Abstract

This research was motivated by observation data which showed that student learning outcomes in PPKN material were very low. To respond to this, researchers conducted classroom action research aimed at improving student learning outcomes. The objectives to be achieved in this research include: (1) Knowing the implementation of the Cooperative Learning Model method CITY (Student Teams Achievement Division) in improving student learning outcomes, (2) Knowing the improvement in student learning outcomes with the Model CITY (Student Teams Achievement Division). This research is classroom action research using the cooperative STAD model. This research was conducted in class XII with a total of 40 students. This research measures all domains of learning outcomes, namely: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The research results show an increase in each domain in each cycle. By using the STAD cooperative model, students gain direct learning experience so that learning is more interesting and can improve student learning outcomes. From the data, it is recommended that teachers use the STAD cooperative model in PPKN learning at SMAN 14 Pandeglang to improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world including Indonesia requires taking astance to prevent wider transmission, including the education sector. In relation to this,the Ministry of Education and Culture has taken a firm stance through several circularsregarding education policies during the emergency period of the spread of Covid-19.This article examines the implementation of education policies during the Covid-19pandemic related to distance learning policies. The distance learning process is asolution that has not been optimally implemented overall during and after thepandemic. There are things that must be considered in this distance learning, includingthe quality of teacher resources must be improved, both in terms of teaching style,content, learning methods, learning media and methodology as well as in terms of theuse of information technology. In addition, students are also less active in participatingin this distance learning, either due to an unstable internet network or in terms of theprovision of limited internet quota. The purpose of writing this article is to study andunderstand the problems in learning activities during the pandemic, namely distancelearning so that students can participate actively and interestingly. This study uses aqualitative and observational approach. The results of this study prove that distancelearning (PJJ) during the Covid-19 pandemic has given rise to various responses andchanges in the learning system which can affect the learning process and the level ofdevelopment of students in responding to the material presented.

Abstract

This study examines the evolution of the epistemology of science from classical Greek thought, Islamic scientific tradition, empirical modernism, to relativistic postmodernism, and analyzes its implications for contemporary educational paradigms. The purpose of this study is to identify the epistemological character of each historical phase, find similarities and differences related to the sources and validity of knowledge, and formulate their influence on educational theory, learning approaches, and curriculum development in the modern and postmodern eras. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method through the analysis of primary philosophical sources and secondary academic literature. Data are classified thematically and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results show that Greek epistemology emphasizes rationality; Islamic epistemology is integrative between revelation, reason, and empiricism; modern epistemology prioritizes scientific empiricism and objectivity; while postmodern epistemology views knowledge as plural and contextual. The study concludes that these epistemological dynamics have a significant influence on educational paradigms. Modernism gave rise to objective and competency-based education; postmodernism gave rise to collaborative, contextual, and learner-centered learning; Meanwhile, Islamic epistemology offers an integrative paradigm that balances intellectual, empirical, and moral aspects. This research contributes theoretically as a cross-historical epistemological framework and practically as a reference for developing holistic and adaptive curricula and learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to develop flipbook-based learning media for the wine serving material in the Food and Beverage Service and Bar course. The research employed a Research and Development (RnD) method using the 4D development model, which consists of the stages of define, design, development, and disseminate. The research subjects included material experts as well as learning media and design experts. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the developed flipbook learning media was categorized as “Very Feasible” for use, with a feasibility score of 86.7% from material experts and 96,7% from media and design experts. Based on these results, the flipbook learning media is considered suitable to be used as a supporting learning medium in the Food and Beverage Service and Bar course.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether students' learning preferences and academic success are related. The researcher used the correlation method in quantitative design. Questionnaire and student transcripts served as the data collection tools. The sample consisted of 22 students. Data questionnaire used analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment Formula. It was used to analyzing the question base on the category of students learning style. The Second Semester English Education Students’ of Batanghari University. Findings of the students' learning styles also indicate that, out of all the other kinds of learning styles, The findings indicated that the majority of students selected Visual + Kinesthetic learning styles. Additionally, the mean score of 81 indicates that the second semester English education students at FKIP Batanghari University in Jambi had an excellent learning style. The average student achievement score in learning English was 83, which is considered very high. Students' achievement and their learning style did not correlate well. R analysis was 0.750, falling between 0.60 and 0.799, indicating high correlation. between their learning style and their performance in English classes.

