Abstract

Plyometrics is an explosive physical training method used to increase power output, force production, and speed. Plyometrics is a way to push muscles to achieve maximal strength quickly and thus serves to increase explosive-reactive power through a variety of movements and is a popular training approach. Therefore, plyometric training is expected to have an effect on the results of the starting jump distance, and researchers aim to study more deeply the effect of plyometric training on the results of the starting jump distance in swimming. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The population in this study involved 70 Tritons swimming club athletes located at the Horizon Swimming Pool, Bandung City, then the sample used was 15 people selected using purposive sampling techniques, with the instruments used being taken from the results of measuring the distance of the swimming start jump with the Kinovea application. The data were processed and analyzed using a normality test withShapiro Wilkthen analyzed using the T test with SPSS 25. The T test value is with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, based on the test results, the Sig. (2-tailed) value <.05 so that H0 is rejected. then it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between plyometric training on the results of the start jump distance of swimming sports. Thus, because of this significance, it can be seen that plyometric training can affect the start jump distance of swimming sports.

Abstract

Bullying is like a poison that slowly destroys the future of the younger generation. This behavior is not just a joke or prank, but an emotional wound that can leave deep scars for life. In Indonesia, bullying cases are still a serious problem, with data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission and the Indonesian Teachers Union Federation showing a significant increase from 2020 to 2023. In 2023, the highest percentage of bullying cases was recorded at the junior high school level. This situation confirms that bullying cases continue to increase and require a quick response and collaboration from various parties to prevent it. This study aims to explore the effect of an innovative model that integrates the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model with an audiovisual-based reciprocal teaching style in minimizing bullying behavior in male and female students. The method used was a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 30 students from one class VIII became the research sample. Data collection used a questionnaire based on the Olweus Bully/Victim Questionnaire (OBVQ) consisting of 23 items, covering three dimensions of bullying, namely verbal (8 items), physical (7 items), and non-verbal/non-physical (8 items). Descriptive analysis, prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), and parametric paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the descriptive analysis and Paired Sample T-Test showed that the intervention given was effective in reducing bullying behavior in male and female students. A more significant decrease occurred in male students, who were likely more responsive to the intervention than female students. These results confirm that the implementation of the NHT-type cooperative learning model with an audiovisual-based reciprocal style is effective in reducing bullying behavior in the learning process environment. This study provides an important contribution to the development of bullying prevention strategies among students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of eye-hand coordination, finger strength, and concentration on the ability to pass up in volleyball in students who participate in extracurricular activities at MTs Negeri 1 Prabumulih. The research uses an experimental method with a 2x2x2 factorial design. The research sample consisted of 60 students selected using a purposive sampling technique from the volleyball extracurricular student population. Data collection was carried out through a series of tests, including: (1) eye-hand coordination test using the ball wall pass test, (2) hand finger strength test with hand dynamometer, (3) concentration test using grid concentration test, and (4) upper passing ability test using brady volleyball test. The data was analyzed using a three-track ANOVA with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant influence between eye-hand coordination on upper passing ability (F_hitung = 15.32 > F_tabel = 4.08), (2) there was a significant influence between hand finger strength on upper passing ability (F_hitung = 12.45 > F_tabel = 4.08), (3) there was a significant influence between concentration level on upper passing ability (F_hitung = 10.78 > F_tabel = 4.08), and (4) there was a significant interaction between the three variables on the upper passing ability (F_hitung = 8.92 > F_tabel = 4.08). The conclusion of this study is that eye-hand coordination, finger strength, and concentration jointly or partially have a significant influence on the upper passing ability in volleyball games in extracurricular students of MTs Negeri 1 Prabumulih.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Plyometric Exercise on improving forehand in pickleball, focusing on the age of 15-18 years. The research conducted was quantitative method with quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test non-equivalent to control the group design. The respondents of this study were 40 pickleball athletes aged 15–18 years. They were divided into two groups, of which 20 respondents were in the experimental group. While the control subjects numbered 20 people. The research instrument used a forehand test on pickleball. The data was analyzed with the SPSS 26 application. The results of this study showed that the value of t = 41.68, df = 20 and its significance (2 tailed) or p-value = 0.000 < 0.05. Thus the descriptive statistical results with 20 experimental subjects showed an average of 18.95, and after they were given treatment, the post-test results showed a mean of 35.05. This shows that descriptively obtained differences before and after treatment. Thus, the descriptive statistical results for the 20 control subjects were an average of 18.20, and after treatment the average post-test result was 22.21. This shows that descriptively obtained differences before and after being given treatment. Therefore, it can be ascertained that this plyometric exercise is effective in increasing the topspin groundstroke ability of junior tennis athletes aged 15-18 years.
