Abstract

Ekosistem Mangrove merupakan ekosistem unik di pesisir sebagai pelindung daratan baik pelindung dari abrasi, intrusi dan sebagai habitat berbagai macam spesies. Besarnya fungsi mangrove ini akan sangat disayangkan ketika terjadi kerusakan karena akan berdampak ke berbagai aspek seperti matinya spesies, berubahnya garis pantai karena abrasi, masuknya air asin ke air tanah dan lain sebagainya sehingga perlunya pemeliharaan ekosistem ini. Pemeliharaan ini perlu dilakukan dengan pengenalan kondisi kawasan ini sehingga tindakan yang akan dilakukan lebih tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengenali kondisi ekosistem mangrove dan lingkungannya antara lain ancaman, kerentanan dan kerusakan yang bisa terjadi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif semi-kuantitatif dengan statistik sederhana.. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan analisis data sekunder dan observasi lapangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan indeks ancaman gelombang terhadap ekosistem mangrove meliputi tinggi gelombang, arus, bentuk garis pantai dan ada tidaknya karang penghalang. Indikator tersebut merupakan indikator yang memperkuat besarnya energi gelombang. Kemudian mengguanakan indeks kerentanan mangrove dari gelombang meliputi luasnya vegetasi mangrove, zonasi mangrove dan fungsi hutan mangrove. Indikator tersebut akan memperkuat kondisi kerentanan mangrove dari gelombang. Selanjutnya tingkat kerusakaan menggunakan persamaan bencana, dimana tingkat ancaman dan kerentanan saling menguatkan terhadap kerusakan. Hasil analisis setiap indikator diklasifikasikan ke dalam 3 kelas menurut Rumus Sturgess, sedangkan tingkat kerusakan terhadap gelombang dikelaskan menurut matrik Peraturan KA BNPB No 02 Tahun 2012 yang dimodifikasi. Hasil penelitian antara lain (1) Ancaman gelombang terhadap ekosistem mangrove di Kawasan Konservasi Pulau Dua pada tingkat sedang (2) Kerentanan ekosistem mangrove terhadap gelombang di Kawasan Konservasi Pulau Dua pada tingkat sedang (3) Berdasarkan kondisi ancaman dan kerentanan maka dapat dilihat tingkat kerusakan pada kelas sedang. Dengan pengenalan kondisi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pedoman bagi pemerintah maupun masyarakat untuk bertindak sebagai upaya pengantisipasian dan pengurangan kerusakan ekosistem mangrove dikarenakan gelombang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran model POE melalui laboratorium riil dan laboratorium virtuil ditinjau dari aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir abstrak terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Plupuh Sragen. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling terdiri dari dua kelas. Kelas eksperimen I diberi perlakuan menggunakan laboratorium riil terdiri dari 32 siswa dan kelas eksperimen II diberi perlakuan menggunakan laboratorium virtuil terdiri dari 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes untuk data hasil belajar kognitif, psikomotor dan kemampuan berpikir abstrak, angket untuk data aktivitas dan hasil belajar afektif, lembar observasi untuk data psikomotor dan afektif. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan anava tiga jalan sel tak sama dengan bantuan software SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar pembelajaran POE melalui laboratorium riil lebih tinggi daripada laboratorium virtuil, baik aspek kognitif, psikomotor, maupun afektif; (2) siswa dengan aktivitas belajar tinggi memiliki hasil belajar yang lebih baik daripada siswa dengan aktivitas belajar rendah; (3) siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir abstrak tinggi memiliki hasil belajar yang lebih baik daripada siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir abstrak rendah; (4) terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran model POE melalui laboratorium riil dan laboratorium virtuil dengan aktivitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar; (5) tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran model POE melalui laboratorium riil dan laboratorium virtuil dengan kemampuan berpikir abstrak terhadap hasil belajar; (6) terdapat interaksi antara aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir abstrak terhadap hasil belajar; (7) tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran model POE melalui laboratorium riil dan laboratorium virtuil, aktivitas belajar, dan kemampuan berpikir abstrak terhadap hasil belajar.

Abstract

This is the descriptive-quantitative research which aimed to know the student achievement on biology which specify in a view point of their learning method, motivation and EQ. Acceleration class program of 2nd grade student of SMA Negeri III Surakarta was the object of this research. Clustered random salmpling was used to collect the data, which was held by questionaire and documentation. Analysis of Variance was used to analyze the data.The result showed that any learning method was suitable for the student of acceleration programs, since we know that they have the more prominent academic ability. Abstract

Cilacap Mangrove Forest is the largest mangrove ecosystem in Java. Some differences in term of environmental condition are founded among that ecosystem, as a result of sedimentation, deforestation, industrial activity and conservation. Those differences could lead the difference of associated gastropod community in term of their diversity. The aim of this research was to know the diversity pattern of mangrove gastropod community of Cilacap mangrove ecosystem.Study site was divided into 5 station based on the dominant vegetation, mangrove conservation, the presence of polluting activity and acretion phenomena. Transects and plots were used to take the best representation of sampling by giving 5 transects and 5 alternating plot (size 4X4 m) for each transect in every station. Transects were placed perpendicular to the river/coast line. Diversity indexes were then calculatedaccording to Shannon-Wiener formula.The result showed that the highest diversity was founded in the non-accretic station, followed by conservation station, accretic station, polluted station and the least was Nypa-dominated station. Soil and water salinity, pollution, mangrove stage and its species richness were the main environmental factor driving the absence or presence of the gastropod species, thus influenced the community diversity.

