Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity was explained, so that parents, and the community in Kauman Village, Sedayu District, Gresik Regency, had more attention about the importance of assisting children in operating the Mobile Phone (HP), especially in accessing social media. The approach that will be applied in the implementation of this activity is the lecture and simulation methods. The activities that will be carried out are an explanation of the understanding, rules, and dangers that will come if the operation of a child without the assistance and education of a parent, parenting is done by providing how the application of parents who should, in assisting their children to play mobile or social media. From this parenting activity, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the community's understanding of the nature of parenting, and the implementation of parenting, the impacts that can occur. The increase was seen from the average value of the pre-test of 85%, which initially not many participants understood the positive and negative aspects of social media, this means that only 15% of participants knew the nature of parenting. After taking part in the training in parenting activities, the average post-test score rose to 92% of participants who understood parenting, and only 8% were left with low scores.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Community of Inquiry (CoI) model assisted by social media on problem-solving abilities. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. As an Experiment Class is the Civics Education Study Program, the treatment of the CoI learning model is assisted by Social Media, and as the Control Class is the Economic Education Study Program with the treatment of the CoI learning model without assistance. The data were collected using the test technique and observation sheet and analyzed with a t-test at a significance level (α) = 0.05. A value of 3.585 was obtained that the equal variances were not assumed to have a sig. 0.001 is less than 0.05, so Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Thus, there is a significant influence between the CoI learning model assisted by social media on problem-solving in educational policy courses.

Abstract

Nasionalisme merupakan kesadaran untuk mecintai, mempertahankan dan memperjuangkan tanah air. Memudarnya semangat Nasionalisme dikalangan generasi muda saat ini dapat menjadi permasalahan yang serius jika tidak segera diatasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kehidupan nasionalisme pada siswa kelas X di SMA ITP Surabaya dan untuk menemukan upaya meningkatkan semangat nasionalisme dalam pembelajaran PPKn sehingga dapat menemukan faktor pendukung dan penghambat upaya meningkatkan semangat nasionalisme dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA ITP. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kehidupan nasionalisme siswa SMA ITP sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan semangat nasionalisme yaitu melalui pembelajaran PPKn. Pelajaran PPKn dapat meningkatkan semangat nasionalisme siswa karena materi muatan dalam pembelajaran PPKn sangat erat kaitnya dengan pengamalan sila Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dan dalam proses penerapanya terdapat faktor yang menjadi pendorong dan penghambat dalam upaya meningkatkan semangat nasionalisme.

Abstract

Penurunan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia membuat guru atau pendidik dituntut untuk lebih kreatif dengan adanya inovasi-inovasi baru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran. Salah satu cara yang bisa dilakukan di era teknologi ini adalah memanfaatkan aplikasi edukatif Quizizz yang merupakan aplikasi pendidikan berbasis game. Pembelajaran berbasis game ini akan membuat suasana kelas menjadi menyenangkan dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah guru dan beberapa peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Wiyata Dharma Kesamben serta literatur lainnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Seluruh data akan diuji kredibilitasnya menggunakan triangulasi teknik dengan mengecek data dari hasil observasi yang kemudian dicek dengan hasil wawancara serta dokumentasi selama penelitian berlangsung di SMP Wiyata Dharma Kesamben. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dengan pemanfaatan aplikasi Quizizz dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PPKn kelas VIII SMP Wiyata Dharma Kesamben. Penggunaan aplikasi edukatif berbasis game membuat suasana belajar menjadi menyenangkan dan meningkatkan motivasi peserta didik untuk belajar dan mengerjakan soal-soal yang dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar.

Abstract

The digital era is now changing the way people view doing business, especially the millennial generation. This millennial generation is one of the few people affected by technology. This generation is not only surfing social media, but also working on their personal accounts to take advantage of unlimited digital business opportunities, ranging from being speakers, brand ambassadors, endorsements, content creators, and many more. Business opportunities in the digital era are very promising, but often some of the millennial young generation now have not found a direction in building personal branding. This happened because of the lack of understanding and readiness among these young people. The need for real efforts through community service programs carried out by the PPKn Study Program of PGRI Adi Buana University Surabaya to socialize the youth of Banjar Kemuning Village to use social media by becoming content creators. The method of implementing this community service is the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The result of this service program is to open views and provide understanding to village youth to use social media as a business opportunity. The active response and enthusiasm of village youth in paying attention to the material shows interest in becoming content creators.

Abstract

Professional teachers are certified teachers. One of the implementing institutions for teacher certification or PPG is the PGRI Adi Buana University in Surabaya, with one of its study programs being the PGSD study program. In accordance with one of the visions of PPG UNIPA Surabaya is to organize PPG which refers to the achievement of pedagogic, professional, personality and social competencies as well as being able to develop information technology-based learning and provide education for teaching staff so that PPG graduates of PGSD Study Program who have received educator certificates are expected to be able to become good teacher. professional. Teacher professionalism can be related to teacher performance and teacher motivation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance and motivation of teachers in East Java who graduated from the PGSD PPG Study Program. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Sampling was carried out using probability sampling technique, which provides equal opportunities for all elements in the population. Data collection techniques using survey methods through questionnaires and interviews. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires and interview guidelines. Based on the measurement results through several aspects of PPG UNIPA Surabaya graduates are very good, this can be proven through the results obtained through measurement instruments which involve several aspects, starting from; a) the integrity aspect of the alumni is very good, b) compiling innovative learning shows that the competence of graduates in compiling and developing innovative learning is good,

Abstract

This research was conducted against the background of the phenomenon of declining social behavior in society and the problems it causes. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the development of children's social behavioral attitudes through advocacy activities. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were children aged 8-12 years in Taman District, Sidoarjo. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that advocacy activities can develop children's social care attitudes towards various social issues that develop in the community. These issues include the environment, social justice, education, and health. Participation in advocacy activities illustrates cooperation in the form of collaboration between children with each other. They learn to cooperate in achieving goals. The role of advocacy institutions is initiation, planning, mobilizing resources, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating.

Abstract

Islamic student boarding school (pesantren) an institution that operates in the fields of religion, education, and society, has recently received a sharp focus on issues of religious radicalism and terrorism. Pesantren has long been an institution that has an important contribution to participate in the intellectual life of the Indonesian nation. This study aims to analyze the leadership model in student boarding schools that can counteract the growth and development of religious radicalism movements in Indonesia. This research was phenomenological qualitative research that took place in three student boarding schools in Java, Indonesia. The three student boarding schools were the Al-Hikam Student Islamic Boarding School in Malang City, the Al-Jihad Student Islamic Boarding School in Surabaya, and the Budi Mulia Student Islamic Boarding School in Sleman Yogyakarta. Sources of data used included boarding school administrators, students, and alumni, as well as documents and archives. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, document searches, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). Data analysis was carried out phenomenologically with a systematic procedure. The research findings show that the leadership models in the three student boarding schools generally have similarities even though each pesantren has its characteristics. The leadership model in the three student Islamic boarding schools includes democratic leadership, which is managed in a systematic, open, collegial, and decentralized manner with many individuals who do not fully rely on charisma and are not completely paternalistic. This democratic leadership model has proven to be effective in countering religious radicalism movements in student boarding schools in particular and in society in general.
