and form in the ritual of treatment that requires sounds. Research wants to give the same social attention to art and culture to the tribal civilization, which is sometimes considered backward. This research answers the social prejudices of the transfer of treatment locations from the interior to the stage art. The research technique / method uses qualitative techniques with studies in ethnomusicology, ethnography, art anthropology and art sociology. In the study found a management system that leads to a new theory of "Performance Art for the transfer of issues regarding the existence of Malay Tribal Culture"; practically building a model of the composition of the art of the Tribal Inland tradition as a consumption of urban communities, in the context of the new art culture in the present. Outcomes Research can conclude the uplift of the Tribal Civilization both in terms of music, other arts and all aspects of art do have values that are worth showing, but on the side or behind it turns out there is a certain mission by parties related to arts and culture in the study area Malay.

Abstract

This research have a purpose to see how far the home recording industry has developed in the city of Padang Panjang. Generally, the home recording industry players in the city of Padang Panjang are dominated by students and graduates of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Padangpanjang. Therefore this research is focused on the city of Padang Panjang in order to see the correlation between the ISI Padang Panjang and the people of the city of Padang Panjang. The data analysis starts from the historical scope of the music recording industry on a large scale until it ends in a smaller scope, namely the city of Padang Panjang. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with several points to be examined, namely thery and development of the home recording industry, the number of home recording players in the city of Padang Panjang, how the work processes and stages, the number of service users, and the impact on the economy.

Abstract

Abstract120 Arpeggio Op. 1 developed by Mauro Giuliani is a technique exercises specifically targeting the improvement of the ability of the right finger for classical guitarists. Various variations or complete right finger exercise formulas are summarized in 120 Arpeggio Op. 1 Mauro Giuliani. This research was conducted with the aim to find out about any aspect of the right hand that had improved after practicing using the 120 Arpeggio Op. 1 technique exercises method of Mauro Giuliani. The results of this research showed that there were several things that technically the right hand had improved after doing the exercises with the M. Giulian method, including: (1) Speed of the plucking, (2) Finger synchronization when plucking the string, (3) Accuracy of the finger when plucking the guitar strings and (4) Articulation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by prioritizing explanations which are then forwarded analytically to the research object.

Abstract

The Lombok's Sasak Songket cloth has a unique visual style and has spiritual and cultural values. Through this uniqueness, the problem in this paper is about how the process of transforming the Lombok's Sasak Songket pattern into a typographic identity. The aim is to describe the process of transforming the unique patterns of the Lombok's Sasak Songket cloth into a typographic identity. The method used in this design process is Design thinking, namely empathize (get an empathic understanding of the problem being solved), define (analyze observations and synthesize to determine the identified problem), ideate (generate several ideas to solve the problem), prototype (produce several quantities prototype), and test (testing the complete product using the best solution) based on Agus Sachari's transformation theory. Data collection was carried out through observation and literature study. In conclusion, through the process of transformation, the patterns of the Lombok's Songket Sasak are grouped into four typefaces. The first face consists of an uppercase letter (uppercase); The second face consists of lowercase letters (lowercase); The third face consists of numbers and the last face consists of punctuation marks.

Abstract

The forms of calligraphy paintings was expression of philosophical values of taqwa, it reflected the content of the holy Qur'an and giving the deep guidance of the importance of having attitude, behaviour and norms in a social life of human being. "Taqwa is being obeyed to all of Allah regulations cause of the light that comes from Allah almighty and he expects the reward from Allah and he leaves all the sins activities cause of the light of Allah and he fears of the torture from Allah". The method approach that used in this research were exploration, design and execution of the art work, which had previously been done through literature studies, empirical studies and field studies. The creation of calligraphy painting took from the translation of the holy Qur'an by surah Ali Imran verse 102 that stated "O you who believe, fear Allah truly in His piety; and do not ever die except in a Muslim situation. Calligraphy painting was a bridging of taqwa’s values as an expression to public.