Abstract

ABSTRACT- This research is aimed to reveal some misconception in genetic in some senior highschool handbook. Twelve biology books for highschool published during 2006-2010 have been reviewed. All those books show particular pattern of misconception that caused by misunderstanding about particular Mendelian approaches, inappropriate analogy and terminologies. Those misunderstanding lead to the misconception in the concept of chromose structure, protein syntheses, cell division, traits and mutation. Such misconceptions can be fix trhough the application of representative biomolecular approaches.

Abstract

The objective of this development research was to know: 1) a product- learning module based POE (Prediction, Observation and Explanation) with Roundhouse Diagram (RD) to empowering 10th grade student’s science process skills and student’s explaining abilities of State Senior High School 5 Surakarta; 2) the feasibility of module based POE with RD to empowering 10th grade student’s science process skills and student’s explaining abilities of State Senior High School 5 Surakarta; 3) the effectiveness of module based POE with RD to empowering 10th Grade student’s science process skills and student’s explaining abilities of State Senior High School 5 Surakarta. This research used Research and Development (R&D) method which refers to the development of Borg and Gall modification. The sample used in the research development are early: 1) field trial sample consisting of 6 validators; 2) The main field trial sample consisting 10 students and 1 teacher; 3) operational field trial sample consisting of 32 students. The intsrumen used in the research are questionnaire, observation, interview and test. The operational field trial used one group pretest-posttest design. Science process skills and explaining abilities data are tested by paired t-test and counted by normalized N-gain. Based on the results of research it can be concluded that: 1) the development of module based on POE with RD using a modified Borg and Gall’s development model through some steps that are research and collecting information, planning, develop a preliminary form of the product, preliminary field testing, the main product revision, playing field testing, product revision operations, field operations, final product revition, dissemination and implementation; 2) the feasibility of module based on POE with RD which is developed at the trial is categorized as good by the expert, very good by the practitioners and good by the students as well; 3) the effectiveness of module based on POE with RD is significantly increased as medium categorized in empowering science process skills and high categorized in empowering the ability to explain.

Abstract

In the classroom action research conducted has the goal that the implementation of the strategy learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL) can be used to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes. Implementation of classroom action research design was used classroom action research conducted by two cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 meetings, with research subjects Class XI AK 1 number of 40 students. Implementation of each cycle in the study consisted of four phases, namely: an action plan (Planning), action (acting), Observing and reflecting. Data collection activity of students in the application of strategic learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL), using observation techniques and data used as documentation of the final value. Research data analysis techniques are used as the final value of classical learning completeness of the final value. The calculation result obtained before the first cycle of learning outcomes with the lowest and highest 55, 90,  92.5% completeness study. After the first cycle of learning results obtained with the lowest value of 60 and 90 with the highest passing grade of 95%, after the second cycle study results obtained with the lowest value of 80 and the highest 100 with a 100% mastery learning. While active students in the first cycle of 69.2% and the second cycle by 76, 3%. With Action Research Classroom teachers can develop a variety of learning methods one with "Implementation model of strategic learning Problem Based Learning (PBL) which can be used as an attempt to enhance the activity and the learning outcomes of students of class XI AK 1, in SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono, Boyolali, even semester Academic Year 2011/2012".

Abstract

The development of learning in the 21st century, requires students to have the competency that can support in the development of the times. competency is one of them is the ability to think critically. Students must have this competency in order to solve problems faced such as environmental pollution problems. The problem of environmental pollution is one part of biology, by collaborating SQ3R model that has advantages for cooperation between students and students enggagment. is expected to contribute greatly to students able to solve problems. Quasi Research This experiment uses two way anova design (2x2 factorial). This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tambun Utara in May-June 2017. The result data showed normal and homogeneous values (p> 0.05) with 140 samples. Result of research using two way anova test got data that p value = 0.000, mean p <0.05 (reject H0). The conclusion is that (1) there is influence of SQ3R model to learning outcomes, (2) there is influence of critical thinking to learning result, and (3) there is interaction between SQ3R and critical thinking to result of learning.

Abstract

Kenaikan penduduk yang cepat di negara yang sedang berkembang seperti di Indonesia membutuhkan penangan yang tepat, sehingga diperlukan berbagai cara untuk mengontrol kehamilan. Pengaturan fertilitas wanita salah satunya dilakukan dengan kontrasepsi oral. Kontrasepsi sintetik mempunyai efek samping bagi pemakaianya antara lain ketidakseimbangan hormon, hipertensi, meningkatnya resiko kanker dan kenaikan berat badan.  Berbagai tumbuhan mempunyai potensi sebagai antifertilitas, salah satunya adalah mete (Anacardium occidentale L)., terutama bagian kulit biji. Kulit biji mete yang dianggap sebagai limbah ternyata mengandung 30% Cashew Nut Shell Liquid  (CNSL) atau minyak laka. Tujuan penelitian untuk  mengetahui perubahan histologis struktur uterus tikus putih  setelah pemberian ekstrak kulit biji mete, sehingga dapat dijadikan rekomendasi sebagai agen antifertilitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan yaitu  P1. kontrol, P2. placebo (larutan CMCNa 0,5%) dan P3. pemberian ekstrak kulit biji mete  dosis 300 mg/ kg berat badan (BB).  Pemberian ekstrak dilakukan secara oral selama 25 hari (5-6 kali siklus estrus). Pada akhir perlakuan tikus dikorbankan dan diambil uterus untuk membuat peparat histologis. Variabel yang diamati adalah pengamatan  sayatan  melintang struktur histologis uterus dengan metode parafin dan pewarnaan hematoksilin eosin (HE). Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan membandingkan struktur histologis ketiga perlakuan. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak kulit biji mete mempengaruhi struktur histologis uterus.  Terjadi perubahan susunan epitel endometrium dari epitel berlapis kubus bersilia menjadi epitel selapis kubus. Perubahan ini mempengaruhi implantasi embrio, sehingga mempengaruhi fertilitas.
