Abstract

Loan words were foreign words used by a particular language to fill a linguistic gap, multiplying borrowed words in the target language. In addition to borrowing words from Sanskrit, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and English, the Indonesian language also use many words from Arabic. As part of this research, the researchers attempted to determine which words were borrowed and to investigate the meaning of the Arabic borrowed words in the primary body of the Indonesian Constitution. The method used for this research was the qualitative descriptive method, and the approach used is a librarian and the procedure for data collection. The researcher used written documents and the method to analyze the data. The researcher used the comparative approach to define the change of meaning of Arabic borrowed words in the Indonesian language in the preamble of the Indonesian Constitution in 1945. The result of the research was the number of Arabic borrowed words at the opening of the Basic Constitution 19. The borrowed word the research is expected to add ınsıght and knowledge ın the field of langueage and can provıde ınformatıon and ınput.

Abstract

 Learning with games is an exciting thing that encourages student interest because learning becomes interactive and can increase student motivation and interest. One form of game for learning foreign languages is game scattergories. This scattergories game was implemented at Islamic Senior high school 1 Malang to learn Arabic vocabulary. This research is a descriptive qualitative method that describes the process of learning Arabic vocabulary by using scattergories game in Islamic Senior high school 1 Malang and the advantages and disadvantages of applying the game process. In this research, participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation are data collection techniques—observation regarding learning Arabic vocabulary with the scattergories game. In-depth interview were conducted by interviewing Arabic teacher and students of class X-G of Islamic senior high school 1 Malang. The analysis technique adopts the Miles and Huberman model: data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research showed that: 1) There were six stages in learning Arabic vocabulary with scattergories at Senior High school 1 Malang, namely opening the lesson, dividing into groups, preparing and discussing, implementing the game, determining the winner and closing the lesson. 2) Learning with scattergories can increase motivation and encourage students to learn; students can think quickly and become the focus of learning. However, during the process, the teacher must make careful preparations, which require a relatively long time. The application of this game is fun and provides positive benefits for students.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are classified into four categories, namely: 1) analyzing the process of adaptation of Arabic to the Betawi language by identifying linguistic, cultural, and contextual changes that occur using adaptation methods; 2) identifying changes in the cultural context to uncover aspects such as traditions, values, and social norms reflected in the story; 3) analyze the use of Arabic vocabulary and phrases in this story as a result of adaptation. This method helps to understand the role of Arabic vocabulary in the story and its influence on the Betawi language; 4) examine the cultural and social impact of translation using the Story Adaptation method; 5) evaluate the cultural and social impact of adapting this story in Betawi society. The analysis results show that children's stories can influence cultural identity and enrich Betawi cultural heritage. This study used qualitative-descriptive research methods. The research method uses two sources, namely, primary from children's storybooks "Narada", and secondary sources from books, articles, and dictionaries. The results of this study found translations with adaptations: 1) categories of natural environment. 2) self-name category. 3) category of relatives' names. The strategies used in translating this book are taqdim and ta'khir (putting forward-backward), hadzf (discarding), ziyadah (adding), and tabdil (replacing).

Abstract

The science of Balaghah is an integral part of the Arabic language. Through the science of balaghah, we can know and dive into how beautiful the Arabic language both in terms of pronunciation and meaning. We can also see the beauty of balaghah in the redaction of the Qur'an because in it, there are many miracles of the Qur'an in terms of the beauty of wording and meaning. This study aims to find out about the beauty of the verse of qashidah ‘Ainiyyah from the point of view of type rhymes and to determine the level (degree) of rhymes contained in Qashidah ‘Ainiyyah. This study is a study that uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature review research. Literature review is a research carried out by collecting several books related to the title, then an analysis based on the sources that have been collected. The primary Data used in this study is Qashidah ‘Ainiyyah, while the secondary data used by researchers include the book of Diwan Imamul Haddad, The Book of Syarhul ‘Ainiyyah, and The Book of Jawahirul Balaghah. The research results obtained are there are 3 types of rhymes contained in Qashidah 'Ainiyyah namely rhyme ‘mutharraf’, rhymes ‘mutawaazi’ and rhyme ‘murashsha'. In addition there are 2 levels of beauty degrees rhymes: degrees ‘ulya and degrees wustha.

Abstract

Education is something that a person needs to gain useful knowledge and form a character with good morals. The implementation of the independent curriculum has been implemented optimally, but of course, the form of implementation is still being carried out in stages. This research aims to describe the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MAN 1 Kendari, which is identical to religious subjects based on KMA 183 and KMA 184 in 2019. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method, which explains something real by looking at the situation. Occurs and leads to direct activity. Research techniques use observation and interview techniques. The results of the research have identified that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MAN 1 Kendari has gone well. However, there is still a need for cooperation between students and teachers as well as all Madrasah parties to develop an independent learning curriculum that is already running. Motivation is needed from the school principal to be able to continue straighten out when there are mistakes in learning, especially in Arabic subjects.