Abstract

This study explores the perceptions, interests, and digital readiness of Scout members at the Penegak and Pandega levels regarding the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Scouting activities. A quantitative descriptive research design was applied using a survey method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via social media group chats consisting of active Scout members. A total of 75 respondents participated in the study. The findings reveal that the majority of respondents perceive Scouting activities as supportive of SDG achievement, particularly in the areas of quality education, health and well-being, environmental protection, and climate action. Leadership skill development and opportunities for social interaction emerged as the most influential factors determining interest in participating in Scouting activities. Although most respondents acknowledged the importance of technology in supporting Scouting programs, the current contribution of Scouting activities to improving digital competencies was perceived as moderate, indicating room for further development. Action-based activities, such as environmental initiatives and social service programs, were identified as the most preferred forms of SDG-related Scouting activities. Overall, the results highlight the strategic potential of the Scout Movement as a non-formal education platform for promoting sustainable development among youth. Strengthening the systematic and contextual integration of SDGs into Scouting programs is therefore recommended to maximize their educational and societal impact.

Abstract

cation plays a crucial role in shaping human resources capable of facing the complexities of the 21st century. One of the essential skills students must develop is critical thinking, which is vital not only for academic success but also for daily life. Developing critical thinking skills requires teachers to possess strong pedagogical competencies in designing challenging, reflective, and contextual learning experiences. However, in practice, many teachers encounter obstacles such as limited time, administrative burdens, and a lack of understanding of effective learning strategies. Implementing discussion-based, debate-based, problem-solving, project-based, and problem-based learning strategies can enhance students’ critical thinking abilities. Furthermore, the integration of educational technology is essential to create interactive and adaptive learning environments. Teachers act as facilitators and agents of change who encourage students to think analytically, reflectively, and innovatively. Thus, strengthening critical thinking skills supports the achievement of national educational goals in developing individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, creative, and competitive in the global era.

Abstract

Housekeeping instruction in vocational education requires mastery of practical skills in accordance with hotel industry Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), particularly in Making Bed competency. However, practical learning is often constrained by limited demonstration time and the lack of visual learning media that can be accessed independently by students. This study aimed to develop a Making Bed instructional video for Housekeeping subjects for eleventh-grade hospitality students at SMK Negeri 1 Singaraja and to evaluate its feasibility.This study employed a Research and Development approach using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The instructional video was developed based on the duvet method in accordance with hotel industry SOP. Media feasibility was assessed through expert validation involving two subject-matter experts and two media and instructional design experts using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods.The results showed that the instructional video achieved a feasibility score of 100% from subject-matter experts and 99.47% from media and instructional design experts, both categorized as very feasible. These findings indicate that the developed instructional video meets content accuracy, procedural correctness, visual quality, and instructional design standards.In conclusion, the Making Bed instructional video is highly feasible and relevant as a supporting medium for Housekeeping instruction in vocational schools, particularly in enhancing students’ understanding of procedural skills aligned with hotel industry standards.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using Quizizz as a formative assessment instrument on student learning outcomes in the History of the Birth of Pancasila material. Low learning achievement due to monotonous evaluation methods requires the integration of technology in learning. This research applied a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population included all seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Candi Sidoarjo, with sampling conducted via random sampling technique, selecting class VII-8 as the experimental group and class VII-3 as the control group. Data collection instruments consisted of learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest) which were valid and reliable. Data analysis was performed using the Independent Sample T-Test inferential statistic after meeting the normality and homogeneity prerequisite tests. The results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Students who used Quizizz-based assessment obtained significantly higher average learning outcomes compared to students who used conventional assessment. This study concludes that Quizizz is proven effective as an adaptive evaluation alternative and capable of improving student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education subjects.

Abstract

The new paradigm in the 21st century’s 5.0 is the integration and application of technology in life. One application of this technology is in education.learning designed to adapt to the technological context is expected to provide a unique learning experience for students and lecturers. This research is a developmental research project utilizing technology in the form of e-book development. The purpose of this study to determine the steps in e-book development and the feasibility. The methods is Research&Development (R&D), model 4D approach consistingof four stages: define, design, develop, disseminate. The subjects included media expert validators, material expert validators, and 10 student responden. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and quetionnaires to assess e-book feasibility. The results show a percentage of 93,81% of media expert validators with the qualification “Very Eligible” percentage 96.88% by materials experts with the qualification”Very Eligible” and percentage of 93,17% by student responses with the category “Very Eligible” overall the e-book mearning media in the room service course is suitable for use as a mearning medium to support the lecture process.
