Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ levels of learning engagement by gender in social studies classes at SMPN 14 Semarang, as measured across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The research method employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with the sampling technique focusing on students who played an active role during social studies lessons. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects were students in Class IX D. The results showed that female students were more dominant in actively participating in class across all three domains, with a percentage of 73.33% during Social Studies lessons, compared to male students at 20%. This was because female students had a better grasp of the Social Studies material due to their habit of preparing for class before lessons began, whereas male students lacked the motivation to prepare for Social Studies lessons beforehand, resulting in female students dominating classroom participation. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that female students demonstrated higher levels of participation than male students in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains during Social Studies lessons. This finding makes an important contribution by highlighting that student engagement based on gender still requires the implementation of more inclusive and interactive learning strategies. These strategies need to be designed to encourage balanced increases in student engagement, without favoring one gender over the other. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the legal liability of skincare producers toward consumers under Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (UUPK) and to examine the judicial considerations in the Supreme Court Decision Number 1779 K/Pdt/2014. The research method employs a normative juridical legal research with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature study of primary and secondary legal materials. The results indicate that skincare producers are obligated to guarantee product safety and provide compensation for consumer losses through the principle of strict liability. However, the Supreme Court Decision Number 1779 K/Pdt/2014 annulled the compensation on the grounds that the plaintiff was a promotional participant and not an end-consumer. The study concludes that there is a vacuum of substantive legal protection for non-transactional cosmetic product users (promotional participants/models) within Indonesian jurisprudence, thereby requiring an expanded interpretation of the definition of end-consumer to uphold the principle of legal justice. Abstract

Islamization in Ternate has often been discussed as a historical process of religious expansion, trade, and sultanate politics, but it has rarely been examined as a communication process. This study aims to analyze the Islamization of Ternate from the perspectives of da’wah communication and intercultural communication. This research uses a qualitative descriptive design with a literature study method. The data were collected from academic books, journal articles, historical documents, and previous studies relevant to Islamization, da’wah communication, intercultural communication, and Ternate society. The findings show that Islamization in Ternate developed gradually through spice trade networks, social interaction, religious education, and the political authority of the sultanate. Sultan Zainal Abidin and Sultan Babullah strengthened Islamic values through governance, while Muslim scholars such as Datu Maulana Husein delivered Islamic messages through persuasive and culturally adaptive da’wah. This study concludes that Islamization in Ternate succeeded because Islamic messages were communicated through dialogical, adaptive, and culturally accommodative approaches. The findings imply that da’wah communication becomes more effective when it respects local culture, builds social trust, and uses communication strategies that fit the cultural context of society. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the risk factors influencing the severity of road traffic accident victims within the jurisdiction of the Metro Jaya Regional Police. A quantitative approach employing an explanatory and cross-sectional research design was adopted. The study utilized 26,626 road traffic accident records obtained from the Integrated Road Safety Management System (IRSMS) of the Indonesian National Traffic Corps during the 2023–2025 period. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Chi-Square test, and Ordinal Logistic Regression with IBM SPSS Statistics at a 5% significance level. The findings indicate an increasing trend in road traffic accidents throughout the study period, with motorcycles and individuals in the productive age group representing the highest proportion of accident victims. The Chi-Square analysis revealed that human, vehicle, road, and environmental factors were significantly associated with injury severity (p<0.05). Furthermore, ordinal logistic regression demonstrated that the human factor was the most dominant predictor of injury severity, with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 6.31, followed by vehicle factors (OR=2.51), road factors (OR=1.96), and environmental factors (OR=1.74). The study concludes that improving road safety should prioritize enhancing road user compliance, increasing the use of safety equipment, improving vehicle roadworthiness, and upgrading road infrastructure to support evidence-based road safety policies. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of healthcare personnel services, service time, service conformity, clinic facilities, and administration and registration on patient satisfaction while accounting for patients nested within clinics. The method used a quantitative analysis of de-identified secondary survey data collected from January to December 2025, comprising 2,740 patients from 17 clinics in a State-Owned Enterprise subsidiary clinic network. A two-level linear mixed model with a clinic random intercept was estimated using restricted maximum likelihood. The results showed that the null-model intraclass correlation coefficient was 51.17%. In the full model, service conformity had the strongest positive effect (b = 0.399; p < 0.001), followed by clinic facilities (b = 0.041; p = 0.001). Healthcare personnel services, service time, and administration and registration were not significant. Between-clinic variance declined by 55.76%, although the remaining random intercept was significant (p = 0.008). The conclusion is that expectation fulfillment and clinic facilities should be prioritized, while persistent between-clinic differences require unit-specific quality improvement. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the lives of children in the ‘Aisyiyah orphanage in Payakumbuh City during the period 1998–2024, focusing on the social, economic, educational, and care dynamics within the institution. This research employed historical methods, including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, utilizing written sources, archives, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the orphanage plays a crucial role in providing Islamic-based care, encompassing basic needs, formal and non-formal education, moral development, and life skills training. Since the Reformation Era, the institution has experienced gradual infrastructure improvements, although it continues to face challenges such as limited funding and a shortage of professional caregivers. Most children enter the orphanage due to poverty, the loss of one or both parents, or unfavorable family circumstances. The adaptation process for newcomers is often emotionally challenging, but a supportive, family-like environment and structured guidance help them grow and develop. Furthermore, this study shows that the transition of children leaving the orphanage to independence is supported through skills training programs, alumni networks, and local government assistance. Despite financial and facility constraints, the 'Aisyiyah Orphanage has survived and adapted to changing times, remaining a vital social institution contributing to the well-being of children in Payakumbuh City. The conclusion of this study is that the 'Aisyiyah Orphanage in Payakumbuh City has succeeded in becoming a pillar of protection and care for vulnerable children through a consistent Islamic and family approach. The success of its independence program and institutional adaptation proves its existence and real contribution in addressing social welfare problems in Payakumbuh City. Keywords: Aisyiyah, Child Care, Orphanage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of da’wah content disseminated by students, their level of participation in content production, and the role of digital literacy in supporting da’wah activities through social media. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with in-depth interviews conducted with active students, alumni, and lecturers within the Islamic Preaching Management Study Program at Universitas Islam Nusantara Al-Azhaar Lubuklinggau. The findings indicate that Instagram is actively utilized as a platform for da’wah, featuring various content formats such as short videos, Qur’anic verses, hadith quotations, and Islamic motivational messages presented in an engaging and youth-oriented manner. Students demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm in producing da’wah content; however, they still face several challenges, including limited technical skills in content creation, inconsistency in account management, and insufficient institutional support. Despite these challenges, digital da’wah through Instagram has proven to be effective in reaching a broad youth audience and aligning with contemporary digital communication patterns. In conclusion, Instagram holds significant potential as a strategic medium for contemporary da’wah; however, its effectiveness is highly dependent on the enhancement of digital literacy, student creativity, and sustained institutional support. Keywords: Digital Da’wah, Instagram, Student Engagement.