Abstract

Listening skill is a basic skill element for students who will start learning a foreign language. Therefore, the ability to listen is very important for teachers and students when teaching or learning Arabic as a foreign language. To achieve predetermined learning objectives, teachers need high creativity and innovation in using learning strategies or media, especially to develop listening skills. Learning media as a teaching tool that is relevant to teaching materials can make students motivated to learn. By using audio-visual media based on Arabic animation, learning Arabic can be made more interesting, simplify the learning process, increase students' motivation and enthusiasm for learning, and enable active learning of Arabic. This research is research that uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach using the theory of Miles & Huberman. Qualitative research is a study where researchers upload the actions and behaviour of objects by carrying out research steps such as observation, interviews, documentation, content analysis and other data collection methods. The results of his research show that there are 3 stages in the application of Arabic animation-based audio-visual media namely the first stage of preparation, namely by preparing a lesson plan. The second stage of the implementation of learning. The third stage of follow-up activities. The research results obtained show that using audio-visual media based on Arabic animation provides influential results for improving students' istima skills. Teachers are expected to use learning media more often in the process of teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

This study focuses on Arabic collocations in general. Arabic has a unique linguistic phenomenon that needs to be understood by itself. The questions that will be studied focus on verbal phrases that collocate with prepositions contained in Surat An-Nisa. The word collocation comes from English, which has the word collocate which means "to place." Whereas in Arabic, the word collocation has the equivalent meaning of المصاحبة الغاوية  (al-Muṣāḥabah al-Ghāwiyyah), among these collocations is الأفعال المتعدية بحروف الجر  (al-Af‘āl al-Muta'adiyyah bi Ḥurūf al-Jar) which is understood as a verb, which collocates with prepositions. This research method is described qualitatively by using the corpus of Tafsir Al-Misbah Volume 2 by M. Quraish Shihab. Qualitatively, the writer lists and finds the equivalent of the verb phrases that are placed with prepositions and explores a broader understanding. Descriptively, the researcher describes the data found by M. Quraish Shihab in Surah An-Nisa' on Tafsir Al-Misbah. Overall, the researcher found 20 everyday phrases with prepositions consisting of 19 Fi'il tsulatsi mujarrad and 1 Fi'il rubai'i. Based on the type of verb there are 11 Fi'il madzi, 5 Fi'il mudhori' and 4 Fi'il amr. Based on the category of collocation phenomena, there are 9 Tawarud basith phenomena and 11 Tawarud warid phenomena. Based on the semantic relationship of the meaning of the collocation phenomenon, there are three synonymous relationships, two oppositional relationships, and 15 complementary relationships.

Abstract

In developing bi'ah lughawiyah, which has been running since its inception, Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School Lamongan applied the Baina Yadaik Arabiyah textbook. This step was taken so the students could acculturate to the Arab-Islamic culture as contained in Baina Yadaik's Arabiyah book. So, this study aims to analyze Schumann's acculturation model in the Arabic book by Baina Yadaik for the development of bi'ah lughawiyah PP Al-Ishlah Lamongan. The methodology uses a descriptive qualitative research type based on Schumann's perspective. In addition, this study uses a literary approach with primary data sources in the form of Schumann's culturalization model in the book Al-Arabiyah Baina Yadaik. The results and discussion in this study include: 1) the acculturation model includes social variables, namely cultural domination, the pattern of integration, level of exposure to two language groups, level of cohesiveness of the second language learning group, size of the second language study group, level of conformity, and evaluation of attitudes between groups and also psychological variables including language shock, culture shock, ego permeability, motivation; 2) All aspects of cultural competency in Baina Yadaik's Arabiyah book which were developed in bi'ah lughawiyah PP Al-Ishlah Lamongan are in line with the social and psychological variables of the acculturation model from Schumann's perspective.

Abstract

Using appropriate methods in the teaching and learning process can make it easier for teachers to convey the knowledge they have. The proper technique for learning vocabulary is mimicry and memorization. This method is used by teachers at MTSN 1 Batang Hari Jambi. the application of this method is combined with the use of image media. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the application of the mimicry and memorization method in vocabulary learning, with the aim of understanding the application of the mimicry and memorization method in vocabulary learning at MTSN 1 Batang Hari, the supporting and inhibiting factors, and the impact of its application. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data in this research was collected using three techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this research show that the application of this method is carried out in several ways, namely: the teacher reads the vocabulary several times by pointing to the picture on the whiteboard, and the students are only asked to listen after the students can understand the language then the teacher rereads it and is followed by all the students, after The teacher asks several students to read and is followed by other students and the teacher slowly covers the vocabulary and pictures on the whiteboard until the students have memorized them. The application of this method is supported by several factors, namely competent teachers, student focus, student activities, and learning media. Apart from that, there are inhibiting factors, namely facilities and infrastructure, student competence, and interests. Applying this method has a positive impact on vocabulary mastery and learning motivation. However, it has a partial effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research examines the technique of forming Indonesian and Arabic deverbal nouns through contrastive analysis. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a synchronous time range. That is, the technique of forming Indonesian and Arabic deverbal nouns through a morphological derivation process will be described as is. The data will be taken from books and journals that study techniques for forming Indonesian deverbal nouns, and from sorof books that discuss techniques for forming Arabic deverbal nouns. The method that will be used by the author in contrasting the components of the two languages being compared is the comparative method. The results of the study show that the formation of Indonesian deverbal nouns uses the technique of derivational formor affixes and derivational compound affixes. The formation of Arabic deverbal nouns (masdar) uses several techniques: (1) sima'i technique (generally for masdar which is formed from fi'il sulation), (2) affixation techniques (preffix, infis, suffix, config), (3) changes in internal vowel sounds, (4) following certain wazn patterns and (5) using letter removal and letter replacement techniques. However, the essence of forming Arabic deverbal nouns is using the sima'i technique and following certain wazn patterns. As for whether or not the formation of Arabic deverbal nouns (masdar) is regular, some are formed regularly by following a special wazn pattern called the term qiyasi, and some are formed irregularly called the term goiru kiyasi, whose formation technique uses the sima'i technique.
